FrostTheFox: /* Hello. Thank you for blocking me */

welcome --Higgs Raccoon (talk) 20:24, 17 May 2016 (EDT)
Merging User
Thanks for merging my old account, I couldn't remember if mediawiki allowed for straight up deletion of accounts/merging, I should've just asked, but thanks anyway! --FrostTheFox (talk) 21:05, 12 February 2017 (EST)
:There's an extension for it, and you're welcome! --GreenReaper(talk) 21:06, 12 February 2017 (EST)

Zack
Heya Higgs, I noticed you reverted the edits to the Zack disambiguation page, but the listing that's being deleted is someone voluntarily excluded, so I would say linking to their article doesn't provide much info and is going against the exclusion. I'm not sure if you just didn't notice it's protected, so I figured I'd bring it up. --FrostTheFox (talk) 16:28, 14 September 2017 (EDT)
:Yes, I noticed Zack Firefur was excluded, but personal exclusion does not mean every mention in every page gets excised. Even if the main article is excluded, it is still valid to include the name on the disambiguation page for "Zack", and from experience it is WikiFur's policy to do so.--Higgs Raccoon (talk) 16:37, 14 September 2017 (EDT)

Assume good faith
Please remember to assume good faith when reverting edits by another user, as in the case of NekosRntFurries. This is especially important when dealing with newcomers. Unless an edit is clearly disruptive it is probably not appropriate to place the "Don't vandalize" template on their talk page. --Equivamp - talk 00:17, 18 September 2017 (EDT)
: Apologizes, I'm a moderator of chat channels and we have strict policies, I'm not very accustomed to good faith rules. I'll keep it in mind for the future. --FrostTheFox (talk) 00:28, 18 September 2017 (EDT)
::Think of it this way--their edits were essentially a repeat/emphasis of what is already on the article, without an understanding of WikiFur's goals or style. Templates that might be helpful in similar situations are Agf-welcome and Cannot-use. Or, you could manually leave a message explaining the revert. --Equivamp - talk 01:00, 18 September 2017 (EDT)
::: Thank you for those templates, I'll keep those for future use. --FrostTheFox (talk) 01:13, 18 September 2017 (EDT)

Meisarrg
I know it's not technically following procedure, but I would have left Meisarrg as it was edited for now. Talk:Meisarrg shows he actually had properly requested exclusion (after I contacted them to help them) and GR confirmed it, it just slipped past I guess and wasn't removed. --FrostTheFox (talk) 21:48, 1 November 2017 (EDT)
:You're right, I'm sorry, I see it's excluded now. I'd usually check for things like that but in this case didn't bother knowing the history of how many times this page has needed to be reverted already. --V. CA (talk) 12:25, 2 November 2017 (EDT)

Changed is an independent action puzzle game created by Dragon Snow (Chinese:兽屋之龙), released on Steam on 4 April, 2018. An English-language version became available 13 May, 2018. As of 23 October, 2020, the game holds an aggregate review score of "Very Positive", based on 2,948 user ratings. In Changed, the player takes control of Colin, a human who wakes up in a strange laboratory filled with latex creatures and learns that most of humanity was wiped out by a plague.

Plot
Colin wakes up in an unfamiliar room, unaware of how long he's been asleep. Confused and scared, he starts to make his way out of the facility, avoiding creatures made of latex. If caught by the creatures, they either absorb him or turn him into one of their kind. Colin encounters a latex dragon who answers his questions, informing him about a viral plague that hit humanity, rendering them nearly extinct. From there, Colin reaches a library and meets Puro, a cheerful latex wolf that helps him. Colin can choose whether to treat Puro with kindness, affecting which of several endings the player achieves.

Colin is temporarily separated from Puro in a generator room, where he reads with disbelief that he had been in a coma for five years. When Puro catches up to him, he tells Colin that he needs a host to survive. If Colin was sufficiently kind to him, Puro will continue to travel with him, but if not (or if the game is played on the "Easy" difficulty), he attacks Colin and assimilates him as his host.

The pair encounter a scientist named Dr. K, who was once a human, but voluntarily transformed himself into a white latex wolf. The scientist captures Colin, insisting he not leave because the human may be infected with the virus and cause a new outbreak if he does. After escaping the room he was trapped in, Colin goes to confront Dr. K. again. If Puro was treated insufficiently kind, he is dead, and Dr. K overpowers Colin, using him as a test subject for experiments. Otherwise, Colin finds both Puro and Dr. K unconscious, with Puro waking first and explaining that the two had fought.

If Colin decides to escape from the facility despite the scientist's warnings, Puro leaves with him, but he soon falls ill and dies from the virus.

