Anoki Gryphon has been a furry artist, in the furry fandom since 1998, but has only been active in the fandom since 2004. He used to go by the name Max Nighthowl, but has since retired that name. Anoki's fursona is a black gryphon (formerly a fox,) and the name Anoki is a Native American name, which can be defined as "Actor". The most distinctive thing about him is that he has a high sense of fashion, he sports a mohawk, and almost always wears a pimp hat and a dollar sign necklace.

Born in February 1983, Anoki has always had a passion for art (starting with drawing on the walls.) Sometime around 1995, Anoki decided to pursue a crareer in character animation for games and/or motion pictures.

Anoki currently resides in the city of San Francisco and is working on his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Character Animation.

Anoki attends furry conventions, and is usually seen at Further Confusion. He is a connoisseur of distilled beverages, and an amateur bartender.

Second Life
Anoki goes by the name Anokifox Wakawaka on Second Life, and he can be seen most nights as the head bouncer at Club Moonlight Riviera. He is known as the resident pimp by many of his friends and family only because of his fashion sense and the uncanny ability to attract women (sometimes men too). He does not practice pimping.

Anoki is the founder of the group "The Order of the Gryphon's Claw."
