Some hours ago I received an email purportedly from the article subject's mother requesting the article be excluded. Because the article has been around for some years and covers a controversial individual, I would rather put this up to community consensus as well as make any attempt to verify the identity of the person who sent the email, if it is considered necessary to do so.

In my personal opinion, though, it's not the mother and the subject has a history of posing as other people online. No exclusion, let the facts stay as they stand. I've been emailed again, this time in "concerned citizen" style, although I highly doubt this person is who they claim to be.

Their posts removed with warning of being suspended if they continue posting about this person. The parents of this said person is seeking legal action on any furs for the serious allegations of crime and stalking made by them. My friend said after doing a criminal history check on her. They are scared shitless of being sued. I’ve been aware for years of your page on the said person. Claims that are being said are serious allegations, and they are indeed false claims by this background check. I saw the part where she contacted you with a notice to remove the page. I won’t be laughing at it if I was you! You and others are looking at very serious problem on your hands. I was told there is a Bay Area fur that was arrested with the charges of stalking and attempted murder /rundown of this person. Also. I'm not sure if this true. It's being rumored that she and Kylen Miles are friends now!

Reasons to be suspicious:
* The tone of the writing and inclusion of somewhat irrelevant details that only serve to make the subject sound better.
* A couple of minutes of googling told me that, unless you're a DoJ approved organisation, you can't look up criminal history records for other people in the State of California.
* I question why a person would have an entry in a criminal records database in the first place if there is no criminal history there. This could just be my personal ignorance of how American law enforcement works, however.
* Looking at Google Maps, the address given in the criminal record resolves to a public gardens. It is also different to the address given in a previous email I received in July.

::Honestly, by now shouldn't this cycle of crazyness be part of the article? This is the exact same behavior that was documented for years, and at least in the case of the first few 'Cease and Desist' orders (I put that in quotes because they barely qualified as anything, much less that) it's pretty clear that with all the errors and misspellings that Kim somehow had a hand in the writing/sending of them.

::Oh, I nearly forgot - as for Officer/Investigator Tarasco: Right after I did the cleanup/revamp of this article I actually got the same email from Kim - I got several, actually, one of which threatened that she had taken out papers on me with her local police department. So I not only wrote the good officer an e-mail after tracking him down online, but called the department. They had absolutely no record regarding any paperwork including my name, at all. Not a day after I made the above comment/reply, a sheriff showed up at my home saying that an individual called his department claiming to be "Barbara Keister", saying that not only had I been making excessive harassing phonecalls to Kimberleigh, but that she had seemingly tried to kill herself just that morning over it. He was very pleased to hear all about her antics, as well as to see the archives of emails that Mrs. Keister has sent just to myself alone. I also told him about how I suspected that this was triggered by my own call to the officer she claimed was in charge of the case in her hometown, and he has that officer's contact information and is going to follow up with Officer Tarasco and forward all the documents to him. I'm not going to say much else about this publicly, since I don't really feel like it's appropriate to make this a witch hunt and it's looking like at this point it is going to be in the hands of the law - but if any of you find that you're getting emails that seem suspiciously like they're from Kim, please don't hesitate to contact me privately. You know, if Banrai cannot prove that she drew several pictures of Mix, then why include that in the article? Why not just say "Banrai allegedly drew several drawings of Mix, while Mix currently claims that she only drew one"? Has anybody ever seen the pictures and verified that Mix received them? Not that I believe Mix's side of the story without any reservations, but Banrai has lied before just as Mix has lied before, so why either of them should be trustworthy enough to put their side of the story as if it were correct and not simply a side to the story baffles me.

There does also appear to be a drama Banrai created reguarding Ridayah. Ridayah is a genuinely kind soul and has been slandered and libeled by Banrai. She claims that he intended to 'texturbate' her but I know he had no intention of doing this. I know that for a fact. Could someone, preferably Ridayah himself, or one of his close friends, be allowed to add that to the Controversy section?

