Las Vegas Fur Con (LVFC) is an annual American furry convention.

Overview
LVFC is run by a convention committee under Southern Nevada Anthropomorphic Events (SNAE), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in June 2022. LVFC typically falls on Easter weekend at the Alexis Park Resort. The convention chair and vice chairs are chosen by the SNAE board of directors. As of June 2026, the Convention Chairman is Tani Coyote. The Vice Chairs are Dirdwolf and Sadie.

History
LVFC developed from the Rebel Anthropomorphic Works and Recreation (RAWR) furry club at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). The inaugural convention was chaired by Addy Acro-Santos, with staff recruited from Las Vegas and the broader furry community.

The inaugural Las Vegas Fur Con was held April 14-16, 2023, at the Alexis Park Resort. The convention was originally planned as an all-ages event, but venue considerations caused the event to operate as 18+. In its first year, LVFC also worked to establish itself as a traditional furry convention distinct from Sin City Murr Con, another Las Vegas furry event that had been advertised with a more adult focus. LVFC 2023 also included a dance competition as part of its programming, however the event was not continued in subsequent years due to limited participation. As attendance at the convention continued to grow, interest in reintroducing a dance competition was periodically discussed by convention staff and attendees.

To improve venue operations, LVFC negotiated a full buyout of the Alexis Park Resort for Friday and Saturday. This allowed the convention to operate the property as a convention-only space during the buyout period. The convention also used the Alexis Park rooftop for 21+ evening events. The success of the buyout and rooftop events contributed to discussions about making LVFC a 21+ convention in future years.

For 2024, the convention also extended its Alexis Park buyout through Sunday, giving the event three days of convention-only use of the hotel. The change allowed LVFC more flexibility with its party block and rooftop dance programming.

Following Las Vegas Fur Con 2024, the SNAE board of directors voted to make LVFC a 21+ event indefinitely. The change was intended to reduce random ID checks at the Alexis Park Resort and improve future venue negotiations.

By late August 2024, LVFC had sold all 496 rooms at the Alexis Park Resort. The convention added the Serene Vegas Boutique Hotel, located east of the Alexis Park, and the Embassy Suites by Hilton Las Vegas, located northeast of the Alexis Park on Paradise Road, as official overflow hotels.

In late 2024, DiviTheWolf joined LVFC staff to manage Block 26, the convention's party block. Prior to LVFC 2025, the party block had been managed by Party Animals West and operated with more autonomy from LVFC. Following the collapse of Party Animals West after Frisky Hyena's arrest, LVFC brought party block operations more directly under the convention. In 2026, LVFC implemented a registration requirement across all convention spaces, including the Alexis Park Resort, overflow hotels, and Block 26.

On December 2, 2025, LVFC announced that it would no longer be able to use the Alexis Park rooftop stage due to structural issues. The loss of the rooftop stage led to the creation of GROWL, a nightclub event held at Piranha Nightclub, located southeast of the Alexis Park Resort.

Following continued attendance growth at LVFC 2025, room demand for LVFC 2026 exceeded the practical capacity of the Alexis Park Resort and its primary overflow property, the Serene Vegas Boutique Hotel. To maximize available room inventory, both properties adopted a Thursday through Monday booking model requiring a four-night minimum stay. The policy was intended to ensure that available rooms remained occupied throughout the convention weekend and to reduce room-night fragmentation caused by shorter reservations.

Following LVFC 2026 success of Block 26, the convention expanded its party block operations beyond the original Block 26 footprint. Additional party spaces were to be incorporated into neighboring buildings of the Alexis Park Resort (Blocks 25-29) on the first floor only, creating a larger designated party area while maintaining convention oversight, registration requirements and accessibility for persons with disabilities to enjoy the party block.

Venue
LVFC is centered around the Alexis Park Resort, an all-suite resort located east of the Las Vegas Strip. Unlike many furry conventions which occupy a single high-rise hotel, the Alexis Park consists of multiple two-story buildings arranged around outdoor courtyards and pool areas. Convention activities are distributed throughout the ballrooms connected to the front desk and buildings numbered 11 through 29, requiring attendees to travel between event spaces using the resort's outdoor walkways.

Many attendees cite the resort's open-air design as a defining characteristic of the convention. The absence of elevators and interior hotel corridors encourages social interaction throughout the courtyards and common areas. Because the convention takes place during the spring, attendees are generally able to move comfortably between venues while enjoying the outdoor environment, even in fursuits.

The resort contains three swimming pools which remain open into the evening during the convention. Guest rooms at the Alexis Park Resort are suite-style accommodations, while the convention's extended-stay room blocks located in Buildings 25 through 29 include full kitchens.

As attendance increased, the convention expanded into additional all-suite overflow hotels including the Serene Vegas Boutique Hotel, Embassy Suites Las Vegas, and Tuscany Suites & Casino.

Furry Village Program
The Furry Village Program (FVP) is a loyalty and hotel incentive program introduced by LVFC in 2024. The program rewarded attendees who book extended stays at participating convention hotels with benefits that may include registration discounts and priority access to future registration and hotel booking opportunities.

