== [[File:Pawstop.png|25px]] Regarding article exclusion (removal) from Wikifur ==

* Please consult the [[Wikifur]]'s page about "''[[WikiFur:Personal exclusion|article exclusion]]''" first.
* The request must be made by the article's user, with some exceptions (next of kin, lawyer/barrister, etc...).
* The exclusion will delete the ability for others to edit it any further, plus a protection layer is added by Wikifur's [[curators]] so is no longer searchable on such sites such as [[Google]].
* NOTE: [[WikiFur:Personal information|Removal of personal information]] is normally not the same as exclusion, and it can be done without needing curator assistance.
* The request can be made in a myriad of ways (Email, [[Zoom]]/[[Skype]], [[Twitter]], [[Facebook]], [[IRC]], [[Fur Affinity]]'s DM/[[Discord]], etc...).

If you are trying to contact me specifically about an exclusion, please send me a DM via Twitter at "[https://twitter.com/SpirouWikifur Spirou on Wikifur]".

== Nyinxie ==

The WikiFur page Nyinxie has been deleted on 22 September 2021 by Spirou, see https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Nyinxie.

Editor's summary: Not ready for prime time article. What does this mean? i don't understand - {{unsigned|Nyinxie}}

:Hallo. As it was (a couple of links and request to expand the stub), the article was not ready for inclusion yet (see a full article like [[Splash Fusky]] as an example). If you still working on it, is best to build it on your user page, then copy/paste as an article when is ready to be published.

:I moved the available data to [[Nyinxie]]'s talk [[Talk:Nyinxie|page]]. Direct users there to help you out fleshing it out. Hope it is clear, Cheers - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 19:23, 22 September 2021 (EDT)

== Request: New Turkish Subdomain for WikiFur ==

Hi;

I've already posted this request in GreenReaper's talk page and emailed him but I haven't received any feedback, yet. I apologize if I'm acting impatient.

Could you create a Turkish subdomain in WikiFur so we can contribute it by our native tongue ?

Thanks. - {{unsigned|DarkBloodKing}}

==Request: Source citations==

Heyo Spirou, thanks for all your patience and help with my page so far.

I have some sources you can use for my WikiFur page, which I've put in the Talk page of my article.

I don't know how to add citations but if you can add an example I can just copy and paste stuff myself, which is entirely how I wrote the original article.

[https://whitetigerofthenorth.blogspot.com/2021/10/worldbuilding-for-my-fursona.html Here's a link to my blog where I reference my immigration], which you can add as a citation for my immigration under "early life" and change "at the age of 16" to "under the age of 18".

Thanks for everything,

Etrius [[User:WhiteTigerOfTheWest|WhiteTigerOfTheWest]]

== Issues with citation templates ==

Hey Spirou, I'm curious as to your comment on [https://en.wikifur.com/w/index.php?title=Polybun&diff=548278&oldid=548277 this revision] where you mention that the reference templates I've been working on lately were "bombing" Safari. I also use Safari as my main browser and haven't encountered issues. Are you able to provide more info on what's causing problems, or what affect it seems to be having? Thanks! {{:User:AlexanderGrey/sig}} 12:31, 23 February 2022 (EST)
:Saving on preview causes the page to lock, and eventually crash. Does not happen on (Apple-approved) Chrome or Edge (could be a Safari extension issue, maybe Grammarly). first page with this type of reference edit use instead of the ones we have been using since day one, is there a reason for using this type now?. If this is GreenReaper approved, no prob, but syntax that may cause a possible crash could be an issue (if extension related, could be a pain if I have to switch them off to just edit an article) - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 14:51, 23 February 2022 (EST)
::My assumption would be that it would be extension related if it's not happening in other browsers. Nothing too weird in the syntax either, it's pretty much the same as what Wikipedia were using before they transitioned all their major templates over to Lua (which WikiFur doesn't support).
::I started updating and using citation templates (most already existed, just hadn't been used or updated for several years) to try and bring some consistency to citations. I personally find it easier to assemble them if there's a template with specific parameters and formats to use, and it of course removes some human error from the equation. Most other wiki projects I contribute to also use such templates, so WikiFur either lacking equivalents, or those equivalents being so massively out of step, was pretty jarring for me. They're not something I'm pushing to be a standard on WikiFur, but they're a tool I personally find useful. {{:User:AlexanderGrey/sig}} 15:15, 23 February 2022 (EST)

== Block ==

Good evening,

I created the account GrantGraywolf about 7 hours ago. I can see why you blocked me, since I didn’t contribute anything and made no edits to my user page. My email address and IP are both blocked as well, so I’m sending this from my phone.