If Colin decides to stay, but was not nice enough to Puro, Puro leaves without him. He promises to keep in touch, but when he falls out of contact, it's implied he died without a host.

If Colin is indecisive and was nice enough to Puro, Dr. K performs a procedure that transforms Colin into a white latex wolf. He also provides Puro with a robotic host, allowing him to survive without absorbing anyone. The pair are able to leave safely, while Dr. K remains in his lab.

The Katurran Odyssey

2022-04-02T04:51:36Z

FrostTheFox: Reverted edits by 23.108.30.183 (talk) to last revision by 2601:18D:4980:90:AD01:738B:7B4D:8651

The Katurran Odyssey is a fantasy book written by screenwriter David Michael Wieger, created and drawn by Star Wars creature designer Terryl Whitlatch, and digitally colored by Stephanie Lostimolo. It takes place in the fictional world of Katurrah, which is inhabited by sapient versions of Earth animals. The first book of the The Katurran Odyssey was published in 2004 by Simon & Schuster through the transmedia company Imaginosis.

Synopsis
The book opens with a prologue of a Bo-hibban storyteller opening the tale of Katook. Katook is the book's main character and hero, a small adolescent male Ring-tailed Lemur. At the time of the storyteller's tale, his home village of Kattakuk was suffering under an extremely severe and lengthy winter. It hasn't rained in months, the baobab trees they live in are bare of leaves and figs, and most lemurs are starving. The High Priest who rules Bo-hibba, an Aye-Aye named Gamic, holds a ceremony and collects offerings of figs to try and appease their god, The Fossah. However, Katook and his best friend find the priests and their guards eating the offerings. They are discovered and are nearly caught, but not before Katook is saved by a mysterious appearance of The Fossah. Katook is caught, and to keep him quiet about what he saw, his now-blue eyes are used as an excuse to exile from his village to a beach on the edge of Bo-hibba.

There on the beach, he encounters hatching baby turtles, and defends them from being eaten by birds. In return for this, he is taken by the baby turtles' mother on her back across the sea to the port city of Acco, intending to search for others of his own kind. After an altercation with thieves in the city, he meets up with Quigga, a vain and proud Quagga who has lost his herd.

Quigga joins Katook and they run into the Kolloboo. However, Katook is homesick and still longs for his own kind. The Kolloboo tell Katook to search for the scientist Nadab, who is staying with the Golden Monkeys, and who may be able to find creatures similar to him. They give him a map, a compass, and a message to give to Nadab. From there, Quigga and Katook venture out snd become lost in a barren desert. As it turns to night time, they hide in some ruins to escape creatures called Bone Crushers until the Patah come to save them.

The Patah bring them to their tent guarded by Glyptodonts. They present an elaborate demonstration. As Katook stays with the Patah, he learns of illusions and realizes that Gamic has been fooling the lemurs through trickery. After the demonstration, the Chief of the Patah requests Katook's presence. The Chief's son wishes to have Katook's map and compass but Katook defuses, saying that it his only way home. The Chief questions why he feels so alone and what he means when he seeks home, and shows him that he may not be as alone as he thinks.

They continue on their journey with the Patah, but are attacked by giant Dodo Birds. In the battle, many Patah are killed. Quigga and Katook escape into a river, where they are saved and healed by the Boskii. They are welcomed into their rainforest and comforted during their stay. Soon Katook must confront Dikemba and the rest of the Boskii who explain that his blue eyes may not be a curse after all, that they may even be a blessing. The Boskii point him in the right direction and tell him to follow the Butterflies, which lead them to the city of the Golden Monkeys.

In the city of the Golden Monkeys, Katook finds Nadab. However, Nadab is not of much help and does not show him to other creatures like him. Instead, Quigga is enslaved and imprisoned and Katook becomes the Golden Princess's pet. Katook, though, explains his mission to the Princess and the Princess helps him and Quigga escape. However, they are found out at the last minute and in the commotion to catch the escapees, much of the city falls down in ruins and they escape only narrowly.

Afterwards, Quigga reveals to Katook that he does not have the instinctive direction as he claims to have and asks Katook to show him how to navigate by the stars. Katook shows him how to read the skies, as the Patah showed him. The next morning, Quigga sees his own herd in the distance and tells Katook that he must leave and rejoin his herd. Katook is sad to see him go and feels more alone than ever, but then he sees a strange shifting shape in the distance. This becomes the The Fossah, who tells him that he has been beside him all the time throughout his adventures. The Fossah shows him True Home - a paradise with those who are not yet born and those who already lived. Katook does not want to leave, but knows that he must if he is to save his village from the long winter. The Fossah gives him a seed which he must plant in the ground.

