Fima:

Efimous Zhivotnaye (usually known as Fima or Possum; born April 4th, 1989) is a furry living in Melbourne, Australia.

Fima has been a furry since 2005, but only discovered the furry community in late 2007. Fima met his first furs in real life at the 2007 MiDFur Link meet.

Fima dabbles in anthropomorphic art and writes the occasional furry story. He has shown marked improvement in his art since beginning towards the latter half of '07.

Filling his days with work and various other side projects, he is currently a Junior Executive and Events Manager for MiDFur, as well as Head Admin of the Melbourne Furs group.

Description
Fima stands 6'3" with a large build, usually with short black hair his normal con-meet clothes are jeans, a long striped shirt, and a shirt with the astrological sign of cancer Homestuck reference.

Melbourne Furs
Started in early 2010 the Melbourne Furs group was designed as a point for new and old furs to get together and meet, and encourage the community to band together as a whole, the original creators were Lexdog, Jackaroo Dragon and Efimous Zhivotnaye. After a while of recruiting and talking Fima organised a fortnightly art meet, dubbed the Bi-Weekly Art Meets [a point of grammatical contention to this day, much to the dismay of the admins], initially meant as a place for artists to get together, draw and share ideas and tips, it slowly gained momentum to the current more social style meets, which can receive up to 50-60 attendees.

After the better half of a year Jackaroo left the group for personal reasons, Lex Dog left shortly there after, Fima held out for a while before another few brief stints working with Reziah and Cyn Wolfe respectively. After feedback from the community an attempt at a small board of admins was floated; but poor wording meant the project was poorly received and overwhelmingly negative feedback meant that it was abandoned.

From early 2012 to the present, the current administrators of the group are Efimous and Charlotte

Fima: /* 2008 */

The Dubbo in February Furmeet was a furmeet held during February at Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia. The event is based around a visit to the Western Plains Zoo and was organized by Fima. The name of the meet was encouraged by the general format of bigger Aus furmeets; (city in month,FUR) MiDFur.

Attendance was theoretically free,(The cost really being in getting to dubbo) with a small gift bag for each attendee; however, some locations, such as the zoo, require an entrance fee.

History
Diffur was an annual event designed to encourage regional furs to start attending and starting their own furmeets and hang out in a relaxed atmosphere with some interesting people.
Unfortunately after the initial pull of a new event and the idea of a regional meet, poor planning and execution as well as the lack of interest from those who were within a reasonable drive the interest of everyone waned, including the organiser.

2008
The 2008 meet was held over February 22-24 with seven attendees: DDD, Treemeadow, Batty, Sebastian, Neelix. Tarushiri, and Fima. Attendees enjoyed a whole half of the zoo (not having the foresight to drive), videos, barbecues, and artings.

2009
The dates for the 2009 meet were set for February 20-22, with some more concrete plans. including a visit to the Shoyoen Japanese gardens. Neelix came all the way from Melbourne again, for which he received big props, Tarushiri also arrived. Bowling, movies, art jams and arriving at the shoyoen gardens before seeing everyone off.

2010
Due to several factors including work, family and waning interest due to the long distance the event was cancelled, then the organiser Fima, moved to Melbourne, Victoria, finishing off the event.

Diffur
Fima is the self-proclaimed organiser of "Diffur" (Dubbo In February FURmeet), a proposed 2008 furmeet based around Dubbo's Western Plains Zoo and general furry high jinx. This year's attendance was good considering the amount of furs in NSW. A video night and some lighthearted fun and zoo going made for a good time for all, Next year's date is almost decided and advertising expected later in the year and possibly during other meets.

The dates for Diffur '09 has been set for 13th to the 15th in February, next year will feature more activities and guests like Kraden, check back for updates
