Draconis (Real Name: Loren McLaughlin), also known as Jugular Jaguar (or JJ), and Calamity Cougar, was a fursuiter and furry convention staff member.

Fandom involvement
Draconis had been active in the fandom since 2001. he had organized variety shows and fursuit parades at conventions, and he was on staff of Rocket City FurMeet, Oklacon, Wild Nights and Furry Fiesta. At Wild Nights 2011, Draconis served as Events and Promotions Director.

As of 2013, Draconis had worked at Furry Fiesta for every year since Furry Fiesta 2010, putting together the variety show, now known as the Furry Drama show.

In 2012, Draconis was a guest of honor at both F3 Convention and Fangcon, and at AnthrOhio on 2017.

Out of multiple stunts Draconis had pulled at cons, probably the most well known are the "Bell of Annoyance" (which helped to raise MFM's contributions to Tiger Haven charity), and "Dunk The Jaguar" (the right to throw JJ into the Rocket City FurMeet hotel pool, which was auctioned off for the benefit of the charity).

At Midwest FurFest 2005, Draconis was responsible for a petition to "change the MFF mascot to anything but a raccoon", for which he was duly chastised at the variety show.

Fursuit
Jugular Jaguar was Draconis most famous fursuit that has been spotted at almost all major furcons in the Eastern US. JJ often carried around a Magna Doodle® board which he used to communicate with the audience, if necessary.

Twitch's artwork generally revolves around inside jokes, obscure music references, video game references, sarcasm, and random silliness. His music remains unheard, while what little recorded with him ended up on demo tapes with local bands in Vermont.

Twitch has since become the lead singer of the fursuit rock band Furry Punk Rock Massacre which debuted at 2013.

Freaky Lynx: Adding birthdate

cleanup

Joe Meyer (born July 8, 1968) is a cartoonist from Long Island, New York. He draws the autobiographical comic Destroying the Illusion, and the slice-of-life comic, "Slammin' Bunneez" (on hiatus). In 2009 he created "Furreh Nuuz Teevee," a satirical comic that makes fun of the more ridiculous aspects of the fandom.

Characters
Eryshé Falafel, his primary fursona, is a character in Joe's comic Slammin' Buneez, where he is a fiction suit, unbeknownst to the characters around him. Eryshé works as security in a night club, and is the superintendent of a building. Eryshé's species is part rabbit and cat. He sports blue fur with a cream underbelly, face, and inner ear, a long, cat-like tail and oddly parallel and vertical ears. His nose and feet are more rabbit-like. His role in Slammin' Buneez, at this time is barely a minor character, although that may change in future stories. In Destroying The Illusion (version 1), Eryshé portrays the majority of Joe's role in the comic. In Destroying The Illusion 2.0 Joe is mostly portrayed as Divvy (30 posts as of 2015 December 9) with Eryshé being the second-most common representative of Joe (with 20 posts as of 2015 December 9). A full-fursuit of Eryshé, commissioned by Character Costumes, is currently in retirement.

Division Fahrenheit (aka Divvy), is a fursona and partial-fursuit, commissioned by(?) Oz Kangaroo. He is a bright red kangaroo.

Mister F
Mister F is Joe's internet presence, referring to multiple characters that could be referred to with the title "Mr. F:" Eryshé, Division, T3h Fuz0r (a white rabbit), Schulz Fuzzhead (a hybrid), and Patrick Fettleibiger (a pig), among others.

Fursuit
Joe has a fursuit named Division (also known as Divvy).

Wolfgang Wolfe (also known as Bigwolfbebad; born April 14, 1988) is a furry artist/furry writer. He now lives in Columbus, Ohio again.

Wolfgang's fursona is fat, 7-foot-tall anthro wolf with green eyes. His fur is grey except on his paws, which are black. Midnight blue hair grows from his head all the way down his back. The only clothing he wears is snug black vest and a dark blue shirt. He also sports a studded black collar and similar bands around his wrists.

Wolfgang can completely unhinge his jaws, a useful skill as he is a voraphile. Much of his artwork, done as simple black and white line drawings, depicts fatfurs, with frequent vore images.

Although not a full fursuiter, Wolfgang has been known to wear a wolf tail and fangs.

JBadger (November 21, 1960 - May 28, 2016) was a fursuiter and science fiction enthusiast from Long Island, New York, U.S.A. His FurryMUCK character, also called JBadger, was a ratel.

Fandom history
During the late 70's, JBadger attended his first SF convention, and started reading Heavy Metal magazine. In the 80's, JBadger first walked into the Science Fiction Forum at Stony Brook, and his first RPG game came soon after.

JBadger first met a furry artist circa 1986 at an AFA (anime club) meeting in New York. He first shown an issue an Rowrbrazzle by
someone showing their artwork.

JBadger started to go to SF cons for the parties, and to hang out with people he knew. with people I knew at the time. The first furry party he attended was at Philcon in 1986.

