:This article is about the convention. "Pawsome" is also a furspeech adaption of "awesome".
Pawsome is a furry convention which is held at the Bowden Hall Hotel in Gloucester, England. The most recent iteration is scheduled for October 1-October 5, 2026. Pawsome advertises the event as having a more liberal dress code than other UK furry conventions, and also differs by providing prospective attendees with one membership number, which is theirs to keep indefinitely.

Origins
Pawsome was created by directors Flux, VolkaPup and Neutron. The directors came from an experienced furry convention volunteering background with Flux (previously known as Rapido) having been the chairperson of RBW, Volka (previously known as Smirnoff) having been the chairperson of Scotiacon and Neutron being a well-known name in the Manchester con-ops scene.

Venue and attendance
Pawsome has exclusive use of Bowden Hall Hotel and its grounds, enabling privacy and safety for attendees. In 2024, the convention's first year, Pawsome reached the venue's maximum capacity of 228 attendees, having sold out all residential and non-residential tickets by the time registration closed.

Dress code
Pawsome allows non-fursuit animal costumes, such as pup play gear, to be worn openly in the convention space. Despite allowing these types of costumes to be worn, Pawsome is not described as a kink convention by its organisers, and policies on sexual conduct and nudity are comparable to the majority of mainstream furry conventions.

Mascots
In July 2024, Pawsome revealed five mascots, each symbolising a different part of the furry community. Name submissions were taken via social media and the winning selections were announced the following month. The mascots are:

*Vincent, a fursuited fox. Vincent represents fursuiters and the UK furry fandom as a whole.
*Cookie the raver horse, representative of ponyplay and leather gear, as well as the convention's nightlife.
*Skweek, a rubber skunk, representative of latex costumes and inflatable or pooltoy characters.
*Billy the little collie, representing babyfurs.
*Spot, a cheetah who wears puppy play gear.

Sponsors
Pawsome is a not-for-profit organisation which intends to run conventions annually. As a result, financial support and equipment have been provided by the convention's commercial partners.

2024
Pawsome 2024 was sponsored by ABUniverse, a company specialising in babyfur apparel, and fantasy sex toy manufacturer Weredog. Events were also ran in collaboration with Club Animalz, Kennel Klub, and RubberSocial.

2025
ABUniverse and Weredog returned to sponsor the convention for a second year.

Registration was opened at 9pm BST (UTC+1) on the 31st July 2008. It was the first ConFuzzled to offer an attendance only rate for those that lived locally or wished to stay in local hotels. The attendance only rate did not include food at the hostel and was limited to 51 places. Prices were £50 attending, £160 standard (including accommodation and food), and £200 sponsor. The standard and sponsor rates were cheaper than those in 2008. "Early Badgers" who registered and paid before the 2nd September 2008 got a £10 discount.

Events
Over 40 events were announced on 24th October 2008.

Following feedback from attendees, many popular events returned from 2008, in addition to extra gaming events, an anime talk, writing workshop and the Guest of Honour events, a cartoon workshop hosted by Tabbiefox and a talk on running a convention by Cheetah.

The PawPet Show
This year, the convention hosted the first UK PawPet Show, created, developed and performed by UK, a group formed out of members of ConFuzzled staff and talented attendees for the purposes of producing a show for ConFuzzled.

The show followed a similar format to Eurofurence’s LSD show in that it was a story based theatrical three act play with comedy, music and some drama, though the UK show focused on a more skit based comedy style and Pantomime.

The Great James Mountbatten-Windsor's Magnificent Zoological Extravaganza (or The Mancunian Play), was the title of the show and it told the story of four performers and their stage manager as they attempted to put on a variety show in what they soon discovered to be a haunted theatre.

The show featured custom built puppets for all of the main characters, guest starred FurbleFox, the ConFuzzled Convention Chairman, and also featured a brief cameo by Uncle Kage.

Guest of honour
ConFuzzled 2009 had two guests of honour.

Tabbiefox was announced as the first guest, having last year created the artwork for the convention's mascot: Brok the Badger.

Cheetah was announced as the second guest of honour
on the 11th of February. He provided inspiration and advice to the ConFuzzled Staff in helping to establish CF and it was felt fitting that he should be repaid for the help he provided.

ConFuzzled
ConFuzzled (sometimes shortened to CFz) is an annual United Kingdom furry convention.

Overview
Created to celebrate the genre of anthropomorphics and the furry fandom, ConFuzzled is maintained by ConFuzzled UK, which is registered as a private company limited by guarantee, no. 06185967 (incorporated 27 March 2007).

History
Planning for ConFuzzled started in 2005 after several people from the UK furry community became frustrated by a lack of prior organisation. This group decided to organise a furry convention, based upon their experience with furmeets. The convention has received help and advice from Chairo, Cheetah, Kiran Lightpaw, and Timduru.

Confirmation of the venue was announced on the website in February 2007; the same month, further details of the convention events were also announced, along with the unveiling of the website and logo. The ConFuzzled Forum and FAQ opened on May 12, 2007. ConFuzzled Focus, a magazine-style newsletter, started on 29 October 2007. FurbleFox was the chairman of the convention up until November 2009, when he officially announced his resignation. The remaining staff elected Matt Lion as the new chairman, with Dingotush as vice-chair.

The convention was initially held in the YHA Manchester, before moving to the Britannia Country House Hotel in 2010, where it remained till 2011. In 2012, it was announced that the convention was to move to the Barceló Hinckley Island Hotel (now the Leonardo Hotel) in Leicestershire, where it was held for two years. Starting in 2014, the convention is hosted at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole.

COVID-19 pandemic
Due to the pandemic, the convention was unable to take place physically in 2020 or 2021.