My intent was to edit the page for [[Longhorn Furs]] and create an article for its successor org, Longhorn Furries. I’m smack in the middle of finals season so I didn’t get to this right away. I’ve also read through WikiFur:About and understand wiki policy.

I would like to kindly request my block be lifted. If you need any sort of verification, I can happily send it. If the ban is permanent, I’ll also understand.

I apologize if I’ve made any mistakes, and I wish you well.

Thank you,
Grant

==Edits==
Hello!

I recently added some characters from SpongeBob to the Fish page as anthro characters. I was wondering why my edits were gone, then I saw the comment to go with it. This is my first time editing mind you but here are some links to the wikis where I found what their names are:
https://spongebob.fandom.com/wiki/Incidental_40
https://spongebob-new-fanon.fandom.com/wiki/Nat_Peterson
https://spongebob.fandom.com/wiki/Sandals

If they aren't major enough characters to add, I understand that though.
Cheers!

{{unsigned|Feesh}}

:Except for [[Mrs. Puff]] on [[W: SpongeBob Squarepants|Sponge Bob Squarepants]], we don't include incidental characters as it would quickly overtake the article. If we did so, the article would be just [[Shark Tale]] and the [[Finding Nemo|Nemo]] franchises' incidentals. - [[User:Spirou|Spirou]] ([[User talk:Spirou|talk]]) 21:17, 22 May 2022 (EDT)

I would finally solve it so that the event does not have a dead link, but they keep deleting it.

== Clarify policy about infoboxes ==

Hello Spirou, recently you reverted an edit of mine where I added [[Template:Infobox person]] to an article, with the following reason given: ''-Peson infobox. Imfoboxes are used on special article only (notability, death, others), sry''. I am confused about this, since the person whom the article is about is deceased and should therefore qualify. I am also confused about where this policy is found as I have not encountered it before. I have reviewed [[WikiFur:Policies and guidelines]] and I do not see any restrictions on where person infoboxes (which in my opinion, are simply a formatting tool) can be used. Can you please clarify where this policy is listed? I also request that you edit the Usage section of [[Template:Infobox person]] to include the policy there so that future editors can be aware of it. Thank you

== Stop blocking T-Mobile IP addresses. ==

I don't expect you to understand the technical intricacies here, but the large majority of people who are blocked/banned are using mobile devices to make edits. This makes it difficult for anyone using T-Mobile Home Internet, such as myself, to actually use the website. Mobile IP addresses are random. Due to the nature of how cellular access (?) works, it is technologically impossible to assign a static IP address to anyone using a mobile device like a phone or tablet. Even some mobile workstations (laptops) have WWAN cards that also include cellular data connections. I had to *manually* change my IP address 10+ times to get one that wasn't blocked, which involves waiting 5 minutes for my router to restart. Mobile phones make ban evasion incredibly easy. Stop blocking IPs and just force some pages (like mine) so that only registered users can edit them. I am a fearless, loud, vocal, offensive asshole with fearless, loud, vocal, offensive opinions and that upsets a lot of people, hence the repeated vandalisms on my page. Many imageboard websites running booru forks do this as well, making it impossible to upload or comment. I understand that this is technically frustrating for everyone involved, but websites like this need better (aka modern) ways to identify and quickly deal with abuse. Gone are the days of static IPs being assigned to home internet. Even normal ISPs like Comcast and Verizon are starting to randomize IP addresses for user privacy. If you want to discuss an actual solution to the problem, you or someone who works on site backend can contact me at my registered email address.- [[user:WhiteTigerOfTheWest|WhiteTigerOfTheWest]]

==Request: Source citations==

Thank you,

Hello. I'm requesting that my article [[Eurodex]] be excluded. I no longer wish for it to remain on here for personal reasons.

I believe I already moved my original username "Eurodex" to "NuclearVacuum" years ago ([https://en.wikifur.com/w/index.php?title=User:Eurodex&action=history back in 2008 it seems]). If you still need more confirmation that it's me, please let me know.

I'd also like to request the removal of the following files:

* https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/File:Don%27t_Mess_With_Him.png

These were personally done by me and I'd like for them to be removed as my article will become excluded.

Where can I find the original text?
I don't want to write it a third time.
I looked to see if I could hire myself as the director of my own event (Staf).
However, you have already deleted it twice.
There is no more information on several other staff.
I would finally solve it so that the event does not have a dead link, but they keep deleting it.

Why is it good that instead of my name, Stafs now reads: {{unsigned|188.6.73.162}}

:*Sigh* First, it’s not YOUR article, it is an article about YOU in Wikifur. Second, me, you, others, anybody can edit your article so it becomes what the article should be and work with the rest of thousands of user articles on this wiki, third, I’m not targeting you, so kindly do not THREAT anybody who gives its/their time on this wiki. I edited out your article because I’m working on other Wikifur articles offline, keeping an eye on vandals on the recent pages, and removing spam, so I had spare minutes to help you with the article about you.