Katook is transported back to his own village where he sees the starving lemurs digging for food. Katook is brought to Gamic and his Indrii guards, but uses the trickery the Patah had taught him - the same which Gamic used to fool the lemurs that he was showing signs from the The Fossah. Katook persuades the Indriis to let him go. They do, and Katook finds shelter among a rock, feeling that all hope is lost. As he sleeps, the seed which the Fossah gave him falls from his hands and into the soil. When he awakes, the sun is shining and the baobob trees are once more growing plentiful with figs.

And that is how Katook ended the Long Winter, the Bo-hibban Storyteller finishes. The audience of young lemurs insist on another story and ask whether Quigga and Katook ever meet again, but the Storyteller says that that is a story for another day.

Animals
One of the hooks of The Katurran Odyssey is that all of the animals (except one) featured in the book are all animals that can or could be found on Earth. Many of the still living animals shown are endangered including the ones that are extinct.
Some of the more prominent animal species featured in the story are listed here. Many Katurran species names in the story seem to be derived from the animal's English or scientific names.
* The Fossah, the singular, all-powerful creator of Katurrah. Butterflies and swifts seem to serve as his messengers and attendants.
* The Bo-hibbans, assorted lemurs who live in baobab groves in hanging wicker nests. Lead by Fossah-worshipping priests. Bo-hibba is a lone island located to the southwest of the main supercontinent of Katurrah, and seems to be similar to the real-life island of Madagascar.
* The Quagga roam the grasslands and veldts of Katurrah in large herds, and strongly hold the belief that they are the most beautiful creatures in the world.
* The Kolloboo are intellectuals, artists, and scientists who live in a feudal castle society just east of Acco. They possess great knowledge in forms like libraries and compasses, but have little compassion.
* The Boskii, peaceful mangrove jungle dwellers.
* The Patah are a culture of desert nomads who live with herds of Glyptodonts; which serve as transport, pack animals, and armored protection from desert predators such as Bone Crushers and Phorcus.
* The Dourahnah, or Golden Monkeys, are the most technologically and (supposedly) culturally advanced animals on Katurrah; but they are also warlike, power-hungry slave-keepers. They worship themselves, though in older times they worshiped gods, their ancestors, and in most ancient times, The Fossah.

Critical Miss and furry
The Critical Miss strip for May 21, 2011 makes a reference to the furry fandom, in a skit about the Sorting Hat from the Harry Potter universe.

After spending three-quarters of the strip sorting one new student into Slytherin ("Jesus. Look at this kid's hair. That's asshole hair if I ever saw it."), the Hat is placed on the head of an overweight boy. The reader is shown the Hat's side of telepathic communication with the boy:

WagzTail was the longest-running exclusively family-friendly furry podcast serving the anthropomorphic/furry community. Its creators and participants were, unless otherwise noted, furries who seek to promote a general-audience atmosphere and emphasize good ethics. WagzTail was, over time, sponsored by various groups and people who believe in providing safe tools and resources.

In December 2011, the podcast was the source of a major re-organization and re-branding, called "WagzTail 2.0," but with much of the same participants and staff. During this period, WagzTail moved to a 30-minute broadcast format as well as limiting the number of people who could be present in recordings. The podcast also changed from a monthly to a weekly production format. After taking a hiatus in October 2013, following its 100th episode, WagzTail again relaunched in January 2014 with its first episode of season 3. The relaunch retained the primary cast members and saw the addition of two new regulars.

The show was been edited by several people over the years. Initially edited by Jeffery "Wolfin" Core, WagzTail announced in April 2012 that a new dedicated editor, Silent, would be added to the show to improve the release schedule and to edit a backlog of shows. As of February 2013, he has since left as full-time editor, and the episodes are now edited primarily by Levi Wolstrom.

The final broadcast aired on November 16, 2016. No official details have been released as to why the podcast has ended.

News:Fur Affinity access disrupted amid owner dispute

2022-04-02T04:51:32Z

FrostTheFox: Reverted edits by 23.108.30.183 (talk) to last revision by Dmuth

Julypublish

Popular furry art community Fur Affinity was temporarily inaccessible early this morning due to a dispute over the ownership of the site.

The controversy began after Alkora Husky (previously known as Jheryn Lightfoot), founder of Fur Affinity and owner of the domain name furaffinity.net, was removed from adminship in response to a dispute over financial issues.

Both Alkora and Preyfar (also known as The Dragoneer) have reportedly said that Alkora offered to sell Preyfar the site. Alkora reportedly wanted money to move out of his existing accommodation due to "black mould" (probably Stachybotrys chartarum) and to start a business to pay for college. Preyfar was reported as saying that this offer was in the region of $8,000. Alkora reportedly said that if this offer was not taken he would be looking for other offers in the same region - however, he also supposedly asserted that he "never said I would just sell it off to anyone".

