Psyware (also known as Psychix) is a musician, sound designer, and game developer in the furry fandom. Based out of Oklahoma, he released his debut album on January 6th, 2019, titled Blind. This was under the original Psychix name, before the Psyware rebrand around 2020 or so. While all other digital music distributors correctly list the album artist as Psychix, his Bandcamp page was manually changed to reflect the new alias, and thus the album artist was altered as well.

After abandoning the Psychix name, Psyware would go on to compose orchestral pieces for games. These are posted on his Newgrounds, Soundcloud, and YouTube accounts respectively. Though, no new material has emerged on his Bandcamp since Blind's release.

Hi, Equivamp - I see you marked my page back in 2017 with {{[[Template:Update|Update]]}} and {{[[Template:Overly detailed|Overly detailed]]}}. I've been away quite a while, as you can tell since this is 4 years later... anyway, I have updated and I chopped out pretty much all the actual character info. I've removed the tags as well. == I am under attack online and need my wikifur page removed promptly. It's being used as ammo against me. ==
Hello. I am Charem, the one who https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Charem is written about.

This page is both severely outdated and severely unprofessional. Also, I'm currently under attack on other websites and this page and what's on it is being used as ammo against me further.

I made an edit removing most of the information and asking for page closure to immediately remove this legitimate problem, but a staff member reverted the page back to how it was before and insisted I contact a creator. So here I am.

I would appreciate my page simply being blanked/closed for the time being, until I can update it more thoroughly. I really hope this request can be responded-to quickly. Thank you.

If my identity needs to be proven, please contact me at any of my known contacts and I can verify this request.

==Proposed 'spammer' tag for informal patrollers to use==
I've noticed a fair number of spam articles of late so I've created a template to mark them as such, since I am not an admin (nor do I wish to become one! :D). My thought is that this gives other editors a way to quickly mark a spam article / spamming user for curators to take a look at if deletion and/or blocking is needed. The template is <nowiki>{{</nowiki>[[Template:Spammer|Spammer]]<nowiki>}}</nowiki>. I'm putting this suggestion to each of the curators; I hope this is a useful tool. If not, feel free to delete it. [[GingerM]] ([[User_talk:GingerM|Leave me a message]]) 19:26, 16 July 2021 (EDT)

Hello,

I am CEO of PhoxWorx Ltd. Co. the Intellectual Property owner of WereScape.
I have noticed a couple of inaccuracies posted by other users as well as a false claim to ownership by Vtwolf82.
We are now policing the article monitoring it's edit but would prefer for the entire article to be removed from WikiFur.

https://werescape.online/wikifur.html I have prepared a statement to that degree on the projects website to help with the verification process.
You can click the link at the bottom page of the website to get back to PhoxWorx main website to further establish ownership.

If you or someone else could remove [[WereScape]] that would be greatly appreciated.
If it weren't for the fact that ANYONE including anonymous website visitors to WikiFur can edit the page then we would have considered not making such a request, but this along with the fact anyone can view history of the article seeing the incorrect information is the reasoning behind this request since the only way to make sure the accuracy of the information is to just remove it entirely. {{Unsigned|Phoxman1982|17:42, 8 September 2023}}

== Page Deletion Please! ==

Hiya, sorry to bother but I made a Wikifur page for myself years and years ago as a drunken dare, I'm now a lot older, have recently had a child and am no longer active in the community - would it be possible to have the page deleted?

It's this one; https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/KriticalError

Its just I still use the online name for things like long standing personal accounts on social media sites and I don't really want people being able to find pictures or info about my child through them, or for my child when they're older to find their way into some of my more not child safe artwork etc.

The page also contains some personal info that was included out of incredible stupidity.

Thanks in advance for taking time out of your day to read this, and happy holidays!

Accidental double post, apologies!

Hi there.

I made my page years ago and came to find it on google just recently. It's got a lot of personal information that i'd just like to not be there anymore, and the artwork on the page is so old I dont even have it anymore. Also the Basingstoke Furmeets is not something I run anymore so it gives false information. I'd like it all deleted please.

