Mrs. Ramas is on the executive board in charge of the superhero team Zodiac and an employee of the New Dawn Corporation.
Statistics
* Real Name: Natalia Hain
* Height: 5’ 6”
* Weight: 125 lbs.
* Age: 46
* Gender: Female
* Species: Bengal Tiger
* Government Record: No criminal record.
* History: Former head of public relations for New Dawn Enterprises. Current publicist and agent connected with Zodiac.
* Marital Status: Widowed
Background
Little of Ms. Hain's personal history is public. However,
what is known has caused her to be heralded by some as a hero
for what women can accomplish and demonized by others as
a master manipulator and possible harlot.

What is known is that Natalia traveled the world at a very young
age working many jobs such as translator, negotiator and diplomat.
While cementing her reputation and career, she was courted by
a man of extreme wealth but would not marry him until she found
a stable career for herself. She was hired by New Dawn while
still in her late teens as a public relations assistant and agreed to
marry but did not give up her career for a life of luxury. Instead,
she advised her husband to invest in the company and together
they weilded a huge amount of influence there until her promotion
as head of public relations and her husband's untimely death.

Natalia's history reads very pleasantly on the surface but she
keeps her private life well hidden and many people believe that
she is likely one of the most ambitious and manipulative people
in the business world. Rumors abound of what she has done to
reach her lofty position but most are obviously born of jealousy
at a woman who has everything.

Currently, Natalia has accepted what most feel is a demotion to
handle the Zodiac team of superheroes of which her grandson
Gabriel is a member. Gabriel's parents are independently
wealthy and Natalia has been a parent and teacher to the young
genius more than anyone else.

Ramas

Eggplantman:

Mr. Ramas is on the executive board in charge of the superhero team Zodiac and an employee of the New Dawn Corporation.
Statistics
* Real Name: Akhem Ramas
* Height: 6’
* Weight: 155
* Age: 55
* Gender: Male
* Species: Jackal
* Government Record: None
* History: Former head of finance for New Dawn Corporation
Currently assigned as financial planner for Zodiac team.
* Marital Status: Single
Background
Ramas (he prefers to be called by his last name) is both
well known to the financial world and unknown to the public at
large. His origins seem to come from a distant country where
his natural talent for anticipating changes in the market and
his gift with numbers attracted New Dawn who recruited him.
Since that time, Ramas has continued to forward seemingly
bizarre plans that have helped make the company the power
it is today. At his zenith, Ramas was ready to become president
of the company but took a demotion to spearhead his latest
endeavor: the creation of the corporate Zodiac super team.

Ramas has yet to forward any concrete grounds for this
seemingly disastrous career move but he seems to be
incredibly optimistic that it will somehow benefit the company
as a whole. Truth be told, Ramas has many supporters. His
myriad of odd yet successful business ventures have left him
with quite a reputation. Enough to warrant the company's full
support for him and a few like-minded employees hand-picked
by Ramas himself.

This elderly jackal is the driving force behind the corporate side
of Zodiac. He is often seen with a sly grin, a slight limp and is
well known for his appreciation of the dramatic and extravagant.
Few people truly trust Ramas. Many feel that he has made
shady deals with other countries while working for New Dawn
for decades. Despite the lack of trust, Ramas does very well
as his employers are forced to trust him. A situation that he
finds very satisfying.

Imani

Eggplantman:

Zodiac

Imani is the daughter of Leo from Zodiac.
Statistics
* Name: Imani Safford
* Species: Lion
* Age: 21
* Marital Status: Single
* Affiliation: None
* Base of Operations: Mobile
* History: Imani is the daughter of Zodiac team leader Leo. She grew up with him and her mother on a variety of military bases throughout the world. She currently has no permanent address and makes a living as a journalist and writer... barely.
* Government Record: No criminal record.
* Powers: No super powers. Imani is very adaptable and a survivor. She speaks many languages and has picked up numerous skills on her travels and from her father and other military personnel.
Background
This nomadic young lady has lived in some of the most hostile areas of the world and remembers her time spent there fondly. Her youth spent with her father in the military has given her a love for travel and a universal view of culture that allows her to fit in wherever she goes.
Leo's daughter has always been a source of some stress for him. He loves her deeply but her desire for adventure and trying new things has gotten her into trouble many times. Imani's luck and charm usually pull her through but the stress is the same. Eventually, Leo just had to accept the type of person she was and let her be.

