While searching for the lost Poke, Mika, Lionel and Lori meet Finlay, who has fortified a warehouse and hides from the vampire hunters. *For this show a special puppet was created by Xan and Tigerseye. She was played by two persons, Xan and Eisfuchs.
*Because of his move to the UK Fairlight wasn't able to make it to the show. Poke is missing in the story because of that. The panda was played by Eisfuchs.

Daiquiri is a female Transilvanian Wild Dog (Lycaon pictus transilvanus), also a Vampire. The name derives from the Daiquiri cocktail, because of her sugar-like ear-tips.

The Character was created by TaniDaReal in 2007/2008 and built as a fursuit by herself and Nightfox. The fursuit was presented first at Cologne Furdance Edition 2 in November 2008.

DoPE Show 4

2010-02-12T16:06:23Z

AtteBot: Robot-assisted disambiguation: Nightfox - Changed link(s) to Richard Nightfox

The fourth DoPE show called Ceška Paradisa was more of an experiment: additionally to telling a classic story there were games conducted on stage. The show took place in a tent because the place where Eurofurence 9 was held (a sports training camp) didn't have a big hall. The performance was disturbed massively by technical problems with the rented light and sound equipment.

__TOC__

Summary
Lionel, Lori und Poke are traveling to the Czech Republic during their vacation. To check in to the hotel they tried to use Lionel's credit card (he is the only one who has one). But Lori had drained it before by making phone calls to the USA. They get a room anyway (the broom closet) after promising to pay the rent by organizing an entertainment program for the rest of the guests. In the hotel the three heroes meet the tough snow leopard Mika, an old school friend of Lori's.

Trivia
*Since this show the crew calls itself DoPE.
*This was Mika's first appearance
*The performance had to be interrupted because of the broken receivers for the radio microphones and was restarted after half an hour. The microphones had been replaced with wired models. The puppeteers vented their upcoming frustrations by improvising the first couple of scenes, adding a déjà vu feel to the experience.
*The power connection in the tent was not properly grounded which resulted in live current on the light trussing
*Uncle Kage sarcastically called the technical desaster Czechnology.

DoPE Show 2

2010-02-12T16:06:13Z

AtteBot: Robot-assisted disambiguation: Nightfox - Changed link(s) to Richard Nightfox

The second DoPE show called Medieval Madness took place on Eurofurence 7. Instead of using the mobile pawpet stage a place behind the regular stage area was kept free, and a honed wooden beam was mounted between the light trussings as a playrail, the puppets' acting area. Due to the low ceiling of the hall the puppeteers needed to play on their knees or sitting on chairs.

__TOC__

Due to a mistake by Poke our heroes are transported back into the medieval times and have to survive a number of adventures to return to the present.

*this was the first show with a complete storyline
*Ye Mighty Ol' Plothole was an old hula hoop
*Concluding the events from the last year, Poke and Thalian got married after the show
*Originally another fursuiter was meant to play the role of the 21st Century Fox. However, during the last act of the show the puppeteers received the message, that he wouldn't be able to perform. So a replacement had to be found and prepared while the show was still running. Fjordwolf got a radio built into his suit to follow impromptu orders of the team. Unfortunately the earphones slipped from his ears when he stepped onto the stage and he didn't hear the director's commands anymore. Nonetheless, he did a great performance as if nothing had ever happened.
*Thalian did is role as Captain of the Guards without using a microphone. But still at times he was louder than the puppeteers using microphones.

DoPE

2010-02-12T16:04:19Z

AtteBot: Robot-assisted disambiguation: Nightfox - Changed link(s) to Richard Nightfox

DoPE (the Department of Pawpetry Entertainment), is the crew behind the pawpet show at Eurofurence. The show is also known as the LSD Show, as it was originally set at Lionel Scritchie's Dormitory. Despite the drug-refering puns of the acronyms, the only drugs involved in making the show are pure and utter nonsense along with a great love for puppetry.

History
The initiative for the show came from Fairlight, who took his lion pawpet to ConFurence 11 and met TeddyRuxpin of West, who was organizing the pawpet events at the convention. Fairlight immediately became addicted to puppeteering and organized a short music parody show for Eurofurence 6. Additional puppeteers on that show were Lynard, Eisfuchs and Jaryic. The LSD Show became one of the main events of the following Eurofurences.

