== Tracing for Commissions ==

The main complaint that has been made against Shadowpelt is that she accepts commissions for original work, but she then traces them from official artwork on websites such as [[Neopets]] and [[Subeta]], or even from other artists.

Eventually, she started to evolve from tracing to eyeballing, as she had done with a commission for [[Spunky]]. Again, when confronted about the similarities, Shadowpelt promptly deleted the submission, sparking even more controversy for her.

Although Shadowpelt is known to trace and eyeball images from other well known artists in the furry community, she has also been known to trace images from other sources, such as cartoons and online pet sites.

== Subeta and Neopets ==

Shadowpelt was eventually reported to the Subeta staff for tracing images from the site, and selling them for actual money. As this is against the rules, and a violation of copyright, the staff at Subeta banned Shadowpelt from the site.<ref>[http://spottedwisker.deviantart.com/journal/15648825/ Shadowpelt Banned for Art Theft]</ref> Since her banning from Subeta, Shadowpelt has not traced any artwork from the popular online pet site.

Shadowpelt has also been caught tracing over Neopets art as well, though at this time there has been no confirmation on whether they have also banned her. Commissioning for an image that includes a neopet in it is against the terms of service, as it violates copyrights.
