Steps up to mic, straightens tie, clears throat, taps mic. "This thing on?" Murmurs of assent. Clears throat again. "Minecraft good." The crowd excitedly begins to talk amongst themselves, many holding bated breath. "Fortnite..." A hush falls over the crowd, rapt attention held. "Bad." Suddenly, the crowd goes wild, screaming their praise, running over each other to hug a loved one. Whistles of elation are heard and many are seen sobbing. The fursona is some weird kind of escapist thing where you pretend to be an animal. Escapism is good during international market crashes, but don't take it this far, ok?

== Historical origin ==

Some guy made up a beastfolk character in D&D. Said guy thought it was hot.
Said guy was also the few who voted against Ronald Reagan and went insane as a consequence (just look at the election map). Said guy pretended to be his D&D character by dressing up as it in public to escape Ronald Reagan's clutches.

It's also thought that Richard Nixon invented the fursona and had a fursuit, in fact a deleted scene from ''Dick'' (1999) illustrated this quite well.
