Gryph is the real life alias of of JR Simpson, creator of a race of [[gryphon]] known as [[brute gryphon]]s - namely [[Gryph Sylvr]] and [[Bane Sylvr]]. Gryph himself is an [[Otherkin]] who specializes in [[gryphon]] [[roleplay]] or what he calls [[GRPG]] which takes place primarily in late-night Yahoo! conferences. He makes an excellent writer due to his intuitive belief that he is a gryphon in spirit and can relate to how they would look or act in a real world setting. He believes he is a guru of anything gryphonic or mythical in origin, hence the title "The Gryphon Lord" which turned out to be his first actual Yahoo! ID before it was hacked in the year 2001.

Although Gryph excels in story writing and roleplay, he is a very confident furry artist. His work can be found on several furry websites, including [[FurAffinity]], [[Yiffstar]] and [[Elfwood]].

Between the years 2001 and 2006, Gryph hosted a private [[GRPG]] forum named [[Gryphons of the Mist]] which holds over 1000 posts today. The forum could be viewed by anyone, but many players were discouraged from interrupting the RP without permission by an administrator.

Even though I was trying to keep the information simple and easy to find about myself, I '''was''' getting frustrated at someone editing the information behind me. :Hi Vosur, the "This person's stub requires improving" message can be removed by edited out the "person-stub" tag. That tag is routinely put at the end of short articles to encourage people to flesh them out a bit. (For example, you might say a say words about how you discovered furry fandom, what part of the fandom you are involved in (art? costuming? gaming?), what species your fursona is if you have one, stuff like that.) You can remove the tag just by removing it in the article's edit window.

Hoping you can help.

Myself and [[Hendikins]] have been attempting to upload three photos this evening for the [[Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras]] page but on completion of the upload we keep getting "Error creating thumbnail: Unable to create destination directory" in place of the image.

Any idea what we might be doing wrong?

:Hmmm, I too seem to be getting that error message, so I don't think you're doing anything wrong. It must be a technical problem somewhere. Kuma-Chans first and main series, Series 1 was pretty much the first writing he'd done since Secondary school and mainly was done as he was sick of all the "Once upon a time, 2 furs met, had sex, the end" type stories that made up the majority of furry writing back then, Kumas a HUGE fan of ongoing episodic animated series, particually the ones by BRB international www.brb.es [Dogtanian, Around the World with Willy Fog, Sandokan] so that was always the vibe he was looking for and how he *Saw* them in his head, a lot of music is mentioned throughout the series particually the German techno group SCOOTER [Before they went all Jumpstyle + Crap]too, so readers can kind of have a *Soundtrack*

Series one pretty much introduces the characters [And was originally going to be set in England but Kuma made up a seperate set of English charas so he wouldn't make American Readers feel to Alienated, although he later set Gruffs Gym in Surrey, England where he lives in real life and also included a Cornish Character which is where he was born complete with phonetic written accent]

The GotM forum allows any species of character to roleplay, but unless the character is of gryphon origin, the players inside the forum might make the outsider feel unwelcome and neglect any roleplay that would otherwise be welcomed in the forum. Gryphons of the Mist is a catchy name for a GRPG locale. Due to the fact that the forum is very old and contains mostly pornographic material, most fresh GRPG is done nightly in private conferences with no interruptions. In GRPG, most races of furs are welcomed but unless they are of gryphon origin they might not feel welcome.

Brute gryphons are a strong, durable breed of gryphon thought to be originated from the very first breed of gryphon forged by the gods. It is for this reason that the brute gryphon bloodline cannot die from natural causes, although they still age. In their prime, a brute gryphon can go thousands of years without appearing much older.

Brutes gryphons are uniquely identified from normal gryphons because of their size difference, which allows them to tower over normal gryphons.

