* While I'm not party to firsthand claims of such, various other people have heard about and posted about how two women (supposedly lesbians who refuse to play around with men, save for Herbie Bearclaw) are the basis for the MLG, and every post on messageboards that I've seen that are credited to the MLG are always written as if two people are sitting behind the computer (using pronouns like "we", "us").
Herbie Bearclaw is not the Herbie associated with the MLG.

The Herbie associated with the MLG goes by the nickname of FurryFelon. "Herbie Bear" is a "cutesy" nickname the girls use for him, as Herb is his real name. Every con badge I've ever seen him wear though, has had FurryFelon on it.

Myself and Cigarskunk make a yearly road trip from the PA area, out to memphis TN, for MFM. Cigarskunk and Herb share a room every year, and on occassion I've crashed in their room as well.

As for the MLG, I have never met them in person. Herb has a framed photograph of an attractive, nude blonde woman, which he brings to the convention and keeps on his bedside table, who appears to be a real-life likness of Charlene, the blonde MLG, and who he identifies as such. On occassion he has also received/made phone calls which were purported to be to/from them, there in the hotel room.

I have every reason to believe that they do exist, as I see no reason for Herb to playing a ruse upon me. However, I have not actually had contact with them apart from email.
"Citation Needed" and the Controversy section
Because of the nature of imageboards such as Sidechan, fChan, and Lulz, it's virtually impossible to have any sort of real citation stay up for an extended length of time. Thus, it may be wise to note this in the actual article.

Tidied
To expand on my edit summary: I've shuffled some things around for better flow (at least in my opinion; others can always disagree). I've moved the appearance section back up and put it into pargraph form rather than bullet points, which is easier to read and does not interrupt the flow. I've restored some direct quotes rather than paraphrasing; there's no need to paraphrase unless the source is really incomprehensible or chopped up for relevant bits, and direct quotations are especially important when the source is difficult to access. I've also futzed with the reference. The Yahoo! Group is named MouseyLoveGirls, and we're not pressed for space, so there's no reason to call it MLG. -- Sine 19:27, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

COBALT is a comic book series published by Furnation Multimedia, featuring Chris Sutor's furry alter-ego, Cobalt.

While primarily an adults-only erotic title, the writing is comedic, and the overall effect is more humorous than anything.

The artwork inside is a mixture of 2D and line-rendered 3D, and although the artwork for the books was produced in full color, the first three issues were originally printed in greyscale. Begninning with issue four, the book switched to full color.

The characters which have appeared so far include:

*Cobalt
*Twinkle the Foozle
*Talboc, Cobalt's Evil Twin
*Cinamon Bun, a crossdressing rabbit television salesman
*Licorice, a crossdressing wolf television repairman

History
The Cobalt comic is somewhat of a spin-off, from a series of 2-page comics known as the Evil Twin Strips, wherein Cobalt meets, and seduces his evil twin, rather than get into a fist-swinging battle with him. The first of these introduced Talboc, and the second was writen as a "sequel" parody.

A third installment was requested by the publishers of Furnation Magazine, but Real-Life interruptions kept this third comic from being completed, and only a single page of it was ever done.

When Furnation approached Chris Sutor about possibly doing a comic book for them, The script for this "lost" third episode was ressurected, and expanded into the 40-page tale of erotic vengance, which fills the first two issues.

The four Evil Twin pages which started the whole thing, appear as flashback sequences in Issue Two.

Chris Sutor is a furry artist from the east coast of the United States, who has been in the fandom since 1989.

Chris had always been interested in growing up to be a cartoonist, and having watched funny animals on TV every day, it was only natural that when he finally started putting pencil to paper, he would try to create the sorts of characters that he himself had enjoyed.

His two earliest furry characters were Alpha and Centauri, a pair of spacegoing pandas who he created sometime between 1979 and 1982. He would go on from there to fill binder after binder with original furry artwork, when he really should have been paying attention in class.

Chris' first brush with furry fandom was at Balticon 23, thanks to a Furry party poster hung inside an elevator. He had gone to help set up computers in the convention's computer room, and spied the poster while lugging equipment. At the party he purchased a large collection of comics and furry art magazines, and became instantly addicted.

During the 1990's, he contributed artwork to a number of small press zines, including FurVersion, and Bestiary, and regularly attended furry parties held during Philcon at the now-demolished Adam's Mark Hotel in Philadelphia.

Cobalt is the alter-ego of furry artist Chris Sutor. He is a four-foot, grey furred teddybear whose trademark is a silver hoop "tiara" with a five-pointed star on the front. He habitually wears blue-colored clothing.