By 1989, when Worldcon was in Boston, JBadger found himself on staff for special events. In the early 1990's he would try to attend any convention where the former Mailbox Books run at that time by Ed_Zolna had a dealer's table, and started to accumulate quite a collection of zines.

In 1994, JBadger attended Furtasticon in Philadelphia, and in 1995 went to East in New Jersey. During this he was still social with the anime folks, and was given a button to go to Anthrocon in Albany in 1997. Since then he has attended every Anthrocon, and at Anthrocon 2004 was on staff helping with the Charity auction/Masquerade. Also in 1998, JBadger was a member at large on the board of directors for ICON Science Fiction, Inc.

As of December, 2007, JBadger went to several furry and science-fiction conventions each year. He was on staff as Puppet Second Midwest FurFest and was one of many Charity/Masquerade staff members of Anthrocon, owning more than forty puppets and often found behind a puppet stage.

Fursuits
JBadger owned six fursuits. His first, obtained in circa 2002 was Raccoon, who was seen at Megaplex, Midwest FurFest and I-Con that year. In 2006, JBadger got his second fursuit, Brendon, a wolf made by Arend Studios. JBadger's third fursuit, Sherbert, was a colourful zonkey who was constructed by Myfurcreations. In addition he owned Chef Sam, a wolf fursuit often appearing in a red apron and chef's hat. His commissioned ratel suit Nom Nom Crunch built by Joecifur, and finally the Halloween bat Spoopy built by Midori (fursuiter). Spoopy's zipper placement were redone by Midori to accommodate JBadger's limited movement in his right arm.

JBadger was a member of HI-4! Entertainment, a local mascotting group who perform for charities and community events.

Real life
In real life, JBadger was a volunteer firefighter and was an avid geocacher .

Death
In early 2016, JBadger in his livejournal statedcn that he was diagnosed with cancer, specifically pleomorphic liposarcoma, after finding a lump under his arm near his chest. JBadger contined a serotonin inhibitor (a trial treatment that was named after his brother called "The Harvey Miracle"), radiation treatments, and chemotherapy through April 2016, which included his entering hospice care. He passed away on May 28, 2016.

A service is being planned the Fall of 2016 with the Smithtown Fire Department of Smithtown, NY.

On May 31st his family submitted an obituary to a funeral home for publication. A number of individuals contributed, including family, Smithtown FD, coworkers, and friends.

"Lincoln W. Kliman died peacefully in the home of his brother Arthur and sister-in-law Debbie in Epping NH on Saturday May 28th, 2016 while listening to the “Sound of Music”. He was 55. He was the third son of Merwin and Bernice (deceased) Kliman of Glen Head, NY and leaves three brothers and another sister-in-law; Harvey and wife Sandy, Arthur, & Dave as well as four nieces and a nephew.

Although he spent most of his life living and working on Long Island, NY he was an avid traveler, having made many trips all across the US, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. His many interests and activities included being a volunteer firefighter and EMT, being involved in a number of clubs and conventions revolving around science fiction, anime, furry and geocaching. He graduated from Stony brook University with a BSEE and attended courses for an MSEE at Northeastern University.

Lincoln started his engineering career in the 70’s working for Telesignal. That company was purchased by Fire Burglary Instrument (FBII). The division he worked for was then purchased by ADEMCO, then Pittway, and finally Honeywell in the 1990’s.

Lincoln had a huge impact at Honeywell Melville and on the Security Industry: Lincoln was Honeywell’s “go to guy” to solve their most difficult engineering problems. He was their main Zwave device developer and was responsible for all Zwave development. Lincoln developed numerous Security Systems and supporting peripherals. He was versed in many programming languages- C, C++, Java and Python etc…. Lincoln worked and developed Applications extensively with many operation systems like- Windows, Linux, ThreadX, NetX etc….

Today if you walk into a home or business and see a security system on the wall, you can be almost certain Lincoln had something to do with it, if not running code Lincoln developed!

Lincoln was an active 28 year member of the Smithtown Fire Department FireMedic Company 6. After joining the department in April 1988, Lincoln completed his training as an Emergency Medical Technician and then subsequently furthered his certifications to become an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician. He believed that his training did not stop when he received his qualifications. Lincoln continued to attend Medical Education seminars up until a few months before his passing. Despite his illness, Lincoln continued to serve his community and the department for as long as he was able.

While serving his community, Lincoln was involved in many situations where his interaction saved lives. In 1990, Lincoln was also recognized by his peers when he was awarded the coveted Firefighter of the Year Award. In 1997, he was twice awarded EMS citations for his actions involving saving the lives of an elderly woman as well as an infant. He was always known for quietly getting the job done without much fanfare.

On a personal level, Lincoln was a gentle soul who always unselfishly tried to help the other members of the department. He was known to sign up for EMS shifts on the holidays so the other members could remain with their families. Despite his desire to keep the intentions of his efforts quiet, many of the department members noticed this generosity and appreciated what he had done for them on every Christmas holiday!