Thank you

== Stop blocking T-Mobile IP addresses. ==

==Request: Source citations==

== Block ==

Thank you,
Grant

Cheers!

:Except for [[Mrs. Puff]] on [[W: SpongeBob Squarepants|Sponge Bob Squarepants]], we don't include incidental characters as it would quickly overtake the article. == Stop blocking T-Mobile IP addresses. ==

== Titles ==

Articles (the grammar, not the reading material) (A, of, the, etc.), except at the beginning of the title of something, should never be capitalized.

http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Excuse_Me_For_Being_A_Dog%21
Should be
http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Excuse_Me_for_Being_a_Dog%21

I could be wrong, but you should check a textbook just to be sure.

-'''[[Image:Skunklogo.gif]]([[User:Skunk|U]])([[User_talk:Skunk|T]])([[Special:Contributions/Skunk|C]])''' 10:10, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

:I checked englishplus.com and the site says ".. == Con dealers ==

Regarding your recent edit to [[Midwest FurFest 2013‎]], do we really want to get into the practice of listing the dealers who were at a particular convention? It seems to me like going to a level of detail that not many readers would be that interested in and which adds clutter to the article. If some dealer's appearance at a convention is particularly notable for some reason it could still be included, but I don't see why that would be the case with a couple of the dealers you've already listed. --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 09:30, 3 December 2013 (EST)

: Thought since convention articles list specific events (including shows, panels etc) that listing dealers would also be of interest. Plus the ones that are redlinks let others know which ones don't have articles yet. --[[User:EarthFurst|EarthFurst]] 13:32, 3 December 2013 (EST)

::I tend to agree that this information is unlikely to be of particular interest to readers after the convention unless certain dealers were notable by their presence. It might be more interesting to have it on the article about the dealer, so that fans have an idea what conventions they are likely to be at in the future, just as some articles record convention attendance. Even more useful would be to add every dealer to WikiFur, as almost all are likely to be of interest to furries and many may be new up-and-coming artists who we should have articles on. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 16:12, 3 December 2013 (EST)

== Categories in DPL ==

I hacked in a fix for [[Template:Furpile|categories in DPL results]]. The existing version of DPL was doing something specifically weird and I'm not sure why - the code is hideous. There's a newer version from a different maintainer who's been trying to clean it up, but it doesn't fix that specific problem and adds more breakage right now, so I'm avoiding it until things improve. The front page should work once the DPL cache times out. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 17:29, 22 April 2015 (EDT)

: Thanks for asking. GreenReaper pointed out "They are not individual artists, as is implied for that category." So removing those collectives articles from Category:Artists would be appropriate. --[[User:EarthFurst|EarthFurst]] 02:12, 4 August 2015

== Akonite ==

Hello, I am "Akonite" and noticed you have a page on me using that name.

"Akonite" is a business name I use outside the fandom. I have changed all my fandom names recently to protect my business interests outside the fandom (it was my mistake to use the name in the first place). I don't mind being on the site, but would prefer to be listed under "Kubaryi" which is my fandom name. Current internet search results have damaged some business contacts and I would like to resolve that. I am also currently resolving the name issue on other fandom sites.

I have left the name up on my weasyl page so you can see it's me and see the transition I'm making. https://www.weasyl.com/~akonite

== Request a Page Removal: Aaron Foxx ==

Request a Page Removal
Hi! A few years ago I made a page called Aaron Foxx, but it has been updated by other users to contain information such as redirecting to a page that has my real name; due to the new direction I have taken with independent work online, I would like to request that this page and the redirect be removed, since it no longer reflects my current projects or work. Thank you for your time! - Aaron —The preceding unsigned comment was added by [[User:AaronFoxx|AaronFoxx]] ([[User talk:AaronFoxx|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/AaronFoxx|contribs]]) 14:37, 9 November 2020 .

: note to self: page now at [[Aaron Carothers]]. (easier to deal with a request if there a link)(added to to do list) --[[User:EarthFurst|EarthFurst]] ([[User talk:EarthFurst|talk]]) 20:22, 10 November 2020 (EST)

I'm vingant Wolf and I'd like personal exclusion. I've got a page that I don't want up.

== I am under attack online and need my wikifur page removed promptly. It's being used as ammo against me. ==

Hello. I am Charem, the one who https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Charem is written about.

This page is both severely outdated and severely unprofessional. Also, I'm currently under attack on other websites and this page and what's on it is being used as ammo against me further.

I made an edit removing most of the information and asking for page closure to immediately remove this legitimate problem, but a staff member reverted the page back to how it was before and insisted I contact a creator. So here I am.

