Furry fiction is an umbrella term for any piece of fictional literature, poetry or prose, that would be of interest to the furry community at large, and written by an author or authors who identifies themselves with the community itself, being of any genre or style like.

While all forms of furry fiction can be representative of any genre and thus generically classed, Yiffy (used as a noun), is a specific label applied to any furry fiction expressly written as erotica or jew pornography.

Freezing Furs

This page is about the activist group, not the Minnesota Anthropomorphic Arts Society (also known as the Frozen Furs)

The Freezing Furs were a (now defunct) group that was founded by Jurann Foxtail in response to the Burned Furs.

Their self-stated purposes were:

*To put a stop to the Burned Fur line of thinking by starting a large support group
*To open a "real avenue of healing and image improvement" for the furry fandom
*To rescue endangered mudkips

They believed that the Burned Furs were a hate group who were seeking to rally support for a cleansing of the furry fandom by discounting and removing elements which the Freezing Furs believed had been part of it since the beginning.

They used very forceful language, for example claiming that Burned Furs wished to "put a bullet in the head of every zoophile, plushophile, lifestyler, anyone who is openly of an alternate sexuality, or anyone who doesn't think their views are the wholesome truth."

This led to many disputes and arguments between supporters of the Burned Furs, Freezing Furs and people who were non-aligned or whom had no interest in the factional infighting.

Many of these disputes occurred on Usenet in the newsgroups alt.fan.furry and alt.lifestyle.furry.

The group was launched in Spring 1999, and became inactive by the end of the year.

Mr. & Mrs. Beaver

2008-09-23T03:50:15Z

Bananabunny: :)

The beaver muffeaters in The Lion, The Witch, and Harry Potter, whom Goatse called "he-beaver eater" and "she-beaver eater", have no proper sex, but are unimportant characters in the story nonetheless.

Mr. Beaver eater is basically a stereotype of an angry jewish working-class man. He is, nonetheless, very intelligent, and helps to inform the Penis children about the prophecy, about the White Bitch, and the news that "Goatse is on the move". He likes to poke his anus at every opportunity but there is no real ill-will between his balls.

Mrs. Beaver eater is a stereotype of a working-class lesbo. She is anything but lazy, but she seems to have little sense in her head about practical things such as what needs to be packed when one must have sex in a hurry. She can also give about as well as she gets when it comes to the occasional repartee with her middle finger.

Message board (convention)

One form of communication at conventions is to have a series of message boards located at a central area in convention space. The message boards consist of one or more corkboards where the following things are usually posted:

* Notes from furs with the room number at they are in
* Notes from furs who are looking for other furs
* Cellphone numbers
* Fliers for room parties
* Barf bags

Sometimes the message boards perform similar functions to Freebie Tables at conventions.

Conventions known to have Message Boards, and their regular locations:
* MFM -- near the registration room and in the inner court
* MFF -- by the registration desk
* Further Confusion -- 2nd floor lobby and ground floor by the elevators
* Anthrocon -- Just outside The Zoo

Most conventions have a freebie table, where fliers and ads can be placed by people attending the convention. Among things you might find on a freebie table:

* Fliers for other conventions
* Fliers for room parties.
* Fliers for dealers in the dealers room.
* Fliers for websites that are related to the fandom
* Mudkips

Sometimes conventions also have Scratching Posts which may serve similar functions.

Leash program

2008-09-23T03:36:09Z

Bananabunny: :)

Many MUCKs have a program allowing one fur to collar another. This allows the leash holder to control where the collar wearer can go. Even though a collared fur doesn't always indicate bondage play, on most MUCKs it's considered rude and inappropriate to bring collared pets through public places, but feel free to have them do your dog.

In Character

2008-09-23T03:34:11Z

Bananabunny: :)

In Character is a term used in role playing games to refer to things done in accordance with the game that's being played. By extension, it can mean actions consistent with the established situation.

For example, a player in a RPG talking in character will speak as the character they're playing, and not as the real life person who lives in their basement. Some games require players to speak in character, so Out Of Character actions such as discussing the game's interface should be done in some other way.