Aerak J Wolfwood - a former site administrator and Alkora's current real-life host due to the aforementioned housing issues - stated Alkora had been "considering selling it for quite some time". He said that in response to Alkora's offer, Preyfar set an ultimatum of 30 minutes for Alkora to sell the site to him on his terms, otherwise "FA would cease to be". Preyfar previously stated that site expenditures are $800/month and are likely to be $1000/month by the end of the year, and reportedly said that over $15,000 had been donated to support Fur Affinity since June 2006.

At around 2:40 EST, the domain name furaffinity.net was redirected to a page on Alkora's website, with a message from Alkora stating that "the staff of Fur Affinity have illegally taken control of a website I own". The Fur Affinity servers themselves were under Preyfar's control, but the site became inaccessible through its domain name. The site forums remained up, and administrators used them to advise users on how to reach the servers and to report their views.

Access via furaffinity.net was restored in under an hour.

All access to Fur Affinity, including by IP address, was disrupted at approximately 10pm EDT on July 27 due to a server relocation. While the DNS record updates, the server is available at furaffinity.info.

Quotes
OklaconOklacon (previously the Festival of the Feral) was an annual furry convention held in Oklahoma, USA. It was a full-weekend event, running from Thursday through the following Monday, every year on the weekend of or immediately preceding Halloween. This predominantly outdoor convention emphasized hands-on community and small-group craft, gaming, and wilderness activities. It was the first outdoor-format furry convention in the US, and, until its demise, was the largest outdoor furry convention in the world. Even with an annual turnout of approximately 350 attendees, several individuals prominent in the fandom visited the convention, including 2, Blotch, Jeff Goode, and Sub-level 03 (which made its debut in the furry scene at the first event in 2003).

From its inception in 2003 until 2014, the event took place in Roman Nose State Park near Watonga. In 2015, prior to cancellation, the event was to move to Sequoyah State Park near Wagoner.

Oklacon was organized by Fuzzy Productions, the legal entity that produced the convention for the benefit of the convention's designated charity, Safari's Interactive Animal Sanctuary in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, USA, from 2004 through 2013. From 2004 through 2013, the attendees of Oklacon raised over $50,000 for the charity. In 2014, the charity beneficiary for Oklacon changed to WildCare Foundation of Oklahoma.

Audience
By design, Oklacon was geared to be a local convention catering to furs in the Southwestern US; however, registrants from as far as Germany attended. Oklacon was 70 miles from the nearest airport, and most attendees drove from Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and other surrounding states. Roughly half of attendees were from Oklahoma, and approximately 25% were from Texas. It was advertised as the most affordable furry con in the world. Oklacon's registration price was less than half the average basic registration prices of other major conventions. Only one other convention, Furry Connection North, posted a lower pre-registration price, although Oklacon registration fees included lodging accommodations and some meals, which made the bulk of attendance costs the cost of gas.

Often 50% - and up to 80% - of each year's attendees had not attended a prior Oklacon event. A majority of first-time Oklacon attendees (by a show of hands at each year's opening ceremonies) self-reported Oklacon as their introduction to furry conventions. The convention marketed the bimodal nature of the attendance base, with a large percentage attending Oklacon as their first furry convention and a large percentage having attended Oklacon for many years, as a positive aspect to prospective dealers and artists who wished to introduce their work to new audiences.

Events
Like many other outdoor-format conventions, Oklacon combined events typical of traditional hotel conventions with unique events that took advantage of the specific venue or general wilderness environment. Traditional events included a Dealer's Den, an Artists' Alley, an Art Show and a Charity Auction, which took place in a multipurpose building in the center of the group camp site, named the 'Turkey Roost' by the State Park staff, as many wild turkeys were often seen around the site prior to the arrival of the larger convention attendance. Outdoor events ranged from Frisbee contests, volleyball, fursuit bocce ball, and monster croquet, to Predator and Prey. A delegation from Feral! visited and imparted one of their staple events, Predator and Prey, into the annual event calendar, which remained a popular and large event, lasting up to three hours of game play each year. The convention had a strong focus on its charity, and many events, including the Charity Auction, Charity Poker, and proceeds from regular art auction sales directly or indirectly raised funds for it.

Cancellation
In September, 2015, is was announced that Oklacon had been "cancelled this year and indefinitely". Earlier that year, it had been announced that Roman Nose State Park had terminated their relationship with Oklacon, and denied the group camp application for Oklacon 2015.

Previously that year, Oklacon staff had noted "a chill indifference from the park managers and rangers in the past few years":

Things came to a head during Oklacon 2014, when "three first-time attendees showed up a night before opening ceremonies, intoxicated themselves, and engaged in public sexual intercourse in the middle of group camp in night."

