Glowsheep is the nickname of Ashley, a multimedia artist from Georgia, USA; originally from California, USA. She is mildy active in the fandom, she attends FWA and is a member of several fandom-related communities on LiveJournal.

Glowsheep the person
Ashley is a younger participant in several fandoms. She is known to attend both Furry Weekend Atlanta and Anime Weekend Atlanta annually with occasional visits to other local conventions. Her main contributions to the community are in many different forms of art. Ashley's main interest is costuming, including cosplay, fursuiting, and theater. While she likes costuming best, Ashley is better known in the furry sphere for traditional drawing and painting. She rarely offers up commissions of her work, but rather prefers drawing gifts for friends and experimenting on her own.

Glowsheep the name
Much confusion comes from Glowsheep's name. Contrary to what many believe, Glowsheep is not a sheep, nor does she glow. Ashley's nickname came from a illustration by friend, Brushfire which pictured Ashley in a shirt with a glowing sheep on it. Much conversation on what the "glowsheep" was and what it meant followed. Shortly afterwards Ashley started using the title "glowsheep" on various websites and forums for the sake of the inside joke, but over time friends both online and off began to call Ashley by the odd name. Over time Ashley decided to make a character to represent what "glowsheep" really was, and designed Glowsheep the anthropomorphic harp seal.

Glowsheep the character
Glowsheep is an anthropomorphic female harp seal youth. In appearance, Glowsheep has the body and structure of a human girl with a seal face and webbed hands as well as small sea lion-like ears. Her hairstyle varies, and will sometimes match that of her creator, but usually Glowsheep is presented with a short style with a layered back and asymmetrical front in light pink. Her unique fashion style is just as varied; she wears colorful clothing ranging from bohemian to harajuku street wear.