Morris

Eggplantman:

Morris is the assistant to Leo on the superhero team Zodiac and an employee of the New Dawn Corporation.
Statistics
* Name: Morris A. Arbuckle
* Species: Tabby (Domestic Feline)
* Age: 30
* Marital Status: Single
* Affiliation: New Dawn Employee
* Base of Operations: Alpha City One
* History: Morris has been a minor executive in charge of personnel for the last two years. He was recently "promoted" to be the lead resource contact for the Zodiac Team and the personal assistant to the team leader Leo.
* Government Record: No criminal record.
* Powers: Morris possesses no super abilities. He has the same strength and agility of a person his age and size who engages in little to no physical exercise.
Background
Morris would have loved to continue his career from the comforting gray walls of his cubicle, crunching numbers and filing paperwork but fate had other plans for him. In one of the company's trademark strange moves, he was promoted to head of resources for the new super team of Zodiac. Now he lives in constant fear of the inevitable excitement that comes with the job.

Some would find Morris' job a fantastic adventure but not he. Morris knows that a super's life is full of danger that extends to those around them. His only method of dealing with the stress of what he feels is impending doom is the occasional awful pun he slips in around his new boss Leo.

* Real Name: Unknown (Pete?)

* Weight: 160 lbs
* Age: Unknown (assumed 28)
* Gender: Male
* Species: White Rabbit
* Government Record: No file
* History: No file
* Marital Status: Unknown (assumed single)
* Power Source: None
* Powers: No detectable powers of genetic, technological, psychic or mystical nature. Seems to possess incredible martial talent and training. Has been observed to briefly duplicate self in combat. This ability's power origin is still unknown.
* Weakness: Gemini is incredible fast and skilled but has no special defenses or resistances. He also seems to suffer from a split personality that sometimes manifests as a person with no combat ability or a berserk madman.
Background
The stranger known only as Gemini is a man with many secrets. He crashed a tryout for the Gemini role in Zodiac and thrashed the competition in an all-out brawl to prove why he should be chosen. His audacity impressed the CEO's and he was accepted (though Leo’s disapproval was noted). What is more interesting about this rabbit are his goals for joining the team. There seems to be only one and that is to confront the Zodiac agent known as Sagittarius. The two seem to share a history that neither is willing to share. Undoubtedly, their history will eventually be revealed but what is uncertain is if the two can work together and if Gemini can indeed work with anyone.

* Weight: 120 lbs. / 180 in demon form
* Age: 18
* Gender: female
* Species: goat
* Government Record: Registered paranormal. No criminal record.
* History: Changed by birth parents through a sorcerous ritual at age of four. Adopted three years ago by foster parents.
* Marital Status: single
* Power Source: magic (innate)
* Powers: Supernatural powers allow transformation into a demon with flight, immunity or resistance to most energy types. Strength, fire breath and possibly more that are as of yet undiscovered.
* Weakness: Capricorn is shy and unstable and her sheltered life has left her unsure about how to deal with many social situations. Under stress, she has been known to involuntarily transform and panic.
Background
Little is known of Capricorn's early child-hood. The only information comes from the police reports that found a young child lying near her dead parents, apparently in the middle of some occult ritual. Sometimes the change is involuntary and she has been bounced from one foster parent to another; some good, some bad. Currently, she seems stable. Her adoptive parents are loving, understanding and she has a decent amount of control over her transformations. However, she remains an incredibly shy and naive young woman that wants to be accepted but feels that she should not be due to the evil that lurks within her.