In the State of Oklahoma, women cannot legally consent to sex if they are intoxicated, even if they consent before or afterwards, so park management reported this incident to the Blaine County District Attorney as required by Oklahoma law. Various Oklacon volunteers who witnessed the event also provided written statements of the incident, to fully disclose what occurred and to document Oklacon's appropriate handling of the issue; upon discovering this incident, Oklacon staff stopped it, immediately reported it to the rangers, and ejected the three individuals from the convention.

Some months later, the park rangers realized they did not document the event properly, and asked Oklacon for additional follow-ups to the statements they provided. The Blaine County District Attorney, in his official capacity, requested through the rangers a full attendance list for Oklacon 2014, so that he could potentially contact each attendee to see if they could corroborate the written affidavits they already had.

Oklacon did not feel this was right or required by law - whilst they had provided written affidaviats and information about the three individuals ejected from the event, they felt it was not appropriate for them to turn over the names, addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth, car tag numbers, and dealer tax ID numbers of those who had no involvement or knowledge of the incident. Hence Oklacon staff declined the request, and indicated they would fully comply only if legally compelled to do so by an official subpoena.

No subpoena came, but Roman Nose park staff returned their deposit check, provided a two sentence denial letter, and referred them to their state general counsel (their lawyers) for any questions. Although Oklacon staff followed up with their general counsel, an impasse was reached and Oklacon staff found a new home at Sequoyah State Park for Oklacon 2015. This fell through when "an Oklacon attendee directly contacted Sequoyah and linked our event with these serious lapses in judgement by those three individuals that damaged Oklacon’s reputation and ability to host at RNSP to the Sequoyah State Park staff." Sequoyah viewed Oklacon as "too large of a liability to be hosted there", and they received notice from the state-level management of the park system that they would be denied from re-entry to any state park in the future.

With this in mind, Oklacon staff announced the indefinite cancellation of the convention. Some staff subsequently formed a smaller camp-out event, Furry Retreat.

Chinburd, also known as Cas, Cuna and Lacuna, is a furry writer who lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Fursona
Chinburd's fursona is a genderqueer feral grey fox/deer hybrid. The name "Chinburd" derives from their previous avatar, a chinchilla/American Kestrel gryphon. They use the pronouns they/their/theirs.

They are sometimes seen as Sparkle!Cas, a neon orange fox-deer with star-shaped spots, cyan skin, and sky blue antlers. Their eyes are purple and have star-shaped pupils. For maximum obnoxiousness, they have tiny little vestigial wings that have no function other than to be adorable.

Goon

2022-04-02T04:51:29Z

FrostTheFox: Reverted edits by 23.108.30.183 (talk) to last revision by Spirou

unref
A Goon is a netizen who has an active account on the Something Awful forums. SA Goons have become infamous for trolling groups such as the otherkin, anime, and furry fandoms. This often involves gimmick pranks, stirring up trouble in those communities via defacing, or an invasion in the form of a "swarm" (referred to as a Goon Rush, an homage to the Zerg Rush from Blizzard's StarCraft).

It is notable that not all goons act this way -- Something Awful's rules explicitly state that defacing, harassing, or invading other forums or communities is not permitted and subject to account banning. However, action is rarely taken against users who turn their online behavior into real-world harassment.fact Compounding the issue is the large volume of lurkers and unregistered users on Something Awful's forums who take it upon themselves to commit such acts of harassment, both on the Internet and in real life.

During the over ten years that Something Awful has been in existence, the attitude toward furries has relaxed in general, fact and there are a few posters who are tolerated while being open about being furry.

Goons and furry
The relationship between the furry fandom at large and Something Awful is strained, due in large part to the actions of the Something Awful writers' regular "showcasing" of personal furry websites in their "Awful Link of the Day" feature throughout the early 2000's, and the resulting trolling and DDoS attacks taken on the owners of such sites.

Real life trolling
Along with the normal forum/community/journal trolling, some individual goons have taken it upon themselves to "invade" a furry convention or similar meetup. Incidents have been reported at Texas Furry Con, Feral, fact and Anthrocon.fact

Griefers
Many online games (such as Second Life) refer to this trolling as Griefing. Some better-known goon griefer groups include the Second Life-based W-hat and the now-defunct Voted 5. While W-Hat has become a mostly benign group in recent years, the Voted 5 group was the more outright destructive group, and as a result was banned entirely from the Second Life grid in the fall of 2006.

Furry goons
Some goons are also furries. Known goons include Verix, Foggy, Necco, Evol, Banrai, Tiltwolfe, Vitae, Quilrynn, Phenoix, Malkith0, Skipopatomus, Mianame and Og Oggilby.