Contributors
Since Eurofurence 8 the stories have been written by Cheetah and Eisfuchs. Cheetah is also the director and sound effect creator of the show. The head puppeteers are:
* Eisfuchs (performer and voice of Lori the naïve vixen)
* Fairlight (performer and voice of Poke the big-mouthed and perverse ferret)
* Lynard (voice and performer of Lionel C. Scruffycat the rational lion)
* TaniDaReal (voice and performer of Mika the tough snow-leopardess)

Additional long-time puppeteers and stage-hands are FinFarenath, o'wolf, Tigerseye, Xan and Zefiro. Backdrops have been designed by TaniDaReal. Props, additional puppets and various set elements usually get designed and built by various crew members. The puppet stage manager and assistent director is Reesa. Sound and pre-recordings engineer is Jaryic, lights are operated and designed by Nightfox. The crew also includes the Eurofurence video documentary staff under direction of BigBlueFox and additional helpers for scene-shifting, curtain operation and lighting. The show at Eurofurence XI had more than 20 people on staff.

Among the special guests on the LSD Show were Lisanne Norman, Chairo, Uncle Kage and Heather Alexander.

Jaryic

2010-02-12T16:02:49Z

AtteBot: Robot-assisted disambiguation: Nightfox - Changed link(s) to Richard Nightfox

Henning "Jaryic" Stalke is a German musician and fursuit maker, and the second part of the Black-Paw-Productions Team. He is also the 'R' of the informal band ERF. Jaryic still composes songs in his free time and plays several instruments.

Fursona
His full name is Jaryic Faux DePawn, and his fursona is a anthropomorphic Red Fox, often shown in medieval clothing. Jaryic was formerly known under the name Redlouts.

Jaryic has built and helped building several fursuits, of course always fox characters.

Furdom activity
While still known as Redlouts he played the song Always Around for track 6 of Furry Fantasies II, as well as singing for the song To Your Mind (track 10) and Furry Art (track 5).

He was an important part of Heather Alexander's German furry band at Eurofurence XI and XII in Nuremberg (piano).

Due to his significant technical interests, Jaryic is the stage technical manager of Eurofurence and cares for the audio equipment. He records events such as the Heather Alexander concert at EF-XI and the pawpet show (DoPE). After, Jaryic also professionally reworks those records.

Together with Nightfox he runs the administration of their German furry shop called Black-Paw-Productions. They distribute furry magazines, comics, books, videos, etc. in Germany, usually at conventions, but also online.

Foxbox.cc is a user-friendly website for furs who want to meet and chat with other furs from around the world. While it's primary section is the forums where members can chat, discuss, and role play with each other, its user driven gallery is generally the most active part of the website.

*Address: Foxbox.cc → http://www.Foxbox.cc
*Administrator Riox

Forums
The forums for Foxbox originally served as a support board for the first public download version.
Once Foxbox went on-line though, the forum began serving the purpose of user account management. The boards within the forum have been divided into eight categories which include:
* Introductions: Where new members can introduce themselves and be welcomed by members of the site.
* General & Furry Discussions: Which allows people to chat and discuss over a wide range of topics whether they are of a furry nature or not.
* Gallery and Flash Media: A board that gives members the chance to show off videos and flash files they find or create without having to upload it into the gallery.
* Art 'n' Artwork Exchange: This board gives members the opportunity to share images and artwork, or request for art from talented members who are willing to take commissions
* RolePlaying: Members can use this board for all their role playing purposes. Anyone is free to join in, and there is always one or two role plays which are currently active.
* Storyboard, where members can upload stories or other literary works for anyone to enjoy.

These boards are generally considered Safe For Work, however the RolePlaying and Storyboard boards are mostly Not Safe For Work, and caution is advised if someone wishes to view these boards in a public location.

Gallery
The gallerys name "Cuprum" originated from the sites days as a university project where the administrative team decided to use names found on the Periodic Table of Elements. Cuprum currently has over 700 different flash and video files totaling up to almost 2GB worth of data. It can also handle uploads up to a limit of 25MB, allowing for much flexibility in it's uploaded content. All of the files in the gallery itself have been uploaded by members of the site and everyone is encouraged to upload any files they wish to share using the simple instructions the site provides.

The gallery is separated into Safe for Work and Not Safe For Work, with the Not Safe For Work galleries only viewable by members. The galleries are then further categorized into smaller sets such as Flash, Games, and Movies. The files themselves can easily be downloaded and require no extra add-ons or programs to be obtained.

Members
Registration to Foxbox is free and requires only a minimal amount of personal information. With over 6000 active registered users, and new members joining daily, Foxbox is always alive with new posts and uploaded files. The members themselves are usually mature, well-mannered individuals, and while inappropriate behavior is punishable, such punishments have become rare.