Program benefits and qualification requirements are determined annually and may change from year to year.

Convention culture
LVFC embraces many aspects of the city's late-night culture. Registration and attendee services traditionally operate later than at many furry conventions, with registration remaining open until 2:00 a.m. on the convention's opening night. The convention is also known for its active nightlife programming, including Block 26, hotel parties, late-night social events, and the off-site nightclub event GROWL Las Vegas.

LVFC is known for its emphasis on attendee-driven nightlife. Through the convention's party block system, attendees are encouraged to organize their own room parties, social gatherings, and themed events. As a result, a significant portion of the convention's evening programming is created by attendees themselves rather than exclusively by convention staff.

This culture is supported in part by the convention's buyout of the Alexis Park Resort. Because the entire property is occupied exclusively by convention attendees during the event, room parties and other attendee-created gatherings can operate with greater visibility and participation than at many traditional hotel-based conventions. LVFC's approach has helped foster a community-oriented atmosphere in which attendees contribute directly to the convention experience and are encouraged to participate in shaping the event's culture.

The convention's emphasis on extended stays is further reflected in the Furry Village Program, which rewards attendees who remain at convention hotels for longer periods and helps foster a stable community of returning attendees.

== History ==

Las Vegas Fur Con

Mascots
The con's four mascots are Ace the coyote, Kingsley the bighorn sheep, Queen Sierra the mountain puma, and Jackpot the jackrabbit. Each represents a playing card suit and different aspects of the diverse furry community.

Ali started streaming on Twitch.tv in 2016 as a joke to humor their coworker at Best Buy / GeekSquad. Ali eventually found the joy in streaming and continued while their coworker stopped. They started off playing games like Golf It!, Depth and obscure indie games. Ali eventually expanded into multi-streaming even while it was against TOS; expanding into Twitch.tv, TikTok, YouTube, Kick, Trovo, FaceBook Gaming
In conjunction with streaming, they took a charitable approach with Extra Life; children's charity ran via Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Ali's fundraiser link can be found at https://www.extra-life.org/participant/ali. They are part of the Extra Life team Furs For Life ran by TK Wolf. Ali traditionally promises minimally 50% of all of their platform payouts (bits, subs, super chat, ad rev) and 100% of their merch profits to Extra Life.

Ali has been seen eating One Chip challenges, changing their stream schedule to play "kid" games, shaving their head and making merch milestones such as plushies.

Las Vegas Fur Con

Mascots
The con's four mascots are Ace the coyote, Kingsley the bighorn sheep, Queen Sierra the mountain puma, and Jackpot the jackrabbit. Each represents a playing card suit and different aspects of the diverse furry community.

Ali Avali (born March, 23rd 1995) is a content creator/streamer, IT technician who lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. They currently serve as the Director of Technology for Las Vegas Fur Con and its parent organization, Southern Nevada Anthropomorphic Events.

Biography
Ali was born in North-Western Minnesota. In 1997, they relocated to North Dakota, where they resided until 2019. Following a brief move to Arizona in 2020 to work for the state government (and to escape the cold in North Dakota), Ali relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2022. Since a child, they have had a strong interest in computers and various technology. They joined various organizations as a young adult; such as Student Leadership/Government in middle and high school school, Army JROTC, FBLA and SkillsUSA in High School. Later, joining the US Air Force. Always taking a challenge to problem solve both in technology, leadership and organizational structures.

Fursona
Ali's fursona is an Avali, a fictional nomadic, avian-like alien species originally created by RyuujinZERO. They are a Orange, White and Black colored Avali. With their back marking a silhouette of their tail.

Content Creation & Charitable Efforts

AliAvali: /* Fursona */

Ali Avali (born 1995) is a content creator/streamer, and IT technician who lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

Ali started streaming on Twitch in 2016 as a joke to humor their coworker at Best Buy / GeekSquad. Ali eventually found the joy in streaming and continued while their coworker stopped. They started off playing games like Golf It!, Depth and obscure indie games. Ali eventually expanded into multi-streaming even while it was against TOS; expanding into Twitch, TikTok, YouTube, Kick, Trovo, FaceBook Gaming

Fandom Involvement
Ali entered the convention scene in 2019, attending AnthroCon as their first convention, followed by Midwest FurFest later that same year.

Convention Staff & Leadership
Ali has extensively contributed technical expertise to southwestern furry events:
* Biggest Little Fur Con (BLFC): Ali joined the convention's infrastructure team as an IT Recruit in 2021 and was promoted to IT Staff for the 2022 event.
* Las Vegas Fur Con (LVFC) & SNAE: Prior to moving to Nevada, Ali supported the event as a Lifetime Super Sponsor. They joined the convention staff in 2023 as the IT Lead 2nd. In 2024, they stepped up as the IT Lead and Systems Administrator for both the convention and its parent organization, Southern Nevada Anthropomorphic Events (SNAE). In 2025, Ali was appointed to their current role as the Director of Technology for both SNAE and LVFC, overseeing network infrastructure, Docker-deployed web assets, and backend server administration.