They are also the only known species of gryphon containing a beak filled with razor sharp teeth. These teeth resemble snake fangs but there are more than sixty of them in an adult brute's mouth. Like snake fangs, they can be hidden inside the recesses of the maw. Unlike snake fangs, they do not fold in, but rather are pushed in/out through the use of a complex hydrolics system inside the beak.

High Tail Hall began its existence as a discussion on the [[Yiffstar]] messageboards. [[Crowchild]], the creator of Pendragon Entertainment, announced he would be making a flash akin to [[The Tail Underground]], seeing as updates to it were sporadic at best. This announcement included a statement that people who wished to be in the animation need only ask. Some time after the announcement, the finished product, version 1.5, was released.

High Tail Hall has a bar with an outside balcony on the main floor, private rooms on the second floor, a dance floor and bar downstairs off the ground floor. There is also a secret entryway on the second floor, a hidden envelope containing erotic art and a codeword, and another hidden place to enter the codeword. In Version 1.7 the player has the option of going outside.

==High Tail Hall 1.7==

Version 1.7 offered the opportunity to add your own character/[[fursona]] to the game engine for a fee. Unfortunately, a fire broke out in the Pendragon Entertainment studio, destroying the computer with all the commissions on it, killing the studio's cat, and causing thousands of dollars worth of damage to the building. All Pendragon Entertainment projects were suspended, but full refunds were given to everyone who commissioned a character. The improvements that were being added to version 1.7 were:

*A redesigned Tanya Winters.
*The ability to venture outside the pub, where one could find a non-working [[Wikipedia:Stargate_(device)|Stargate]], and a hidden spot with an orcish character and satyr.

==High Tail Hall 2.0==
As of March 6th, 2008, Crowchild, the author of High Tail Hall has released High Tail Hall 2 on his website: www.hthstudios.com. The game is updated as frequently as possible with the recent addition of Rio from the demo and Ginger. Rio is the only character to have voice work at the moment. Other areas of the game can be seen from the map but are currently off line until the author releases them in the future. Currently the character can only go into the glass room. Several additional characters have been added including Bella(White Bear), a female Egyptian style dog and a male dinosaur at the bar. Also there is a female parrot outside the complex at the loading zone. However there is no accessibility or interaction with any of these characters. The parrot inside the Glassroom has changed appearances slightly and the text on it has changed from "look closer" to "Look Harder! HAHAHA" which probably means there is something you have to click on that is hidden somewhere in the back ground.

==Twilight Cavern==

A fan created spinoff of the original High Tail Hall is on the works, being designed by an artist by the name [[Jack Salem]], which will consist of established and new characters and locations. It has been announced that there will be approximately 12 female characters, and 6 different places to explore, as well as an in-depth plot.{{fact}}

As far as male characters, only one has been announced, and recently it was also announced that this version of the game is focused around heterosexual relations only. There will be a music score, mostly jazz tracks, written by Jack himself. This project was announced in 2006, with the only releases so far being images of characters and as of Christmas Day 2006, a Beta Preview with animation.{{fact}}

Upon the creator of Twilight Cavern hearing that the original High Tail Hall has come back into creation, the Twilight Cavern project has been announced to be a separate endeavor. Jack has stated that Twilight Cavern will be made, but it will no longer have any ties to High Tail Hall, save for any appearing special characters, such as [[Luca Shoal]].{{fact}}

Jack has stated that he is indeed working on the project to the message-board Yiffstar, where the project was first announced.

The game currently has no set release date, and will be released onto [[Fur Affinity]] and Newgrounds.

Early versions of High Tail Hall prior to version 1.1 included an uncredited clip of [[Wikipedia:Depeche Mode|Depeche Mode]]'s song "Personal Jesus." This clip was removed from 1.2 on.

Some people believe that High Tail Hall was inspired by [[The Tail Underground]], and vice versa. In fact, both [[Ian R. Soulfox]] and Pendragon Entertainment created their animations independently, with High Tail Hall being made after Tail Underground. Ian has mentioned that he doesn't mind the existence of HTH, and that he enjoys its existence.