Aikho Ursidae

AtteBot: Robot: Automated text replacement (- -> + → )

Aikho (Aikho Ursidae), or Filip Gran Reierskog is a fur (and therianthrope) from Norway.
He was born in the late summer of 1989 and grew up with the average Norwegian family.
He found the fandom in 2004 but didn't involve himself until the last half of 2005, about a month after he crashed into the were community.
He considers himself a bear therianthrope and chose the Grizzly Bear as his fursona.

Music
Aikho loves listening to music, especially the harder styles of dance, like Hardstyle and Gabber. In 2003, he found an article in a magazine about Fruity Loops Studio, and after trying it, learned how to make his own songs. His first attempts "weren't too good", but he didn't lose hope, and gradually got better.
Now he is most commonly known on some Norwegian music sites (like Lydparken and the Norwegian radio's Urørt page) as T.Z. (oldest project, trance → Hard-Trance), EuroQore (recent project, Hardstyle, Jumpstyle and Gabber) or D-AuX (his newest project, Hardstyle).
He has made a couple of mixes that will be available for download from his secondary website.

Shahila

2009-01-06T18:02:42Z

AtteBot: Robot: Automated text replacement (- -> + → )

Shahila is an artist from Argentina, South America. She has been a staff member and played several characters on a number of MUCKs, including Demi Haze MUCK, MUCK, African Legends, and African Tails MUCK. She was one of the main (along with AudreyPuppy, Tilyn and Kawe) founders and the Head wizard of Sunrise MUCK. Her fursona is a white lioness.

The History
Sofía García was born on 15th of February, 1986, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. During most of her childhood she showed great interest in animals and could often be found drawing them, her predilection always pointing towards big cats. This passion only grew stronger in 1994 with the release of The Lion King, a Walt Disney Pictures production. The impact the movie had on her was so strong that she was immediately motivated on improving her drawing skills. Around the age of fifteen she became involved in MUCKs (Role Playing Enviroments) where she created what would become her artistic name for years to come: Shahila. The first MUCK she joined was The Lion King themed, and her Role Playing skills evolved slowly but steadily as years went by, to the point great quality and creativity. Second Role Playing game she joined was known as African Tails MUCK, that lacked of the bustling activity of other places. With the support of many players of said game, they opened a brand new MUCK, Sunrise MUCK, where she took the Head Wizard position and kept things rolling smoothly for several years.

The MUCKs
Shahila joined several games and in many of them she was promoted to higher ranks:

* HelpStaff - on India MUCK
* HelpStaff - on Pokemon Neo MUCK
* HelpStaff → Head of HelpStaff - on African Legends MUCK
* HelpStaff → Head of HelpStaff - on Flipside MUCK
* HelpStaff → Wizard → Head Wizard - on Demi Haze MUCK
* Wizard - on Guardians of the Sirist MUCK
* Wizard - on Rebirth MUCK
* Head Wizard - on Animatrix MUCK
* Head Wizard - on Sunrise MUCK

The Characters
Most of the time, Sofia joined Role Playing games as Shahila, her white lioness character, but she also created other popular characters known of their uniqueness. She had a thing for designing characters that stood out for their coloration. Xian, one of her most beloved and known character asides from Shahila, was described as a great golden lion with fiery red mane and teal-hued eyes. Here's a list of some of her characters and the games she played them at:

The Art
As Shahila went on from game to game, her level of creativity increased (inspired by her role playing activity) and she found herself interested in character design.
As listed above, during her years in these games, she created more than 30 different and unique characters (at the bottom of this article you can find a link to her Deviant Art account) with individual personalities and histories. She especially liked coming up with backgrounds and stories, especially big scale plots for her game, Sunrise MUCK. Also, she worked on some commissions for the United States and London when she was around seventeen. Nowadays, she uses her artistic talent mostly to design logos for dog sports. She created the logo for the Agility Championship for the Americas and the Caribbean (2008), and also designed an advertisement of an Agility Club for a magazine.