Lupine Assassin (real name Allan Greenwald; born November 10, 1971), is a furry commissioner and music mixer from Brooklyn, New York, USA. His fursona is a black wolf wearing a red bandana and black headphones around his neck.

Biography
Lupine Assassin joined the U.S. Army in May 2009, shipping to Fort Benning, Georgia for Initial Entry Training. === Commissions and Fur Affinity ===

Lupine Assassin was banned from Fur Affinity at the end of February 2009 for using money gleaned from others as a donation to purchase commissions. He was banned at least twice after this incident.fact After joining SoFurry, he posted an apology for the incident on his journal there and on DeviantArt, and his offer to donate $500 to Fur Affinity, stating that he had "an addiction to art." Comments to the post were largely derisive and concerned demands for refunds of donations.

It was discovered that Lupine Assassin had been creating other accounts on Fur Affinity in order to evade his block. At least five accounts were discovered and banned.fact At least one other userwho was banned for letting him use their side accounts.fact

Lupine Assassin said he would refund donations made to him, As of September 2010, he claims all of the people had been paid back, but there are a few individualswho who insist they have yet to receive repayment.fact

On February 23, 2014, Lupine Assassin's ban was lifted by Fur Affinity administrators.

DMCA
Lupine Assassin submitted multiple DMCA takedown notices to FurAffinity asking every drawing portraying his fursona to be deleted, even if he didn't hold the copyrights for the artwork. Dragoneer opted to remove every commission drawn for Lupine Assassin from the FA servers, rather than taking the matter to litigation. Posting any drawing depicting Lupine Assassin is now a bannable offense.
Lupine Assassin also threatened to sue Sciggles in order to get rid of a white werewolf character she created that looks like his fursona in inverted colors.

Anthrocon 2010
On June 6, 2010 Lupine Assassin announced that he was registered for and would be attending Anthrocon 2010. A petition was started by Bryan Daniels in response to this with the promise that if the petition reached 100 signatures, he'd personally file a report against Lupine Assassin for abuse of government aid. The petition surpassed 100 signatures within 24 hours, ultimately receiving over 400 signatures. Daniels filed an online submission to the New York City Bureau of Fraud Investigations the next day.fact

Bolt labels himself as a sparkledog, stating that he likes their aesthetics. Bolt is dark gray with light gray ears, paws, chest, stomach, and stripes on his tail. His eyes are a bright green color. He has a small piercing on his tongue, which is purple. He has a bright yellow crescent moon on his forehead, inspired by the Japanese anime Sailor Moon.

Another of their characters is a lion named Lunchbox, a presumably male consisting of multiple different shades of brown. Lunchbox's chest and stomach are a sandy tan color, and his mane is a darker brown color. He has crimson eyes and fairly large ear gauges. This character is yet to have been made into a fursuit, and Bolt has not stated if Lunchbox will ever be. Bolt has stated that his main fursona is not switching to Lunchbox.

A character Bolt formerly owned was nick-named the "Fortnite OC". This character was a mainly red canine character and was featured on Bolt's channel. Bolt raffled off this character.

Fursuit
On October 19, 2013, Bolt received their first fursuit, which was made by Owling of Green Fox Fursuits. They sold their fursuit in September of 2015 and has since commissioned and received a new one from lazylupe.

In the early Summer of 2019, Bolt sold their 2nd fursuit to someone on Instagram. They later changed the name of the fursuit to "Beeb". Bolt later got a 3rd fursuit which they refer to as "Bolt The Raccoon Man" by Kiwi Cabot. By August 2019, Bolt had made eight videos without their fursuit but has since deleted all of them.

YouTube
As of September 2020, their YouTube channel has over 46,000 subscribers. They primarily do vlogs centered around the furry community. In January 2019, they decided to take a long hiatus from YouTube and the furry fandom in general. They returned about a year later.

Jacksonville Furs

2022-04-02T04:51:25Z

FrostTheFox: Reverted edits by Erbtbrawebawbw (talk) to last revision by Novaaa

Jacksonville Furs was a group of furry fans living in the Northeast Florida area, also know as the First Coast, primarily the greater metropolitan area of Jacksonville, Florida. The group was often referred to as the JaxFurs for short. As of January 2020, the group appears to be defunct. However, the furry community in Jacksonville is still active.

Founding
The JaxFurs started out as a small group of friends hanging out on a regular basis. After a while, that group realized there must be a lot of other furs in a city the size of Jacksonville. Celestial Fox and FuzzWolf set up a meet at a local Denny's which was posted on the Florida Furs mailing list. The turnout, over 20 people, surprised the two organizers and ended up taking up nearly a quarter of the Denny's restaurant. E-mail addresses were collected from everyone who attended, and on April 10th, 2000 Celestial Fox created the first mailing list for the community on eGroups, which later became Yahoo Groups.

