The series was slow on updates for a while, that's all. Nobody ever said anything about cancelling it, and I'm personal friend and story editor to Tempo, I know for a fact it wasn't cancelled. Lack of updates != cancelled.

==Published work==
Tempe O’kun has written a series of stories, some of which has been published and some posted on his Fur Affinity or SoFurry account. His writing typically focuses straight, furry erotica. His genres include fantasy, western and romance.

===Sixes Wild===
Sixes Wild is an erotic, western-romance about an fruit bat and sheriff named Jordan Blake who forms a romantic relationship with a hare named Six Shooter, a thief who crossdresses as a male. The two are very different: Blake is a well-educated sheriff from a family of lawyers with a strict set of principles and does his job by the book whereas Six is a thief and an outlaw who drifts from town to town, carrying with her only two revolvers and her own sense of morality. Together, they must uncover a mystery Six’s father has left behind whilst also defending themselves against the rich and greedy lion Tanner Hayes, who serves as the main antagonist, and his gang of gunslingers. The point of view switches between these three characters from chapter to chapter and the book is written in first person perspective. One of the chapters is also narrated by the Japanese tigress Mei Xiu. Other characters include Blake’s loyal deputy bloodhound Harding and the fox Doc Richards who is the local physician.

The plot is set against the backdrop of the post-Civil War frontier. The dialogues are written with western-themed sentence structure and expressions in accordance to the setting.
The story was first introduced in the form of several chapters on his Fur Affinity account and was later rewritten and published as a book with cover and interior illustrations by ShinigamGirl. The icons identifying the point of view for each chapter were drawn by Yuki.

Sixes Wild Manifest Destiny was generally well reviewed. A writer for Flyrah.com wrote that the action and mystery will please morph fans but added that the narrative switching between the main characters was “mildly annoying until the reader figures out who is talking”, and gave the book four out of five stars.<ref name="Review at Flayrah">[http://www.flayrah.com/3632/review-sixes-wild-manifest-destiny-tempe-okun], Flayrah.com.</ref> The Western Writers of America’s Roundup magazine also gave it a positive review.<ref name="Review">[http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2977033/], Western Writers of America’s Roundup magazine.</ref>

A free supplementary comic book called [http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6018370/ “Sixes Wild: The Bluff”] featuring art from [[Sidian]] has also been made. Additionally, previews for a Sixes Wild animated short film have been posted on his Fur Affinity. The short is animated by TheFunkyOne and the script written by Tempo. A number of independent Sixes Wild short stories can also be found on his Fur Affinity account.

===Code Drop===
The Code Drop series follows the odd couple consisting of a serious-minded, slightly tomboyish jackal named Tess and her goofy, playful Golden Retriever boyfriend Erik. The series is a romantic, erotic tale of their relationship and respective character development. Code Drop is posted as a series of chapters on Fur Affinity and SoFurry. More than a dozen short stories in this series had been posted as of December 2011.

An original, fully-illustrated Code Drop story was also printed in Heat 7.

Aside from his original works, Tempe O'Kun has also written the fantasy series Adept Paws as well as a Bolt fanfiction, the latter being the series with which he started his career as a writer in the furry fandom.

His Bolt fanfiction, which received much attention on both SoFurry and Fur Affinity, follows the dog Bolt and the young girl Penny, his owner to whom he directs all his love and attention. The series has been on the back-burner since 2010 as O'Kun shifted focus towards his original creations, but has seen a resurgence in late 2011 due to popular demand and is now posted on SoFurry under the account of Mittens, one of his editors for the series. The stories are some of the most popular of all time on SoFurry, consistently ranked in the top 15.

Adept Paws is the author’s first and only fantasy series. Like Code Drop and Sixes Wild, it centers on the romantic relationship between two characters namely the vixen Rea and a young, feline adept named Jax. As her village, Lagan, is attacked by flying beasts, some of the young adepts, including Jax, are captured and brought away. Rea, determined to get back to Jax, joins a search party from the village and sets out to find the other adepts.

Tempo has also posted Elder Scrolls fanfiction, which he intends to include as part of a mod for The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. This series is a romance between the Argonian Swims-With-Wolves and a mysterious vulpine Lilmothiit.