:: Hi there, random anon person. I'm Banrai, aka Andrea. I see that you posted this some time ago, but I'd like to address this personally and dispel this... whatever it is. Mrs. Keister currently has a restraining order issued and is not supposed to be in any contact with me, with instructions included on order of the State of North Carolina to have no contact via the internet, websites, email, IM, or other electronic communication or otherwise. This was issued on March 17, 2014 and is file/reference number is #14 CVD 76 at the McDowell County, NC courthouse. As indicated on the form, Mrs Keister has been found to have been sending threatening emails, creating websites posting personal information including address, photos of home, etc, and has also sent harassing emails to place of work. There are also multiple police reports on file and the McDowell County NC Sheriffs office have printed and digital copies of all prior communication, websites, etc that Mrs. Keister has produced, including her IP addresses. There are some pretty serious accusations in this article that have no evidence backing them up. Let me count the ways:

As a former PoE lurker back in the day, I can attest that most of their "reporting" turns out accurate from their once-insatiable curiosity (as opposed to other website's slanderous positions). I had several conversations with Keister in 2001-2002 over ICQ. I can attest that she most definently was not above manipulating her friends to get her way. She also was very bad when it came to typing......almost as if she was only learning the English language. However, I should also point out something important, which is Kylen Miles. Kylen Miles was NOT a nice person. She was a manipulative queen-bee whose ego more than outsized her actual (though undeniable) talent.

Looking at the history of the main page, there's vandalism from 71.116.85.0/24 and 71.116.86.0/24 going all the way back to Janurary. Since there's only one page being vandalized, we'd have less of a case of going to the ISP, assuming that it really is Kimberleigh who is doing the vandalism.

I've been emailed again, this time in "concerned citizen" style, although I highly doubt this person is who they claim to be.

Reasons to be suspicious:
* The tone of the writing and inclusion of somewhat irrelevant details that only serve to make the subject sound better.
* A couple of minutes of googling told me that, unless you're a DoJ approved organisation, you can't look up criminal history records for other people in the State of California.
* I question why a person would have an entry in a criminal records database in the first place if there is no criminal history there. This could just be my personal ignorance of how American law enforcement works, however.
* Looking at Google Maps, the address given in the criminal record resolves to a public gardens. It is also different to the address given in a previous email I received in July.

This is the exact same behavior that was documented for years, and at least in the case of the first few 'Cease and Desist' orders (I put that in quotes because they barely qualified as anything, much less that) it's pretty clear that with all the errors and misspellings that Kim somehow had a hand in the writing/sending of them.

He is most known for his appearance in the flash animations [[High Tail Hall]] and [[The Penthouse]], as well as being a moderator and frequent poster on the [[SoFurry]] (previously Yiffstar) message-boards. Luca was once active in both [[Second Life]] and [[Tapestries]], but has since lost interest in both. He is however, active in the [[babyfur]] community, part of the [[postfurry]] community, and can be considered a goon, or a member of [http://forums.somethingawful.com/ ''Something Awful'']

Luca's kitsune magic includes an ability to change size, age, gender, and [[species]], other physical attributes (hair, [[fur]], etc.) and chemical make-up of his form (i.e., becoming [[Balloonie|latex]]). There are some traits he readily identifies with his character however.

The image to the left provides a good example of how Luca generally appears, in particular the fur patterns, colors, and various accessories. Not pictured is a collar, usually purple with blue, black, or steel tags. Luca can also appear in a wide variety of clothes (or lack thereof) as needed. Save for sombreros and propeller beanies. Jigglebone brain slugs are superior headwear.

== Conventions and Real Life ==

Luca's first furry [[convention]] was [[Anthrocon 2006]], and he has attended Anthrocon ever since. He has also attended other conventions, mostly non-furry and based in Ohio, such as [[Wikipedia:Ohayocon|Ohayocon]], and Mid-Ohio Comic Con. Luca is also a regular attendee of [[Western Pennsylvania Furry Weekend]] as of 2005 when he moved to Pittsburgh for school.

He has since returned to Central Ohio, where he grew up. He is working as a [[Wikipedia:Line cook|prep cook]] for a grocery chain, and is currently trying to save money to move out on his own.

He is an Eagle Scout, and holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Culinary Management. And is made of awesome :smug:.

'''Augenti''' is a male [[Saule]] [[Dragon]] character belonging to [[Banrai]]. Augenti was originally created as the 'Sun God' for Banrai's fantasy world, [[Astian]]. He is known as the 'Light Bearer' due to the fact that he carries the 'sun' on his head in the form of several ridges that glow on their ends. His godform is non-anthro.