Events
Jacksonville had a loose-knit group of furry fans, who got together weekly for meets at the area's malls, as well as other informal get-togethers from time to time. The major get-together for the region was the Annual JaxFurs Spring Picnic, usually held in late-April, at K.A. Hanna Park near Jacksonville Beach.

Jacksonville hosted its first furry convention in March 2007, when Megaplex 6 was held at the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk downtown. This was the first time one of the major furry events in Florida had been held somewhere other than Orlando. Megaplex 7 returned to the Wyndham on 28-30 March 2008; however, the convention had announced a move back to the Orlando area in 2009.

Weekly mall meets
The community had a furmeet each Saturday at 6 PM, and the location rotated around the three area malls in Jacksonville. The location for each week's meet was found on the calendar of the group's mailing list.

The mall meets were originally devised by FuzzWolf and started out as Weekly Coffee Meets where the group would meet in front of Barnie's Coffee every Wednesday (later changed to Tuesday) at 7pm. Due to the Jacksonville area's sprawling size and the far-flung locations of some regular group members, the strategy of moving the meet location to another mall in a clockwise rotation was used to allow furs in different parts of the city to have a meet close to them at least every three weeks. The first Weekly Coffee Meet was held at the Regency Square Mall on 4/14/03. As time went by, the meets became less about meeting for coffee and simply about meeting in the mall for dinner, window shopping and conversation in the food court.

Due to declining interest and a very close poll on the mailing list, the meets were suspended after the 10/11/05 meet at the Avenues Mall. Their planned replacement was to be a series of parties held each Saturday night at an individual fur's home. When the weekly parties failed to become a regular event and several complaints were raised to the current and prior moderators about the lack of activity, the weekly mall meets were reinstated by DracoFur. The new meet time and day was chosen by popular vote on the mailing list and the first Saturday mall meet took place on 3/11/06 at the Avenues Mall. Attendance and interest had returned to previous levels and the weekly meets averaged at least 10 to 12 regular attendees.

Annual events
*Annual JaxFurs Spring Picnic
*Megaplex (2007-2008)

Mailing list
The Jacksonville Furs mailing list had served as the primary means of communication and event planning for the group since its founding.

Primary moderators
* Celestial Fox 4/2000 - 8/2000
* FuzzWolf 8/2000 - 1/2005
* Lace Aurora 1/2005 - 5/2006
* DracoFur 5/2006 - 8/2007

* STiTcH 8/2007 - 3/2009

* WindChanneller 8/2007 - ?
* Xander 8/2008 - 4/2009
* Paradox 4/2009 - ?

List history
The first mailing list was created by Celestial Fox in April 2000. Upon his moving to Austin in August of the same year, he appointed FuzzWolf as the list's moderator. Unfortunately, Celestial Fox later withdrew from the internet and FuzzWolf's moderator status did not allow him to add new moderators to the group. When FuzzWolf moved to Dallas in January 2005 to live with his mate, he moved all his personal mailing lists over to a new Yahoo screenname, changed the password on the mailing list's moderator account and transferred control to his successor, Lace Aurora.

When Lace Aurora moved to Orlando after graduating college in May 2006, he transferred control of the mailing list to DracoFur in the same way as he had received it. In order to allow more moderators to assist with the ever-growing group and his decreasing amount of free time, DracoFur did what FuzzWolf had been reluctant to do and created a new mailing list which would allow him full access to the group's moderator options. This allowed him to assign additional moderators to assist with the group's operation and later transfer the group's ownership to new primary moderators. The new mailing list had the same name as the original with the exception of the "-" in the URL. The original list was still kept active as an archive of information, messages and other files.

In August of 2007, the list's moderator structure changed by moving to having two primary moderators sharing ownership and assigning additional moderators as needed.

In March of 2009, STiTcH stepped down as primary moderator and returned to regular moderator duties due to lack of time, his career, and school.

Though he considers himself part of the Furry community, he identifies himself as Otherkin and enjoys the company of others who identify themselves as such. He can even be found loitering about in the Therian community on occasion.

Involvement in the Furry Community
Baral'heia helped to unite the Oklahoma furry community when on 29 September, 2002, he started OKFursII on Yahoo! Groups to replace the older, defunct OKFurs community. OKFursII's popularity has swelled in it's more than 5 years of operation, and currently serves more than 130 members both in and out of the state of Oklahoma.

He was also one of the founding members of Oklacon, The United States' first outdoor-format furry convention. As a result, he served on the board of directors for Oklacon's parent organization, Oklahoma Association for the Anthropomorphic Arts, as Treasurer for the first two years.

