I know you guys want the date that Jenner started working at Confurgence but seeing as he used to work at MiDFur I would assume that he just carried over along with a few others, though I cannot confirm this. Also that Jenner is very personal outside conventions so any information about them would be second hand through someone else. --Dave247 (talk) 22:10, 11 January 2017 (EST)

Jenner

2017-01-12T02:49:11Z

Dave247: /* Fandom involvement */ Reworded for past tense

Doctor Jenner (born 1961) is an Australian cartoonist who lives in Melbourne, and is a former member of Rowrbrazzle.

Jenner has been an Australian newspaper and magazine cartoonist for over twenty years, drawing professionally and non-professionally in both the Australian and US scene in the small amount of time outside his duties as a full-time doctor. He is currently working in a city general practice, and has adopted the anonymous pen name Jenner as an ethical courtesy. Although a daily strip on the Internet is four years old, his Doc Rat character has been appearing in medical and non-medical magazines for over a decade, including Bush Alert and vicdoc.

Fandom involvement
He created the webcomics Downunderground and Doc Rat, and contributed to The Everchanging Palace. He was a member of the APAs Rowrbrazzle and Huzzah. Jenner has released 9 full comic strip books, released his 10th in December at MiDFur 2012.

Jenner was inducted into the Furry Hall of Fame in 2010 along side Stan Sakai, Big Blue Fox and MiDFur Chairman CynWolfe, who he himself inducted.

Jenner was also a Board member for MiDFur, heading up the Guest Liaison department, and then ConFurgence for Guest Relations.when

Nova Dimitryi Halvern

2017-01-11T15:51:15Z

Dave247: Added brief Confurgence history

Nova Dimitryi Halvern, also known as n0va, k9pilot, k9pilot85, and Nova Dingo (born December 17), is a furry who was born and raised in Ingham in North Queensland, Australia. He is an occasional writer of "strange stories with unbearable amounts of romance".

Nova's fursona is a black dingo with kitsune heritage. He is usually hidden behind his darkened glasses, his three tails only wagging at the rarest of times. With an Australian upbringing, a Russian name, and a fluency in French vocals, this hybrid is a paradox wrapped in a enigma with tails.

History
Having been in the furry fandom since around 2000, Nova's roots actually lie within the anthro Pokemon community. After finding his furry side, he spent many years on Furcadia but later moved away from the social aspect, remaining in the shadows collecting many pieces of canine artwork.

MidFur 12
Nova's first furry convention was MiDFur 12 in 2010, where he worked as a volunteer. Intending to take two eight-hour shifts, he ended up covering three days days from 9AM to past midnight, handling Con Logistics and marshalling fursuiters.

The most expensive item in MiDFur 12's charity auction (and to date the most expensive non-legacy piece sold) was won by Nova. $A670 was donated to the Lost Dogs Home for Caroo's “Villans of MidFur X11” colour original.

ConFurgence
Nova now spends his time managing logistics for ConFurgence.

The Furry Hall of Fame was conceived by CynWolfe in 2008, and its first induction was held that year at MiDFur X. While the Hall has a worldwide reach, and is not intended to be event-specific, its induction ceremony has been organized by AUSFA/AFC and was hosted by MiDFur each year through 2012, but there is no indication so far if it will continue with ConFurgence.

ConFurgence, formerly MiDFur (Melbourne in December Fur Meet), is an furry convention that has been held annually since 1999 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

History
In late 2012, It was announced that ConFurgence would for the most part, replace MiDFur,cn with the original name being handed back to the community for future use.clarify

The change was needed due to the growth of the convention, with room running out at the Arrow on Swanston and others being cost prohibitive, and because December is an inconvenience, with university exams falling in that month. Also, changing the month made the name effectively obsolete.<ref>http://www.flayrah.com/4488/melbournes-midfur-change-name-dates-venue Melbourne's MiDFur to change name, dates and venue] article on Flayrah.
