Streets of His City & Their Labors of Love is a set of two furry novellas by Alflor Aalto. It was partially published in 2012 on SoFurry and Fur Affinity and then published in print with several additional stories and all-new artwork by Fennec. This book chronicles the beginnings of Prince Natier's adventures, as well as the birth of his alter ego, Rivard.

This publication is part of the Llyran Wars series.

Streets of His City
Young Prince Natier narrowly avoids an early grave when he and his mother are attacked on a diplomatic mission to the far-off province of Septimine. Luck smiles upon him again, and the young fox survives the long journey home. Blaming his father for everything, Natier spends his days alone in his chambers, longing for freedom. His wish is granted when the young fox accidentally discovers a secret passage that leads out of the palace and into the city that surrounds it.

Their Labors of Love
When the love he thought would last forever runs its course, Sirius learns the meaning of heartbreak. But in his languish, the young raccoon makes a friend in a fellow palace servant named Kaarper. The rabbit is eager to help in any way he can, and soon hatches a plan for getting Sirius back together with the love of his life. Sirius follows blindly for the sheer hope and possibility of having Alir in his arms again. As the plan slowly comes to fruition, however, the young raccoon may realize that not all the choices he will make are as clear as his love had made them seem.

The Looking War
Years have passed since the spy and his hunter had fallen in love. With every new assignment, Orrin and Trivus play their game, each coming within just a hairsbreadth of success to keep the higherups happy. But soon a special mission comes, and neither of the two lovers is allowed to fail. Their game has just become a war.

Just Like That
Prince Natier's explorations of the City take an interesting turn when he stumbles into a brothel and discovers that perhaps love and lust can, in fact, be kept entirely separate.

Llyran Wars

2012-10-07T02:49:14Z

Alflor:

The Llyran Wars is a series of furry novels and short stories written by Alflor Aalto. They chronicle the continued adventures of Prince Natier, Kaarper, Sirius, Samrin and a number of others. This collection of novels and short stories takes place in the period of turmoil known as the Llyran Wars, a time when the fragile relations between the kingdoms of Llyra and Aarya grew to their thinnest and erupted in conflict.

There is currently a total of four novels planned for this series. Two have already been released, and the others are still in production.
Inspiration
The world of Llyra and Aarya was inspired by Europe during the High Middle Ages. The two fictional countries, as well as the countries that surround them, are not based on any real-world counterparts. The names in Aarya, however, do tend to sound more British, while the names in Llyra have many double vowels and consonants (similar to something you'd find in Wales).

Alflor was inspired to write this series after having been a lifelong fan of the Redwall books. Unlike Brian Jaques, however, Alflor wanted to create a series where the protagonists have just as many flaws and unlikable traits as do the villains.

Thanks so much for cleaning up my WikiFur pages! In the future, I'll use one of those edited pages as a template to make sure everything's done properly. I also have a question, actually. How do you want me to do the book summaries, because I noticed you've removed the ones I had put up. Thanks again! --Alflor 21:31, 23 February 2012 (EST)
