Drakkon:

General Knowledge
Drakkon is the name of a fur living in the Northern Virginia area. His primary fursona is a dragon. In the past he was involved with FurryMUCK, Furcadia, various smaller gaming MU*s, administrating a variety of games, usually WoD-related, online, and World of Warcraft. He has attended Anthrocon, Pandaguy's Picnics, and various DC-Metro area functions.

Recently, Drakkon has been active playing WoW and GW2. He has several World of Warcraft characters, most of which are Tauren and Worgen, and is an active member of the predominant furry guilds on the Bloodhoof server, Legion (Alliance)/Order (Horde) of the Claws. Both are soon to be under new management, sadly, as the current Guild Master has quit playing the game.

He also runs a number of RPGs with friends, including a couple run online over email and IM services. He is always willing to accept new players, but has one requirement: respect the Game Master and your fellow players.

Drakkon's fursona is a large ebon-scaled drake with white glowing eyes, long obsidian horns, and a maw that glows from the fires that light in his belly. He is a powerful spellcaster, earning him the surname "Darkspell", a sage free with his wisdom, and champion of the oppressed, sometimes to their displeasure. He is also a skilled shapeshifter, and can sometimes be found in the form of a fox, a wolf, or even a snow leopard. Drakkon's other known fursonas include Jerodan Diogenes (a Red Fox), Tanrac Starsong (an otter), Shadowpaw (a black wolf), and Keltin Diogenes (an Arctic Fox).

Drakkon's human is a tech support engineer, well versed in Cisco routers, VoIP technology, and video game programming. Currently, he works as a Tech Support Agent for a major defense contractor. He has been mated to Rogal Ursus, a Kodiak Grizzly bear fur since 2011.

A Note on Drama
Though he has sometimes been part of the drama spectacles that plague the furry fandom in Northern Virginia, Drakkon is rarely the cause or instigator of these incidents. Because of his strong personality and often proud nature, he comes off as abrasive, and thus becomes the target of those seeking to make a name for themselves and/or join in on the trolling. He does not apologize for anything that he doesn't start, but has often admitted when he is actually in the wrong. With the politically charged atmosphere in the Northern Virginia area, drama is never far away, and Drakkon has come to accept this as part of his life. To those who know him better, however, there isn't much he won't do to help you out. He has commented several times about how people can live with each other for years and still not know anything about each other.

Blue Planet

Blue Planet is an RPG revolving around the world of Poseidon, a world that is 97% covered by water. Earth has sent a colony to Poseidon, but shortly thereafter suffered a world-wide famine that broke off contact with the colony world. Now, over half a century later, Earth has re-established contact with Poseidon, only to find that the colonists have had to adapt to a more rustic lifestyle, and most of the don't want anything to do with Earth.

Too bad.

Blue Planet plays on many different fronts, from Native (Poseidon born humans and cetaceans) vs Colonists (new humans and cetaceans from Earth), to Incorporate greed, to GEO (the Global Earth Organization, the military branch of the UN), and even involves the Russian Mob and other crime syndicates.

The game system itself is very easy to learn, and plays quite fast. The attributes are abstracted to statistical norms and standard deviations, making it both realistic, but fast paced and easy to add user-made content.

Normal game play involves humans, several human-based species (Spacers, Transhumans, and two Furry-ish races: the cat-like Cats, and the primate-like Silvas), and two cetacean races (Orcas and Bottlenose Dolphins). The Ancient Echoes supplement includes many more cetaceans species in it. Drakkon has created many actual furry races, and plans to update more for non-anthro Furrys to be made playable. He is currently working on an EXCEL Spreadsheet that will make creation of any type of character possible and easy. A link to it on his FA Account will be put here ( FA LINK ) once the spreadsheet is available for download.

Blue Planet is published by Biohazard Games, and distributed by Fantasy Flight Games ( http://www.fantaasyflightgames.com ), though a new deal is apparently in the works for a new publisher and/or distributor, so watch this space for updates.

Fireborn is a dual-time period RPG where the players play both a Dragon in the Mythical Age, and their human-born Scion in the Modern Age.

As a Dragon, they are powerful, ancient, and firmly in control of the world, much to the ire of many other races. Dragons are the guardians of humanity, for the most part, and seek to guide the fledgling race to adulthood with wisdom, patience and compassion. They are Karma incarnate, the living will of magic, possibility and creation. They are immortal. When they die, they are reborn a short time later and once reconnected with their horde, begin to remember their previous lives.

They are, in turn, opposed by Taint and its minions. Taint is decay, death, and destruction, and its minions seek to corrupt and destroy everything in the world. Taint promises vast power and immortality to those who serve it, things that dragons have already. But even a Dragon can be tempted, and many have fallen into madness and under the sway of Taint.

As Scions, your dragons have been born into the modern age, as humans. Once exposed to magic, now seeping back into the world thru a fissure in reality localized at the Tower of London, they begin to remember parts of their lives as Dragons, and eventually their fight against Taint. But Taint is here in the Modern Age as well. While magic was absent from the world, Karma and Taint could only influence humanity thru dreams, urges and suggestions. Now that magic returns, both Karma and Taint are at war again, each seeking to inspire humanity and dragonkind to greater heights and deeper depths than ever before. Will your Scions remember enough of their past to become the champions the world is about to desperately need? Will the human agents who know about Scions and Dragons, Magic and Taint, kill you before you can become a threat to their power?

Fireborn is published by Fantasy Flight Games ( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com ).