==Personal life==
Other than writing, O'Kun’s interests includes horseback riding, video games, launching objects with giant slingshots, hosting bonfires, cycling, and role-playing games. He has graduated from culinary art school as well as getting degrees in English and Computer Science. He is currently living in Bismarck, North Dakota. O'Kun is also active within the fandom and is a regular attendee at the Anthrocon convention where he has held novel previews and book signings. He has also attended Midwest Furfest, San Diego Comic-Con, and FurtherConfusion several time.

Tempo, along with Darkdragon and Chromamancer, also designed the Blotch’s upcoming card game, based on their Nordguard graphic novels. This project is currently in public playtesting at conventions, as well as gaming shops in Tempo’s home town.

He has been active in the Elder Scrolls game-modding community since about 2005. He voiced a playable race of Final Fantasy moogles in The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind in the Mog*Mod, working with webcomic artist Ian McConville.

Even though I was trying to keep the information simple and easy to find about myself, I '''was''' getting frustrated at someone editing the information behind me. :Hi Vosur, the "This person's stub requires improving" message can be removed by edited out the "person-stub" tag. That tag is routinely put at the end of short articles to encourage people to flesh them out a bit. (For example, you might say a say words about how you discovered furry fandom, what part of the fandom you are involved in (art? costuming? gaming?), what species your fursona is if you have one, stuff like that.) You can remove the tag just by removing it in the article's edit window.

Hoping you can help.

Myself and [[Hendikins]] have been attempting to upload three photos this evening for the [[Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras]] page but on completion of the upload we keep getting "Error creating thumbnail: Unable to create destination directory" in place of the image.

Any idea what we might be doing wrong?

:Hmmm, I too seem to be getting that error message, so I don't think you're doing anything wrong. It must be a technical problem somewhere. :Hello Asylumfoxy714. I sympathise that you want control over your own article, but that isn't quite how WikiFur works. When you edit a page, below the edit window is a disclaimer which includes the words:

:WikiFur Articles need to be open for editing by all so that they can be kept up to date and made to conform with WikiFur's format and style. ==Maker==
Hello, this is Strega. I don't have an account here, but the other day I noticed that someone had created a dead link to the 'Maker', a background character in some of my fiction. Since whoever created the 'Strega' entry expended a good deal of effort (it wasn't me!), I went to the deadlinked page and put in some detail about the Maker. He was an NPC in my old AD&D campaign and has appeared in some of my fiction, so I know quite a bit about him.

What do you recommend I do to put the page in compliance with Wikifur policies?

:The main problem with [[The Maker]] article at the moment is that there is no context to it - someone reading the article who isn't already familiar with the subject matter will be baffled by it. Myself, when I read it, was wondering if the history provided was the backstory of someone's fursona, or a character from a book, or a movie character, or something else.
:You might include some background to it - put a preamble in that explains the basic things like The Maker being a character in your fiction, which stories he appears in, etc. Once a reader knows that, they'll better understand the rest of the article. It may also be more appropriate to merge the article into the [[Strega]] article if it's about one of your characters. It's also rather long, it may be better to trim it down a bit and make it more concise. If the long character biography exists elsewhere, you could include an external link to it for people who decide they want more detailed information.

I've been meaning to tell you for some time--it's a pleasure working with you. I enjoy creating stubs and seeing you frequently soon add to them with external links and so forth. And you create elegeant stubs yourself!

I wanted to mention that I'm not planning to create many new articles for a time; I like the idea of our hitting ten thousand total articles soon after we move to wikifur.com, rather than while we're still at Wikia, and I'm not sure how our rate of growth will co-incide with the move schedule. I would like my birthdate kept off this page as I see it's already been indexed by Google and I feel it's a little too personally identifying. Yes my birthdate is on my livejournal page, but that is not Google indexed, on purpose. I don't mind people seeing it who've navigated there from somewhere that isn't a search engine, just don't want it on a page that turns up slap bang as the first Google hit on my nickname. Apparently there is no easy way of hiding this from Google, so I'm afraid I'm removing the links to my furry page and my livejournal for now. I prefer such pages to be found by word of mouth, by friends and friends of friends.