== FeralHeart Page Needs Updated ==

It has come to my attention that the page for the animal MMORPG FeralHeart is very outdated and is currently locked against edits. The staff list is incorrect, the map list is incorrect, and the history is incomplete. Therefore, the current page for this game is presenting information which misrepresents the game. And as one of the individuals currently developing the game, I am inclined to ask that either the page be unlocked so it can be updated in order to accurately reflect the game since it is in fact still online and being actively developed. Feel free to reach out to me if you need confirmation that this information is accurate.{{Unsigned|DylanCheetah}}

== Requesting page removal but not exclusion ==

Hey, I wrote an [[https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Cloudskater|a page about myself]] a while ago and while nothing there is nothing on it that's harmful, I would prefer the page be removed from the site. I don't wish for exclusion, if someone wants to write a page about me in the future, they can, but it was kind of self centred of me to do so on my own, and I recall not even knowing how to describe myself when I was writing it. I just wanted a page for the sake of it.
Sorry for any trouble this causes, and for attempting to blank the page instead of going through the right channels for this proces.

'''Kyle McCarthy''', better known by his stage name as '''NIIC the Singing Dog''' or just '''NIIC''' (pronounced "nice"; born May 24, 1990), is a [[musician]], [[performer]], and [[producer]] who lives in [[W:Philadelphia, Pennsylvania|Philadelphia, Pennsylvania]], USA.

== Biography ==

Kyle McCarthy conceptualized NIIC the Singing Dog shortly after graduating in [[W:Musical composition|Music Composition]] from the [[W:University of the Arts (Philadelphia)|University of the Arts]] in [[W:Philadelphia, Pennsylvania|Philadelphia, Pennsylvania]] and moving up to New York City in 2013. Kyle currently operates NIIC the Singing Dog in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and tours as the Green, Singing Dog across the United States.

Kyle was a [[guest of honor]] at both [[FurryCon (New York)]] and FangCon in 2014 as well as [[Fur-Xoticon]] in 2016. He was also a guest of honor at [[Megaplex XVII]] in 2018.

== Character ==

Kyle's [[character]], '''NIIC''' is an [[anthropomorphic]] [[dog]] through which he performs and produces original indie dance-pop music. The green dog is a public figure in Philadelphia and a musical icon at festivals, anime conventions, furry conventions, and gamer conventions across the country.

A big green [[W:Akita_inu|akita inu]], the Singing Dog was first conceptualized in February 2013 by McCarthy. NIIC was inspired by a dog from Kyle's early childhood - a relative's [[W:husky|husky]] named '''Nicki''' whom Kyle briefly grew up with. The unconventional green color of the character was chosen to reflect his vibrantly energetic personality and was first mocked up by the [[anthro artist|anthropomorphic artist]] Casparr.{{clarify}} Kyle began the promotion of the green dog and its music within the [[furry fandom]] in March of 2013. In 2017, Kyle expanded NIIC the Singing Dog's performance audience across additional fandoms and quickly integrated him into the Philadelphia festival and music scene.

The Singing Dog is a revival of a previous anthropomorphic musical project Kyle had developed in Philadelphia, a [[W:Web series|web show]] [[puppet]] series called '''''Sebastian the Singing Cockroach''''' - a self-absorbed part-time [[artist]] and [[insect|cockroach]] that worked at a city coffee chain and frequently lamented about being under-appreciated by the rest of society. Upon discovering the hardships of operating puppets, musical scoring, and video editing as a one-man team, Kyle revived the project in 2013 upon discovering the furry fandom and tweaking Sebastian to a live-acting musical performance, i.e. NIIC the Singing Dog.

=== Design ===

NIIC the Singing Dog was first designed digitally by artist Casparr. The first consistent wardrobe of NIIC to appear in various pieces of [[art]]works was conceptualized by the Canadian artist [[Vallhund]], who was also responsible for creating NIIC's signature [[W:Logo|logo]] (the headphone paw prints frequently displayed with NIIC).{{cn}} The first [[mascot]] [[costume]] modeled after NIIC's final design was constructed by New York [[fursuit maker|crafters]] [[Blix Fox]] (head) and Faris Batwan (arms, [[paw]]s, and [[tail]]). NIIC's most current costume was crafted by Grimmkitty Productions (head) and Sassypup Creations (arms, [[paw]]s, and [[tail]]).