The Present
As it happens with everyone, Shahila soon finished high school and was welcomed with responsibilities that slowly became priorities over the games she had spent so many years playing at. By the end of the year 2006 she had to "pass the crown" of Head Wizard of Sunrise MUCK to her friends, AudreyPuppy, Tilyn and Afya. She started working in a trustworthy company of the Stock Market in order to pay for college, and right now is studying to become a Director of Animated Movies (both in 3D and 2D). In the last semester of 2007 she was awarded with a scholarship thanks to her outstanding marks. She finished that semester with an overall promedy of 9.6 (from 1 to 10). A new addition to the family was welcomed too; Mystic, a female red dobe, was brought home around the end of 2006. Later on she was diagnosed with a health issue that prevented the new dog from training Agility, but the family had already fallen in love with Mist thanks to her sweet, loveable nature.

The Passion
Although Shahila never truly quit drawing, she hardly updates her accounts with new art now a days. Her new passion (and distraction from art) was found in a Dog Sport: Agility. She started taking classes in 2006 with her 3 years old, red Doberman Pinscher, Shadow. The path was rocky at first, but all the way through 2007 she started training with other Agility clubs that taught her all the knowledge they could.
Nowadays she trains at only in a club called "La Jauría", where she feels at home. Shadow participated in many competitions during 2007 and 2008, his main attribute being his speed that isn't often seen in such large breeds. She's travelled for many competitions, and in March (2008) she had the opportunity to participate in the Sudamerican Tournament organized this time in Buenos Aires, Argentina (Sudamerican Tournaments are very important as many countries often assist), and managed to get an excellent 4th place in Jumping. She assisted to all the seminars and classes she could access. The first seminar was instructed by Mr. Kenneth Tatsch, President of the United States Dog Agility Association. The following year she participated in Silvina Bruera's seminar.

Mayors of FurryMUCK
FurryMUCK has historically also had a Mayor, typically elected, although the mayoralty has been known to pass hands for as much as $1.37, and little as the wag of a tail. It was an official part of the process that new mayors were selected in a different way each time. The first mayor was selected by a relatively fair election, so all others thereafter were selected by varying other methods, all deliberately corrupt in some way. Bribery, nepotism, theocracy, and vote-buying were all used.

The joke is that despite the good–natured (and otherwise) hullabaloo over the selection process, the post is almost entirely symbolic. The only responsibility of the Mayor being to change the name of the currency. One day you may be strolling through the park and see "You found a reason to taunt a fox!" and the next you might see "You have 234 catnip mice." Toast explains:

:A good mayor changes the currency frequently, no less than every other day, RL permitting.

Past Mayors and how they lost their title include:

* Triggur (mid-1994 to February 1995) - position bought out in a shady deal with Tugrik
* AJWolf (February 1995 to January 1996) - sold for loose change at ConFurence 7
* Frang (January 1996 - October 1997?) - lost in a corrupt election where the votes could be bought
* Toast (October 1997 - August 1998) - delivered to a god by material sacrifice
* Inari (August 1998 - October 1999) - lost a contentious election
* Mwerevu - (October 1999 - July 2000) - voluntarily stepped down
* Rose de Stitches - (July 2000 - August 2000?) - dethroned after protests, the wizards got annoyed and declared the Mayoralty suspended

While players have asked for the Mayorship contest to return, so far the wizards have not re-approved the event.

Server and Upkeep of FurryMUCK
FurryMUCK currently runs on a Dell PowerEdge 1850 residing at a co-location facility in downtown San Jose, California. The server is a 3.0GHz Xeon-based machine with 2GB of ram and 36G of RAID-1 mirrored 15K SCSI drives. While Tugrik owns and administrates the machine, Revar and Lynx also have physical access for backup administrative coverage.

Server status and donation information can be found on FM_Status. Monthly co-location fees are paid for by wizard and player donations. Tugrik and Revar pay for the rest when donations don't cover the fees in full.

Chris Sawyer, also known as Buck Sawyer, was born in Maryland in 1969. As an artist, he is known mostly for M/M artwork. Chris has a huge interest in anthro animals and has loved seeing them in comics and movies, especially the werewolf movies of the 80's. He does not like any specific type of animal, but his favorites are horses, dinosaurs, sabretooth cats, bird anthros, and dragons. Chris prefers a realistic style above any other form of artwork. The majority of his art is inked and uncolored, and he tends to do single frame work. However, Chris has created several TF sequences. His best TF sequence is titled cs-Undressage, a series of inked drawings with a character named Virgil, an Andalusian horse, and Daphne, his owner. He currently has 1569 items on his website.

He was a Navy EOD and is a serious motorcycle hobbiest, owning several bikes himself. Chris has several other hobbies including archery. He sometimes hosts furry gatherings at his home in the Los Angeles area.