Statistics
* Real Name: Gabriel Andrews Hain
* Height: 4 ft. 5 in.
* Weight: 100 lb.
* Age: 13
* Gender: Male
* Species: Bengal Tiger
* Government Record: No criminal record.
* History: Employee and inventor for New Dawn Corp. for the last 2 years.
* Marital Status: Single
* Power Source: Technological
* Powers: No super powers but pos-sesses natural technical genius and inventiveness. The "crab-bot" has high level resilience, strength and firepower. Cancer is not allowed to pilot the robot except remotely due to his age and many national and company laws though he frequently ignores such laws.
* Weaknesses: Outside of his armor, Gabriel is as vulnerable as any 13-year-old that engages in minimal regular exercise. If his armor has a weakness, it lies in the pilot's inexperience and sizable ego.
Background
The boy known as Cancer is in many ways vital to the team Zodiac. In his armor, he is a major source of firepower, strength and toughness to the group and outside of combat he is responsible for the equipment and technology that makes the team possible.

All of this would be great except that Cancer has the ego one would expect for a 13 year old male genius who has been running his own life for some time now. The only one that seems to be able to keep him in check is his grandmother who happens to be one of the New Dawn executives and Zodiac board members.

* Government Record: Registered mutant. no criminal record.
* History: Powers manifested in adolescence. Formerly self-employed at personally owned construction service company.
* Marital Status: single
* Power Source: Mutant
* Powers: In addition to being quite large for his species, Aries possesses super strength and resistance to injury. He can withstand most conventional arms fire and exposure to extremes of cold and heat that would injure most others. He is also immune to physical fatique and effects that cause fatigue. An interesting ability of Aries is that he continues to build speed and power as long as he is allowed to continue moving. This is different from most super-speedsters who simply increase in velocity. The limits of this power are unknown.
* Weaknesses: It is quite difficult to injure or stop Aries. However, he can be a little to direct in combat and is easily deceived or tricked at times as a result of his trusting nature and straightforward approach to problems.
Background
Aries developed his powers in adoles-cence and they come from the mutant gene that gives so many paranormals their abilities. He is incredibly strong and resistant to all forms of damage but he is also a gifted athlete in his own right as he was heavily into many sports before his powers manifested.Aries is probably the strongest member of the team and he is also probably the one with the largest heart. He is self-f-sacrificing, noble, caring and patriotic while at the same time being fairly humble. If he has a flaw, it is that he is too trusting.

* Weaknesses: It is quite difficult to injure or stop Aries. However, he can be a little to direct in combat and is easily deceived or tricked at times as a result of his trusting nature and straightforward approach to problems.
* Marital status: Single

Background: Since his powers developed at early adolescence, Kelly Holbrook attempted to fit into society instead of using his powers to help himself. This stifled his sports career as he pretended to be only good enough to play and enter school on a minor scholarship. After that, he worked several jobs such as bouncer, professional wrestler and finally he attempted to run his own construction company. When the government made it a requirement for all people with powers to register themselves, Kelly did so immediately and subsequently found himself ostrasized by customers and slandered by competitors. == Background ==

ZODIAC is an action and adventure comic book and webcomic that follows in the superhero genre, but uses anthropomorphic animals. It was created by John Mann AKA Eggplantman. It is updated weekly and the first 100 pages and main character description pages are available in print form.

Setting
The setting of Zodiac is a world similar to Earth in terms of technology and many familiar cultures seem to be present but it is not Earth. The planet (un-named at this point) is populated by many anthropomorphisized animal species covering the full range of vertebrates except for fish and marine mammals such as dolphins and whales. Actual animal life is also identical to Earth minus those species that are either anthropomorphisized or absent altogether (again, marine mammals). Generally, animal life consists of invertebrate species and some have been bred and domesticated to function as pets including large species of catepillar and spider.

The world has countries and disparate governments with the addition of large cities that seem to exist as entities unto themselves and are quite large with many sub-cities connected to them. The main setting is Alpha City though several characters come from other large cities each with a similar title such as Delta City for an example.

Story
As the millenium draws to a close and the next one begins, the emergence of super-powered individual is beginning to have a larger and larger influence. Some companies seek to protect themselves by forming their own teams of super-powered defenders. One such company is the mega-corporation known as New Dawn. They hire an enormous team of twelve supers through various means, base their theme around the Western Zodiac and put them in charge of defending the company and Alpha City itself. The comic so far follows the formation of the team and their first encounter with actual super-villains. Numerous off-shoot comics featuring the Zodiac after their formation have also been written.