The department and community already feel Lincoln’s loss. He will be remembered as an Emergency Medical Technician who wanted to provide high quality EMS service to his patient’s and community, which was evident in all of his actions.

Since the late 1970s Lincoln traveled to attend and volunteer at fan conventions throughout the U.S. and beyond, joined role-playing games, collected science fiction magazines and puppets, and socialized with enthusiasts with similar interests.

Lincoln’s interests led him to create his found identity, JBadger, based on the personality and many stories of honey badgers and the science-fiction film series Men In Black. His life is an inspiration to his family and friends, whether he knew it consciously or not; he lived by the motto of living life to the fullest and focusing on the positive.

Lincoln brightened the lives of audiences by performing as different fictional characters he conceived for conventions and volunteer events. Some of these colorful personalities included Chef Sam the wolf, Nom Crunch the honey badger, and a part-Donkey, part-Zebra named Sherbert. Lincoln used these characters at volunteer performances for the group "Hi-4" to bring smiles to the faces of children and families at community events, charity fundraisers and hospitals.

Although there will be no immediate service or funeral, the family does plan on having a memorial service for Lincoln that will be hosted and held at the Smithtown Fire Department in the fall. For those interested in attending you may email his brother Arthur at akliman@gmail.com.

For those interested in giving a gift in Lincoln’s name, consider either the Abby Rockefeller Mauzé Patient Recreation Pavilion at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center or Rockingham VNA & Hospice at Exeter Hospital."

Michael Bard

Freaky Lynx:

LinkingSupporter

Michael W. "Morgan" Bard (20 October 1965 – 19 March 2010) was a transformation/furry author, former co-editor of the furry e-zine Anthro as well as the now defunct transformation e-zine TSAT. His character sometimes took a centaur form, though he was known to travel in other forms as well.

Interests
Bard's interests included hard science fiction such as John Varley or Robert Heinlein, and his work in turn tends to focus on heavily scientific themes. His writing was also influenced by humorous sci-fi such as Larry Niven's work. Michael was also a fan of pen and paper roleplaying games, miniatures wargaming and military history. He was a skilled miniatures painter. Michael had a degree in science from the University of Waterloo.

Transformation
A common theme of Bard's transformation stories is characters who quickly try to accept and deal with the situation of becoming another creature instead of staying in a state of denial, but not going as far as to eschew their former activities or responsibilities, either. For instance, the main character in the story ""A Diary of a Centaur in a Human's World" wakes up one morning to find himself changed into a centaur. After some initial adjustment difficulties, the character makes his way to work, not about to let a thing like turning into a centaur keep him from his job.

This pragmatism is used in Bard's stories either seriously or humorously given the situation, and sometimes, both at once. In "A Diary," the protagonist gets into an argument with the ticket taker at a subway station over his entering the train. The main character makes the reasonable argument that he needs to use the train to get to work on time while the ticket taker makes the equally reasonable counterargument that it would be ludicrous to allow a centaur on the train.

Bard's work frequently deals with the city of Toronto and his affinity for it, and he sometimes playfully referred to Americans as "Rebel Scum," a reference to a line from the movie Return of the Jedi.

Bard maintained an archive for stories in the Tales from the Blind Pig universe; he also contributed to both the Transformation Story Archive and, in his final years, to Shifti.

Other interests
Bard served as staff at Furnal Equinox 2010 which took place only a week and a day before his aneurysm.

Aneurysm and Death
On the evening of Friday the 12th, approximately halfway through his shift at a gas station, Michael "Morgan" Bard was recorded on security camera footage as he collapsed at work. He was working alone, and was found approximately 4 hours later by his relief, who noticed something was wrong due to the gas station not being locked up. While breathing, he was unconscious and unresponsive. He was immediately rushed to Toronto Western Hospital, which is the best stroke/brain injury clinic in the country.

On Sunday the 14th, at approximately 1 PM Eastern Time, the doctors pulled the ventilator, to verify that Michael's autonomic systems were still intact. He immediately started to breathe on his own, although with occasional difficulty. At this point, the doctors report that the swelling of the brain had stopped and they placed him on "saturation level" (maximum) Oxygen to attempt to help his brain recover.

Unfortunately, this was a false hope. On March 18th, 2010, the results of Michael's brain scans came back. There was extensive, permanent damage to his brain and zero chance of recovery. The family, with support of the doctors, decided to remove all life support other than pain medicine and allow him to pass on peacefully, something that fate chose for him to do on the morning of Friday, March 19th, 2010..

Michael's family and friends were able to say goodbye to him in the hospital. Jacob O'hare was also able to be at his side, as well as some of his friends in the Toronto furry community. The funeral took place in Kitchener-Waterloo, Michael's hometown. Michael was buried with one of his favorite science-fiction novels.