Saph

Saph (born January 30th, 1986) is a furry who lives in Portland, Oregon, United States. He goes by the names Saphron and Saphy and does not like to be called "Saph".

Saph's fursona is a cream-coloured draconic panther, usually winged with the shimmer of scales on his underside. He stands roughly 6' tall, and 190lbs, and wears a pair of Violet tinted glasses. His usual attire consists of skin tight black silk pants, along with a skin tight black silk tank top, complimenting his slender but toned body.

History
From the ages of sixteen to nineteen, Saph identified himself as furry in public, as well as on the internet. In early 2005, going through an identity crisis, Saph renounced his furdom and proceeded to live a fast-paced life of drinking, exotic dancing, and the occasional party.

Throughout that time he ignored his furry alter-ego, but in 2007 Saph began to show his furry side again, and began to socialize with other like-minded people.

He is in Furcadia. There, he is racist, vulgar, and offensive to all five senses. In person, Saph has a very powerful personality, and is very outgoing. He cares nothing for the opinion of others, as he feels superior to them on a regular basis.

Controversy
Saph has in the past stirred up a little bit of trouble in the community, mostly limited to the online game of Furcadia. During his earlier years, Saph ran the first chartered dream to have a gay theme to it, in the area of Furrabian Nights. After a brief encounter with people of lesser intelligence, it became obvious that competition was required in order to keep a healthy consumer base. With the advent of many other themed areas, Saphs dream eventually died out when his personal life picked up, and he lost interest in the furre community. Saph now frequents his successor state, the Gay Forest Inn, for a little bit of drama and mayhem. His previous dream, the Gay Isle, now sits abandoned on the outskirts, ran by former associate Ambrose Ignatious. He's also known for being one of the premier associates in charge of drama within the Furrabian Nights realm, where people often attempt to boot him from groups and parties for being overly obnoxious and hypocritical, but fail at doing so.

Real Life
Saph frequents the night life of Portland, Oregon. Currently working as a Support Supervisor in an office on the outskirts of Portland, his hobbies include Dungeons and Dragons, Live action theater, Stage performances, makeup art, and writing.

F2 (formerly known as DIJ) is a collective of furry musicians and artists from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Band History
The band started in the spring of 2006 after Jason "Dros" Horsley, Alex "Ironklaw" Mason and Jayson "Kupo Nutz" Rosehart recovered from an evening of partying and started fooling around with some sequencing software. Kupo Nutz quickly threw together a bad hip-hop loop and then Dros came up with the idea to call the song Sex Hornet and make it about a couple of local furries that the three knew and didn't care much for. Inspired, Ironklaw began writing lyrics to it and their original song Sex Hornet was born.

They called themselves DIJ (Dros Ironklaw Jayson) and decided that as an added joke, they'd all speak in bad Scandinavian accents. One such conversation was recorded and added to the beginning of Sex Hornet and that running joke became one of the most recognizable features of the group. The group only produced one more song, a comedic 20-second loop called Diddler before changing their name to F3 (after discovering an Oregon metal band with the name DIJ). No-one in the band could agree on what F3 stood for, so they decided it would stand for nothing whatsoever. However, shortly after the name change was made, Kupo Nutz was fired from the band due to personal and creative differences. The name was changed to F2 to reflect the number of members in the band.

While DIJ was a novelty group, writing tongue-in-cheek and often insulting songs, F2 decided to go for something a little more serious, ditching the mediocre Scandinavian accents and changing the overall tone of their music. After all, novelty music is fun to produce, but there was a looming fear that any serious effort made on the part of the group would not be taken seriously. Also, they wanted to focus on other sorts of media to increase their appeal (such as art, animation and even possibly music videos). They tossed ideas back and forth but soon hit a creative slump and produced absolutely nothing for almost a year.

In the spring of 2007, a common friend and roommate of the remaining members, Adam "Spaz" Giles presented them with a rudamentary piece of music he was working on. Over the next few hours, the three experimented with different sounds and whatnot to add to it and gave Spaz some ideas to work with. He expanded on the song and, to date, Ironklaw has started writing lyrics to it. That's when the idea of making F2 a collective of furry musicians came to be. Each member brought their personal tastes in music to the table. Ironklaw's brought his love for rock and industrial dance music to the drawing board, Dros brought his Trance influences and Spaz brought his own mellow composition style to the collective.

F2's Music
To date, they have only completed one song as F2. Ironklaw has a few songs released on both his Fur Affinity and MySpace pages. Their first song has been titled "Aftermath" and is a dark, spoken word piece over an electronic backing.