I would appreciate my page simply being blanked/closed for the time being, until I can update it more thoroughly. I really hope this request can be responded-to quickly. Thank you.

If my identity needs to be proven, please contact me at any of my known contacts and I can verify this request. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by [[User:Charem |Charem ]] ([[User talk:Charem |talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Charem |contribs]]) 02:11, 27 May 2021 .

== Requesting removal of a page: Primal ==

This page contains both my real name, and information about me that hasn't been true or current in almost as long as the page has been up. I'd like the page removed, please.

== Delete personal page about me ==

Hello, good evening.

There's currently two pages about me here on Wikifur that were made long ago when I was still active on the fandom, however I no longer am so I would like to have them both removed.

The pages are: https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Sckhar_Leviathan and https://pt.wikifur.com/wiki/Sckhar_Leviathan

I had blanked them both however someone undid the changes and told me to instead contact a curator to request the removal.

Could you please do it for me?

Thanks in advance.

Hello: I requested that my page be deleted, about a month ago... and, I have not heard back on it...... and so - is it possible I can I get an answer from somebody about the status of my request?

The pages I posted are here:https://en.wikifur.com/w/index.php?title=User_talk:GreenReaper&action=edit&section=223

and here (section 5): https://en.wikifur.com/w/index.php?title=Forum:Forum:Page_Deletion_Request&t=20210613043521

(If there's something specific that I need to do, to acomplish this - or, if I need to contact a certain person - can someone let me know)? because I don't know otherwise..... thanks. :)
==Proposed 'spammer' tag for informal patrollers to use==
I've noticed a fair number of spam articles of late so I've created a template to mark them as such, since I am not an admin (nor do I wish to become one! :D). My thought is that this gives other editors a way to quickly mark a spam article / spamming user for curators to take a look at if deletion and/or blocking is needed. The template is <nowiki>{{</nowiki>[[Template:Spammer|Spammer]]<nowiki>}}</nowiki>. I'm putting this suggestion to each of the curators; I hope this is a useful tool. If not, feel free to delete it. == To Unblock Coco Rapidpaws ==

Good Morning, EarthFurst.

Few years ago I was asked by my High school to take down my WikiFur page, due to "Sensitive Content" Well I don't understand why they was searching me up haha but yeah is it possible to give access back to me to edit my page once again?

Looking forward to your reply!

Kind Regards,
Coco Rapidpaws

== Remove my (Tygs) details please ==

Hi, you have my date of birth displayed and I've never given any permission for my personal details to be on your site (under Tygs). Can you please remove my info from your site as I've previously tried to edit/remove it myself and the the info was reinstated. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.109.24.8 ([[User talk:81.109.24.8|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/81.109.24.8|contribs]]) 18:39, 8 November 2021

Hello EarthFurst hope this message finds you well!
I'm writing you today asking for help with formatting the wiki page i made for my self at https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Spritz_Skusky i really would appreciate some help formatting it. I used a templet and kept editing it to make it look nice and the right way to format it but i still get a bunch of windows up top saying its not formatted correctly. If you could lend me a paw to get it to be acceptable to wikifur book of formatting code so i don't get those windows up top telling me to fix it every 24 hours after me editing it i would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance! ~Sincerely Spritz Skusky

== Fiction pages ==

Hi, EarthFurst! I understand that you're in charge of the fiction pages here at WikiFur. If so, I would like you (or whoever holds that responsibility) to check out my new page https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Thebe_and_the_Angry_Red_Eye , then answer these questions:
* Is the article too long?
* Should I remove the section that reveals the ending?
* How can I fix my formatting errors in certain links?

Thanks for reading, EarthFurst! I look forward to your reply. [[User:Bfl|Bfl]] ([[User talk:Bfl|talk]]) 19:24, 8 April 2023 (EDT)

== Please DELETE `Jamie Malecki' article, period. ==

Hello EarthFurst: How are you? Because I am not happy to since learn that WikiFur has uncensored flaws, which has only enabled frustration, bickering, etc., I had since been conned about Wikifur -- I beg you PLEASE COMPLETELY DELETE (no excuses not to) the article of my name, period. Adding insult to injury, which we (and we'd agree) cannot be tolerating, it has poorly ended up an excuse for dangerous and appalling gossip, despite one's domain of turn I realize I never should have trespassed. Having said all that, I did try asking earlier, but to no avail, it still frankly cannot exist anymore online. Another important reality check forever has it that I am not a perfect person, nor is anyone else. Even if unofficial cleanout is a temporary solution, under an assumed name, again a full-blown DELETING of article would better FREE me (never to return/partake again too) and be gratefully appreciated. Thank you ahead for any co-operation and take care.

~Jamie M.