As an anthro, Augenti is Banrai's 'male side'. She uses him in place of her main character, Banrai, when she feels a need for a more masculine and dominant approach to whatever she is doing, be it art, role playing, or writing. She expecially delights in putting Augenti into more intimite situations with her other characters, her favorite being [[Iseo]] the golden cat.

==Fursuit V1.0==

The game, while focused on a few main main plots, such as the conflict between the Horde and the Alliance and the demonic Burning Legion that wishes to eradicate all life, features several races and characters of [[furry]] interest. Two playable races feature [[anthropomorphic]] features: The Draenai and the [[Tauren]], who represent Alliance and Horde respectively. Hunters have the option to name their pet as they wish, and must feed the pet periodically in order to keep it "happy", increasing its damage. Shamans within the game hold a spiritual bond with wolves (especially the orcs), and players who choose to be the Shaman class acquire the spell Ghost Wolf, which, as the name implies, transforms the character into a spectral wolf until canceled, increasing their movement speed but limiting the actions the character can perform, almost exactly like travel form for Druids.

== History ==

The CarolinaFurs were started as the '''CarolinaFurs Yahoo Group''' in February 25 of 2000. The group is currently moderated, and membership requires approval. They later branched out onto [[LiveJournal]] in the community [[NC Furs]] in March of 2004. At the time of this writing, the community has roughly 100 members.

In February of 2007, a '''CarolinaFurs Google Group''' was created due to several members having issues with Yahoo. There is also a now mostly-defunct website located at [http://www.CarolinaFurs.org CarolinaFurs.org].

The largest contingent of members appear to be centered in the [[Wikipedia:Raleigh, North Carolina|Raleigh]] area of North Carolina, with a second focus in western North Carolina. However, there are members from areas throughout both North and South Carolina, as well as other states.

==Meets==
The CarolinaFurs have had numerous meets in the [[Wikipedia:Asheville, North Carolina|Asheville]], [[Wikipedia:Greensboro, North Carolina|Greensboro]], and Raleigh areas. The most current and frequent meets are now held in Asheville, NC on the second Saturday of each month. The meet includes lunch at [[Wikipedia:Cici's Pizza|Cici's Pizza]], and then bowling and hanging out.

==== MFM caravan ====

Every year since 2001, on the Thursday evening before [[Mephit Furmeet]] begins, a number of furs would gather in Asheville, NC and caravan across Tennessee. The caravan, started and lead by [[Rhudi]], would leave around midnight and travel all night long to arrive in Memphis at roughly 9AM, just in time for the group to try to check into their rooms. It seems that every year, the suite is just never ready until 3PM. That doesn't really matter as the meet itself does a good job of keeping everyone occupied.

Also, in 2001, when the meet moved to a larger hotel, Rhudi began reserving a large suite of connected rooms. This was primarily for his friends and quickly grew to be primarily for furs from the Carolinas. However, the offer extends to any fur able to pay the low cost, due to the amount of people in the suites. In 2006 the cost, per person, for the weekend room was $27. The number of furs included in the suite vary, and that number directly controls the number of connected rooms vs the likelihood of a wall-to-wall carpet of sleeping furs.

==== CarolinaFurs Sunday Night Room Party ====

A tradition started by [[Kasan]] in 2006 is the [[MFM]] CarolinaFurs Tiger Haven Benefit party. For the first party, many furs pooled available cash (core funding provided by [[Macabail]]) and went to the package store (some dressed in various amounts of [[fursuit]] parts), bought as much liquor and beer as they could afford, and then advertised the party around the convention.

Since the Saturday night party was mild in comparison to some other parties and there was a lot of alcohol left over, the group decided to throw another party on Sunday night for those staying through to Monday, which is when the official party has been designated.

After acquiring a bucket of what was dubbed "The Green Death", [[Banrai]] posted several signs around the con simply stating 'FREE BOOZE' with the room number. The party was so large that it actually absorbed the SubLevel03 party from the suite on an adjoining floor, and resulted in many hungover furs.

Thankfully some of the MFM staff were members of the group, and so things were kept mostly harmless throughout the night.

The CF benefit party returned to MFM in 2007, yielding a smaller donation contribution than the previous year, but still was successful.