Guests of Honour
Since 2025, ConFuzzled has stopped having GoHs entirely, choosing only to have Community Guests only.

Mascots
ConFuzzled's mascots are Brok, a male badger with a top hat and an affinity for cookies; Mel, a female honey badger with a thirst for adventure and who wears a yellow raincoat; and Dylan, an introverted non-binary crocodile who wears blue boardshorts.. Brok was officially unveiled on June 20, 2007, as the convention mascot. He was designed by Josef "Tabbie" Zsapka. Mel and Dylan were unveiled at the conclusion of ConFuzzled 2022.

Programming and amenities
As well as many of the events found common to most furry conventions (Fursuit games and dance competitions, GoH and Charity events, etc), ConFuzzled runs several regular unique events each year (as events are run on an attendee-submitted basis, not all events are guaranteed to occur in every convention year; the following list is illustrative and reflects the convention in the mid-2020s).

* Pub Quiz: Formerly the WikiFur Pub Quiz, attendees form into teams of no more than eight people and answer questions provided by a host on an answer sheet. The questions often link to the theme of the convention but can also cover general knowledge, history, geography, music, and pop culture. Answer sheets are exchanged, and teams mark each other's answers.
* Frankensuits: Attendees are given basic supplies of fur offcuts, materials, cardboard, and other odds and ends; hot glue, sticky tape, and tagging guns, and given one hour to build (generally horrific and humorous) fursuits, with the winner for the 'best' suit sometimes given a prize. All the suits that are completed are then welcome to take part in the fursuit parade that immediately follows.
* MotorFurs: Car and bike enthusiast furries gather with their vehicles to show them off.
* Escape Games: Formerly run by 'Agent November' and a rotating cast of supporting 'Agents', now run by Azakir, Escape Game-type experiences at the Convention, usually with a new game each year.
* Directors' Sea Shanty Hour: The convention directors dress up in their best seafaring regalia and lead the crowd on performing popular sea shanties.
* Yard Sale: A special sale at the end of the convention in the Dealer's Den for convention events and Pawpet show props, signs, memorabilia, old stock, and other items from the convention that would otherwise have been thrown away. There is also a last chance to buy charity items or extra convention sponsorship items such as t-shirts. Profits for everything except for sponsorship items are given to the convention's charity.

Game shows
ConFuzzled features a large number of panels and stage shows that mimic or parody popular British game and panel shows.

* Jym's game show: Parodies of game shows and party games hosted by Jym. Despite being done on a very low budget, participants play for joke prizes while keeping accurate to the format of the original gameshow being imitated, complete with sound effects, music, and graphics on the stage screens. Versions have included Family Furtunes (a parody of Family Fortunes), Catchfurase (parodying Catchphrase), Jym's Saturday Night Travesty (variety show Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway), Wheel of Foxtune (Wheel of Fortune), and Jymgo! (bingo).
* GamesMaster: A version of the British television show GamesMaster, in which furries participate in head-to-head video game challenges to decide who is the games master.
* ConFuzzled Taskmaster: A version of the British television show Taskmaster. Five participants are given a series of comedic and often spurious tasks to complete, often requiring lateral thinking to achieve. These segments are pre-recorded and played back live during the show, wherein the eponymous Taskmaster will judge their efforts and reward points. Two tasks are performed live: The opening "prize task", where participants must bring in an item for the eventual winner to take home; and the "live task", which is performed on stage in front of the audience.
* Shadow Raccoon's Price is Right: A version of The Price is Right.
* Only Connect: A version of fiendishly difficult quiz show Only Connect. Featuring two teams of three furries each, each team must combine general knowledge, lateral thinking and pattern recognition to find the connections between seemingly unrelated clues.
* Furry Card: An improv-oriented game show in which four contestants must prove their furry knowledge and earn their Furry Card.
* The e621 Game Show: A quiz show with questions based on popular furry image board e621
* beeps' Spelling Bee-ps: A furry take on Guy Montgomery's Guy Mont-Spelling Bee

Moonlight Events
For the 2025 event, ConFuzzled introduced Moonlight Events, an events track featuring more adult-oriented events and meetups, including:

* Socials for pups and rubberfurs
* Informational lectures & workshops
* A "relaxed-dress-code" dance evening known as The Big Night, allowing attendees to wear less traditional outfits such as pup gear, latex or ABDL-associated clothing.

Retired events
Previous years featured several events that appeared every year. However, these are now discontinued.

* Sponsor Buffet: A special lunch for convention Sponsors with extra special or themed food catered by the venue. A musical and/or fursuit performance is often provided for entertainment.
* Banner Brawl: Presented at both ConFuzzled and Eurofurence, two teams of three male and three female artists are given a large shared canvas and provided randomly selected prompts by the hosts to create a scene without prior knowledge or being able to see the other team's canvas. The audience gets to choose the winning canvas, with an ongoing score kept from one convention to the next. Both canvases are placed in the Art Auction for charity.
* The Pawpets UK show: The Pawpets UK team's annual 90-minute stage show, written and performed exclusively for the convention. Not recommissioned for 2025.

Community Guests
ConFuzzled initially invited guests of honour, similarly to other conventions. In 2024, this changed to having one guest of honour and one community guest, with the latter role existing to uplift creators in the fandom who might otherwise not receive much recognition for their work.

Attendance
From an initial 136 attendees in 2008, ConFuzzled has grown rapidly such that, as of 2011, with an attendance of 499, it became the second-largest furry convention outside of the United States (second only to Eurofurence), currently at #6 of furcons outside of the US (May 2026).

The 2023 outing garnered so much interest that the convention was forced to close registration early,<ref>{{cite tweet |user=cfconvention |number=1639326470852968459 |title=ConFuzzled has reached capacity for all reg types, including attending-only & day tickets.
