Ashur (born 1981) a.k.a. Ashur Mondwolf and the_ashurian) is a male German fur who lives in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

Character
Ashur's character is a werewolf, defining himself as a canis lupus lunae or "wolf from the moon".

Creative works
Whilst being a furry short story and poem writer in the past, Ashur now concentrates on more "visual" arts, such as photography, photomanipulation, and the creation of abstract pieces.

Writings
Ashur started as a writer of short poems. He used them to give vent to his feelings, which were mostly depressive and dark in those days. After joining the furry fandom, the style of his writings changed to a brighter mood, touching upon feelings like love and being free. Ashur has since lost his inspiration for writing, and has changed his focus on other ways of expressing his creativity.

Artwork
Ashur's art depicts neither anthropomorphic characters nor anything drawn. His artworks are mostly of photographic origin, but from time to time he creates abstract digital paintings as wallpapers to share with others.

Ashur started his 'career' as a writer of short poems. He used them to give vent to his feelings -which were mostly depressive and dark those days. After joining the fandom the style of his writings turned to a brighter mood, touching upon feelings like love or being free.

After reading several furry-related stories he decided to write such kind of story on his own: 'The Eden Saga' was born. Being actually a small gift for a friend, Ashur decided to continue the story and so a continent called 'Eden' was developed.

Up until the date where he stopped writing he wrote five chapters of 'The Eden Saga'

*Chapter I: Todfeinde - Die Geschichte von Fayennah & Syrah
*Chapter II: Eden - Der Wächter
*Chapter III: Mondwolf - Das Geheimnis von Eden
*Chapter IV: Franathas - Flucht nach Eden
*Chapter V: Schatten - Das Ende eines Zeitalters

All chapters are only available in German language, but Ashur plans to translate them into English at one time or another.

While Chapters I and II being rather x-rated the other chapters evolved to a more fantasy-based style of writing. Finally, Chapter V, could be seen as a background story of Ashur himself.

All of his written pieces can be found on his homepage, which is currently available in German only.

Artwork
Ashur is not an exemplary furry artist. His 'art' neither shows anthropomorphic characters nor does it show anything drawn. All the pieces he has done are of digital styling, be it of direct digital creating (wallpapers e.g.) or of photography and their alteration. His works can be found on deviantart.

Ashurs character is wolf. But not the average wolf that can be found everywhere: he is a 'canis lupus lunae' which can be translated as 'wolf from the moon'. Mostly he walks as an anthro among all those other furries, but when in special mood he tends to turn into a feral wolf. Although equipped with some psi-powers he seldom uses them.