== Music ==

NIIC’s music style has evolved a lot over the years; his early work, Unleashed and NIIC the EP, the latter being released in 2013 and the former in 2014, mostly consist of a fusion of electro-pop and dance-pop, with catchy hooks and energetic vocals. The lyrics often focused on themes of romance and desire, hedonism, embracing your inner freak, partying, and living life to the fullest. After the release of his second album, Instinct, in late 2014, NIIC’s style changed considerably, even down to the voice, sounding deeper and more natural instead of NIIC’s previous more high-pitched and androgynous vocals seen in Unleashed and NIIC the EP. The lyrics shifted toward a grounded portrayal of everyday struggles, utilizing metaphorical storytelling that mirrored the complexities of life. Some tracks delved into introspective and abstract territory, offering listeners a glimpse into NIIC's contemplative side. That being said, some songs still remained more upbeat party-centric style of the Unleashed era. This dichotomy set the stage for Beast, NIIC’s third album, which builds upon the foundation laid by Instinct. The album doubles down on exploring profound metaphors and an overarching story, with a central theme revolving around escape, self-discovery, and the pursuit of self-worthiness. Musically, Beast takes on a more pronounced rock sound, interwoven with tribal influences.

NIIC's vocals are typically accompanied by energized and [[W:Syncopation|syncopated]] [[W:Synthesizer|synthetic]] [[W:Backing track|backing tracks]], dispersed with live instrumentation. Kyle produces all songs within [[W:Pro Tools|Pro Tools]] and mixes them through an [[W:Apogee Electronics|Apogee Quartet console]]. His microphone of choice is the [http://www.shure.com/americas/products/microphones/sm/sm7b-vocal-microphone dynamic Shure SM7b], and incorporates [[W:Virtual instrumentation|virtual instrumentation software]] into his tracks, such as [http://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/samplers/kontakt-5/ Kontakt], [http://www.soundsonline.com EastWest], [http://www.toontrack.com/product/superior-drummer-2/ Superior Drummer], [http://www.spectrasonics.net/products/trilian.php Trilian], and [http://www.spectrasonics.net/products/stylusrmx.php Stylus RMX].

=== Discography ===

On April 11th, 2013, Kyle released several "rough drafts" of songs that would appear in future albums, such as '''''NIIC the EP''''' and '''''Unleashed'''''. It was originally entitled '''''Paws to the Walls''''' but was never formally published as an official album. Two songs that were uploaded to SoFurry and FurAffinity around that time were never officially released in any capacity, those being "Bah Dee Oop! Thank you!" and "Thanks for Watching Me on F.A.!", both of which are now only available on SoFurry as NIIC's FurAffinity account has since been deactivated in early 2020.

It was not until July 2013 that Kyle released NIIC's first album (NIIC the EP), during the opening of [[Anthrocon 2013]]. NIIC the Singing Dog's first ''full-length album was released on Valentine's Day of 2014, titled ''Unleashed''. NIIC's second album, ''Instinct'', was debuted at [[Fangcon 2014]]. In 2016, "Beast" was released and toured throughout the United States. In 2017, NIIC released his first Christmas-themed album "Deck the Dogs", which included remakes of earlier Christmas singles "All I Want For Christmas Is a Boy" and "The List".

In addition, NIIC has also released cover tracks and song commissions that are not yet compiled into albums, but appear piecemeal on various media websites such as [[W:SoundCloud|SoundCloud]], [[YouTube]], [[W:Bandcamp|BandCamp]] and formerly [https://www.hypedsound.com HypedSound] and [[W:Grooveshark|Grooveshark]]. He also has his website [http://www.niicmusic.com/ NIICMusic] and accepts commissions [http://www.niicmusic.com/commission/ here].

In July 2018, he announced in a [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqC1oFsJKzs Q&A] on YouTube, that his next album, ''Escape the Humans'', was set for a late 2018 release, eventually being delayed. Despite frustration over delays and sporadic updates, NIIC promised more transparency in an update posted in January 2020. After a two-year absence, NIIC resurfaced in 2022 and resumed work on the album, providing Kickstarter updates and conducting backer-exclusive streams showcasing album progress. The album has yet to be released as of April, 2024.
