Hey man, it's good to see you here! Welcome to WikiFur. :-) --Dmuth 00:32, 20 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Heyblibber: final showing?
Heyblibber: is it ok if the Heyblibber article includes that MFF2006 might be the final showing of your fursuit of Chester ? --EarthFurst 00:16, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

==

Sorry for the long delay in answering, EarthFurst, but I have struggled with whether or not to continue as Chester, and have finally decided to let someone else have a go with the fursuit, instead. Why? I had my fun, and I don't feel a need to wear it again. To keep it short, I guess I am satisfied that I proved certain things to myself and experienced all that I needed to experience as a fursuiter.
--Heyblibber 11:25, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Heyblibber, can I see a real life picture of you somewhere? I saw you at AC'05 and, ahem, I found you in the suit a little...interesting (okay okay, VERY interesting...), and I want to know what the person in the suit looks like! :) --Gavinfox 23:36, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Sure, Gavinfox. :) Just send me an email to heyblibber@gmail.com, and I'll send a pic.

Heyblibber:

Q: How did you "get into furry?"

A: I always had an affinity towards anything furry or plush, but it wasn't until December, 1984, when I was 14, that I saw the trailer for a new cartoon that was going to be aired the next year--called, The Thundercats--that I really "got into furry" completely.

I took photos of the TV screen when the show was on (didn't have a VCR yet), and also tape recorded the audio and transcribed it. Later, my friend and I would sit with a reel-to-reel tape recorder and re-enact the episodes. I also remember skateboarding with my friend to our old grade school playground and just talking about how good it would feel to have Cheetarah's fur rubbing up against our skin. At the time, I also had an interest in Liono, but didn't want to admit it to myself until much later.

I remember I wanted very much to be a Thundercat, too, and to have fur instead of hair. I felt it was childish to want this, since I was growing up and in high school, but it persisted.

The cover of my first "official" band cassette tape (when I was 15) had a photo of Cheetarah on it.

Many years passed and I forgot all about it until the late 1990's, when I rediscovered furry--and Chester Ringtail.

I attended my first con in 2001 (MFF), and felt an overwhelming wave of gratitude and relief that there were others who felt the same way about furry, anthropomorphic characters--and I received my first hug from a fursuiter.

That did it! I wanted a fursuit, then, too.

My lust/love/desire for Chester was pretty intense, and once again I wondered at myself. However, I decided to go all the way and try to "get it out of my system" by, in effect, "becoming" Chester.

I wanted to know what it was like to become something else, something with fur--something cat-like, something I lusted after and also a character that others already knew, so Chester was the perfect choice.

At the time, there was another fursuiter (a German fursuiter named Whitepelt) who already had a Chester suit, but I decided to go ahead and have one made, anyway, because it was such a popular character that it only seemed natural that more than one should exist in fursuit-form.

In 2004, for the suit's debut at Eurofurence 10, I decided to do a musical performance on my keyboard (since I can't dance worth crap), and as luck would have it, it went over well. Since I couldn't see very well out of the head, I practiced the piece for a few weeks beforehand--blindfolded and wearing floppy gloves--to simulate performing in the suit! At the performance, my mate, Fuzzywolf, MIDI-ed another keyboard to mine and was able to control the effects and paramaters of the sounds I was using, in realtime.

It was the most fun I ever had at a con, and I agree with Uncle Kage when he says it was the best furry convention, ever!http://www.unclekage.com/efx/index.html

Hmm. What are the steps to archive old posts?.
Please? =) Spirou 03:11, 22 Dec 2005 (UTC)
:1) Edit your own page, make a link to "Your Page/Archive1".
:2) While editing your page, copy the text you want to archive.
:3) Click on the link for the archive page, and paste the text there. Put a blurb at the top of page about it being an archived copy.
:4) Edit the main page again and cut out the archived text.

:That should be about it. Let me know if you run into any problems. --Dmuth 03:20, 22 Dec 2005 (UTC)

::Thanks, will give a try ^-^ Spirou 03:22, 22 Dec 2005 (UTC)

The guy has serious issues and seems to have a "thing" for stalking me, if you know what I mean. I know I don't have any say in the matter, but I would suggest banning him. He is a furry troll that follows me online. He goes by the name of "Romper". Sorry for all the trouble. ): I feel really bad.

Heya!
Heya, this is MooglePower. I'm currently using a public library computer at UCLA, so I haven't logged in. I still need to create a user account for myself, although I've done a lot of work on the pages for UCLA and some other miscellaneous things. Thanks for the invitation.

Thanks for the note on my Wiki thing. One thing I did want to ask, I've spent time creating my own page User:SlyCat, however it seems links everywhere else don't have the User: in front of their names for their profiles. Have I done this correctly or should I move my profile to a SlyCat page and make User:SlyCat redirect?

The above message was from me
Oops, you can tell I'm new to the whole Wiki thing ;)

Thanks and sorry for the extreme delay! :P
This is the first time I've checked my messages on here--ever! So forgive me. I hope all is well with you and hope to see you again sometime soon! :)