Cobalt's Species is given as Delos, as this is the name of his race, but to all intents and purposes he is a teddybear.

Character history
Much of Cobalt's history is shrouded in secrecy. The most that is known, is that Cobalt is supposed to be "The Last of the Delos" - a title which has turned out to be in question since the appearance of his evil twin Talboc.

Much more isn't known, and Cobalt either doesn't know what happened, or simply isn't talking.

Current home
Cobalt lives in a three-story, futuristic "Skypad" which was manufactured by the FUTURO company. He shares this home with Twinkle the Foozle, a sometimes servant, sometimes lover, and sometimes comedic sidekick.

This three-story dwelling stands high in the sky, atop a pole, overlooking the capital city of the planet Iopa. Its interior decor seems to be a mix of 40's deco, 50's retro, 60's pop, and 70's plastic fantastic, including several Ball chairs.

Cobalt online
Cobalt was originally created as an alter-ego for Chris Sutor, on FurryMUCK. More recently, Cobalt has popped up on Second Life.

On Second Life, he goes by the name of Cobalt Neutra, as Second Life requires you to select a last name from a list of choices, and does not allow single-name characters. Neutra was the name chosen from the list as it was also the name of a character in the mythos of 80's pop band DEVO.

Cobalt almost became Cobalt McCoy, in reference to Doctor Who #7, Sylvester McCoy, but Chris Sutor's first attempt to sign up to Second Life was unsuccessful, and upon his second attempt, the list of provided names had changed.

The Neutra surname is unofficial, and outside of Second Life, the character is known only as Cobalt.

On SecondLife, Cobalt's activities include:

* Acting as an admin and estate manager, for the Furnation Sims
* Maintaining/Operating the Furnation municipal nude beach
* Maintaining/Operating Club Fur
* Maintaining/Operating The Radio Theatre
* Creating and selling vintage-style hod rods, at his garage, Cobalt Motors.

Cobalt in art
Cobalt appears in a comic of the same title, published by Furnation Multimedia. He also appears on CD-ROM artwork sets, which feature the artwork of Chris Sutor:

* COBALT - Live from a basement, near you
* COBALT - The Wild Blue Yonder
* COBALT - Club Fur

Although originally conceived as a 2-D cartoon, Cobalt has been translated into 3D through the wonder of computer modeling.

The 3D Cobalt has appeared in a number of images, a few short animations, and is currently being used as pose/anatomy/perspective reference, for drawing the 2D version.

COBALT is a comic book series published by Furnation Multimedia, featuring Chris Sutor's furry alter-ego, Cobalt.

While primarily an adults-only erotic title, the writing is comedic, and the overall effect is more humorous than anything.

The artwork inside is a mixture of 2D and line-rendered 3D, and although the artwork for the books was produced in full color, so far they have only been printed in greyscale.

Characters
The characters which have appeared so far include:

*Cobalt
*Twinkle the Foozle
*Talboc, Cobalt's Evil Twin
*Pleasure Foozle, Twinkle's not quite evil, not quite twin.

Cobalt appears in a comic of the same title, published by Furnation Multimedia. He also appears on CD-ROM artwork sets, which feature the artwork of Chris Sutor:
* COBALT - The Wild Blue Yonder
* COBALT - Club Fur

Cobalt is the alter-ego of furry Artist Chris Sutor. He is a four-foot, grey furred teddybear whose trademark is a silver hoop "tiara" with a five-pointed star on the front, and who habitually wears blue-colored clothing.

Cobalt's Species is given as Delos, as this is the name of his race, but to all intents and purposes he is a teddybear.

Much of Cobalt's history is shrouded in secrecy. The most that is known, is that Cobalt is supposed to be "The Last of the Delos" - a title which has turned out to be in question since the appearance of his evil twin, Talboc.
It's interior decor seems to be a mix of 40's deco, 50's retro, 60's pop, and 70's plastic fantastic, including several Ball chairs.
Cobalt was originally created as an alter-ego for Furry Artist Chris Sutor, on the old text-based internet dungeon FurryMUCK. More recently, Cobalt has popped up on the 3D internet system SecondLife.

On Secondlife, he goes by the name of Cobalt Neutra, as SecondLife requires you to select a last name from a list of choices, and does not allow single-name characters. Neutra was the name chosen from the list as it was also the name of a character in the mythos of 80's pop band DEVO.

Cobalt almost became Cobalt McCoy, in refrence to Doctor Who #7, Sylvester McCoy, but his first attempt to sign up to SecondLife was unsuccessful, and upon his second attempt, the list of provided names had changed.

The Neutra surname is unofficial, and outside of SecondLife, he is known only as Cobalt.