Before they ceased operations at the beginning of 2008, Baral'heia volunteered his services to the furry internet television channel LFUR-TV as cameraman and production coordinator. His videography work can be seen on LFUR's MFM 11 convention DVD, as well as LFUR's newscast at MFM11.

As many of his friends are also part of the Furry community, Baral'heia attends cons on a semi-regular basis to see them. While his favorite conventions are Oklacon and Mephit Furmeet, he has been spotted at Midwest Furfest and has been considering showing up at Further Confusion and Furry Weekend Atlanta.

Data

Data is a character in Extinctioners.

Data is a S.I.M. (Sentient Interactive Mouse), one of many types of "Techmice" enginered for various technological support purposes. Her primary function is to act as a data base avatar and data retrieval. She lives in cyberspace and the V-Net (Virtual Reality Network). Many believe she's just a computer program, but in reality she's much more.

Her Hybrid power is the ability to transform her body into an electrical form that allows her to transfer herself inside of the computer.

She lives (or is trapped) inside of Micro's computer glove.
Micro has cybernetic brain components that allows him to "Jack Up" into the V-net, and Data acts as his assistant for finding things on the data orb he recovered from a human camp. While she seems very mechanical in behavior, she has lately been showing some signs of emotions towards Micro.

Affect, Fantasy and Digital Cultures is an article by Debra Ferreday which was published in 2012 in Digital Cultures and the Politics of Emotion: Feelings, Affect, and Technological Change edited by Athina Karatzogianni and Adi Kuntsman. Ferreday writes "There appears to be a considerable intersection between The Endless Forest fandom and the 'furry fandom' or 'furry genre', the online subculture in which participants create personae which are wholly or part nonhuman animal and which has generated a whole genre of anthropomorphic fantasy literature and art".<ref>Debra Ferreday. The Yiff Factory, also known as TYF, is a furry night club in Second Life (SL).

Services
The night club caters to all furries, regardless of their sexual orientation. The club also plays music, holds special events, and Also has 3 private rooms and serves as an information hub to learn about the SL community.

History
The club was created by Felix Oxide in October 2007.

In early 2009, Felix Oxide sold the club to Teeny Littlething.

On June 15th 2009, The Yiff Factory was set to only allow Age Verified residents, which blocked many of the club's patrons from visiting again until their real age had been verified. This requirement was lifted shortly later.

On October 31st, 2009, The Yiff Factory was closed by Teeny Littlething, only to be reopened three days later in its original form, which had been designed by Felix Oxide. A message found within the club states that it was being run by old management. Staff from other clubs came in to help with the reopening.

A month later, The Yiff Factory closed its doors due to the owner's failing health.

Less than a year later, The Yiff Factory was re-established by Teeny Littlething, along with many old staff members. The club has upgraded its look in a tribute to the original design.

July 2011 The Yiff Factory once again closed and the island was converted to TYF Island park.

July 2012 The Yiff Factory reappears once more but as an "unofficial beta version" Operating under TYF @Wolves Inc. This version is coordinated by Spiked Mycron. Spiked Mycron has exclusive permissions to use TYF assets during this time. TYF @Wolves inc. Is located on the Purity region, this region is Adult rated and is not the permanent location of TYF, simply a beta site that Spiked is testing new features and giving people a chance to visit enjoy the environment. Access is subject to management preference.

Current TYF staff are welcome back, a new staff roster reflecting this version of TYF will be posted for historical record. Please note this is NOT an official run of the club. Teeny will resume her roles when she is able to. All inquiries are to be directed to Spiked Mycron.

July 2013 The Yiff Factory is no longer a "Beta" and is still managed by Wolves Inc.

August/September 2013 The Yiff Factory VIP group was re-taken by its former owner and creator for unknown reasons approximately 1,000 users are ejected by Felix Oxide, new groups are made to replace the one "reclaimed" by its founder who sold the club and its assets to Teeny Littlething in early 2009. Only the VIP group was "reclaimed" and to prevent farther "reclaiming" of groups that were purchased from its founder, all the groups have been re-created and are secure.

October 2013 The Yiff Factory Welcomes Club Rainbow Tiger to share space with TYF after Rainbow Tiger had been closed for almost 2 years until they were ready to expand to their own sim/parcel.

October 24, 2013 Teeny Littlething formally steps down as owner of The Yiff Factory and its assets passing ownership in full to Spiked Mycron. Teeny Littlething will remain on staff as a DJ.

Mid November of 2013 Rainbow Tiger is moved to its own parcel and once again independent of TYF Estates, the decision was an amicable decision between Both club owners.
