Fake real-life photos
In July 2010 it was revealed that Jessica Elwood had been posting pictures of herself online that appear to have been commissioned from a professional modeling studio. After the similarities between the pictures posted and pictures of another woman, known as "Camerella", were discovered, Jessica then admitted on her deviantART account that the images were in fact fake (as shown in the top screenshot). The journal in question, however, was deleted by either Jessica or the alleged hacker sometime before or during the alleged hacking.

Later, Camerella was notified on Twitter of what had happened, and posted on Facebook (shown in the middle screenshot) that they did not in fact know Jessica Elwood. Camerella mentioned that her studio was commissioned by an individual to take the photos with the sketchbooks, and that she saw a "JE" on some of the documentation involved in the commissions.

Later, Camerella created a "thank you" video for /b/, the notorious forum on 4chan, and the suspect group of the alleged hacking.

July 2010 hacking
On July 9th, at or around 3 PM EST, Jessica's DA account was apparently hacked. The alleged hackers proceeded to post guro images of self mutilation, several references to suicide, and mock motivational posters. All of these (guro images, references to suicide, and "demotivators") are popular memes on the /b/ 4chan forum. The alleged user (Or possibly JE herself) then mass-stored her artwork, changed her DA status to "Dirty Beaner", and the account was later banned for the content.

The suspect motive for the hacking appears to be in response to the journal (see attached photo) in which Jessica admits to passing pictures of Camerella off as those of her own (see "Fake real-life photos," above). In the journal, the alleged hacker recites the motto for Anonymous and states a variant of the "Yiff in hell, Furfags" meme, leading many to believe that 4chan's /b/ is the origin of the culprit.

However, in the Jessica Elwood article on the troll/parody wiki, Encyclopedia Dramatica, it is pointed out that the "Never forgive, never forget" part of the meme was inverted. This is cited as proof that it could not be a true 4chan user, as it would be improbable for anyone from 4chan to make a mistake in its recital. It is also pointed out that the shock imagery used was found by using the first few pictures found while searching on Google.

4chan has denied responsibility for the attack, though the possibility of a rogue attack from a 4chan user remains. In addition, A post 2 weeks before on 4chan's /tg/ gaming board claims that Jessica Elwood was hosting a "raid" of /tg/, apparently in order to increase the furry presence on the forum. This, however, comes with no evidence to support the claim. It is unknown if this was a coincidence or if this had something to do with the events of July 9th. Finally, Camerella specifically thanks 4chan and /b/ in a video she posted to her website for "taking care of that Elwood faker," although this was confusion on her part.

Jessica's Fur Affinity page is still online and untouched, although many otherwise empty accounts were posting shouts on it's open chat board and replying to Jessica's journals. One theory is that her FA account has a different password and the hackers were not able to break into it. Another theory is that there was no "apology" needed, as the fake photos were posted to DA, not FA, and thus there was no need to "cover up" anything. The fact that most users would know her from both sites damages this theory somewhat, however.

As of early morning, July 14th, 2010, the FA administration has posted a notice on her FurAffinity account that further comments and shouts will result in a ban. As of July 21st, Jessica Elwood has been banned on Fur Affinity.

Return
As of the morning of August 2nd, Jessica Elwood removed the "dirty beaner" byline on her account, the first verifiable activity since the account was unbanned. Around 4:45 PM, she posted a public apology for her actions, reaffirmed her claim that she was hacked, confirmed her name is Martha and that she lives in Mexico, and claimed some of the things that happened stemmed from self esteem issues. The journal immediately received several hundred replies, mostly supportive. At the same time, she posted 4 commissioned drawings with a comment on one of them stating that her archives would remain stored until she finishes the commission work.

Tardy Commission Work
Recent posts on the FurAffinity artist_beware section have accused Jessica Elwood of being extremely tardy in several of her commissions, in some cases in timeframes of almost two years.

IP Address
It has been confirmed by administrators on FA and a moderator on the JABcomix forum (cited respectively) that the DSL connection used to regularly access her main and forum accounts on FA were done so with an IP address tracing back to Mexico, and not to California where she initially claims to reside. This IP address has also been used to frequently access the user account of Kacey Wyandotte, indicating that the two accounts belong to the same person. Further investigation by moderators revealed the IP to also belongs to a person known as Martha Martinez due to her posts in another forum where the IP of the users is visible to the general public. This name also appears in the Paypal account used by Jessica Elwood for commission payments.

Furthermore...
She might has changed her name on both her account and PayPal account and other areas to make it seem as if she really is a girl. Still, real facts about her being a female are unknown. But more likely she isn't.
