I believe that this article should be moved to either [[Protogen]] or some more generic name that encompasses both Protogen and Primagen. Primagen are much much less common in the fandom due to their proprietary nature. Users (like myself) will much sooner search for a Protogen article.

Another solution is to split Protogen into its own page. I'm unsure if this is appropriate given the similarities between the two species, but it is a solution. It just feels strange that a much more common species is treated as a subsection of an article on a much less common species. Planning for ConFuzzled started in 2005 after several people from the UK furry community became frustrated by a lack of prior organisation. This group decided to organise a furry [[convention]], based upon their experience with [[furmeet]]s. Confirmation of the venue was announced on the website in February 2007; the same month, further details of the convention events were also announced, along with the unveiling of the website and logo. The ConFuzzled Forum and FAQ opened on May 12, 2007. ConFuzzled Focus, a magazine-style newsletter, started on 29 October 2007. As well as many of the events found common to most furry conventions (Fursuit games and dance competitions, GoH and Charity events, etc), ConFuzzled runs several regular unique events each year (as events are run on an attendee-submitted basis, not all events are guaranteed to occur in every convention year; the following list is illustrative and reflects the convention in the mid-2020s).

* Pub Quiz: Formerly the [[WikiFur]] Pub Quiz, attendees form into teams of no more than eight people and answer questions provided by a host on an answer sheet. The questions often link to the theme of the convention but can also cover general knowledge, history, geography, music, and pop culture. Answer sheets are exchanged, and teams mark each other's answers.
* Frankensuits: Attendees are given basic supplies of fur offcuts, materials, cardboard, and other odds and ends; hot glue, sticky tape, and tagging guns, and given one hour to build (generally horrific and humorous) fursuits, with the winner for the 'best' suit sometimes given a prize. All the suits that are completed are then welcome to take part in the fursuit parade that immediately follows.
* MotorFurs: Car and bike enthusiast furries gather with their vehicles to show them off.
* Escape Games: Formerly run by 'Agent November' and a rotating cast of supporting 'Agents', now run by [[Azakir]], Escape Game-type experiences at the Convention, usually with a new game each year.
* Directors' Sea Shanty Hour: The convention directors dress up in their best seafaring regalia and lead the crowd on performing popular [[w:Sea shanty|sea shanties]].
* Yard Sale: A special sale at the end of the convention in the [[Dealer's Den]] for convention events and Pawpet show props, signs, memorabilia, old stock, and other items from the convention that would otherwise have been thrown away. There is also a last chance to buy charity items or extra convention sponsorship items such as t-shirts. Profits for everything except for sponsorship items are given to the convention's charity.

Despite being done on a very low budget, participants play for joke prizes while keeping accurate to the format of the original gameshow being imitated, complete with sound effects, music, and graphics on the stage screens. These segments are pre-recorded and played back live during the show, wherein the eponymous Taskmaster will judge their efforts and reward points. Two tasks are performed live: The opening "prize task", where participants must bring in an item for the eventual winner to take home; and the "live task", which is performed on stage in front of the audience.

From an initial 136 attendees in 2008, ConFuzzled has grown rapidly such that as of 2011, with an attendance of 499, it became the second-largest furry convention outside of the United States (second only to [[Eurofurence]]).

In addition to fantasy works, Gold also writes stories set in a world roughly analogous to modern-day North America, peopled by [[anthropomorphic]] animals. The unofficial name for the setting comes from [[Forester University]], a college that features in many of the stories.

Among the stories set in this world is Gold's novel ''[[Waterways]]''. The book is structured as a [[Wikipedia:Triptych|triptych]], comprising the stories "Aquifers," "Streams," and "Oceans" (the first two of which were originally posted on [[Yiffstar]]).

Kyell is writing a series of novels, set in the the Forester universe, the series name is "Out of Position". Some of the stories are taken from previously publish works, and some are new and exclusive. ===Dangerous Spirits universe===

In 2012, Gold published ''[[Green Fairy]]'', his first work of fantasy fiction which was not explicitly sexual in content. Like the Forester universe, ''Green Fairy'' is set in a region roughly analogous to modern-day North America, as well as the region of "Gallia" (analogous to France) and Siberia (analogous to Russia). The book was followed by ''[[Red Devil]]'' in 2014. The third book in trilogy ''[[Black Angel]]'' was also planned with release date to be announced.

The theme Gold most often returns to is "young gay furs looking for love." Typically, the fact that the characters are gay is not a problem for them. But with the novels ''Waterways'' and ''Out of Position'', the theme is instead young furs struggling to accept their gay side.

Tac is a blue rockstar [[cat]] with dead-like eyes and 'amazing hair'. It debuted at [[Furloween X]] and is inspired by [[Wikipedia:Gorillaz|Gorillaz]] cartoon vocalist, 2D. Tac has trademark actions, such as crawling in a spastic manner across convention carpets or bending over backwards. It's often considered to be a zombie fur by his appearance and undead antics. The true story behind this behavior is attributed to Tac's unstable soul prone to frequent possession by free roaming spirits. Work has occurred over time on the suit portion. Its head was remade and limbs were extended. Currently, the suit has been retired and disposed of due to age and wear-and-tear.

At [[Furry Weekend Atlanta 2009|FWA 2009]], Tac exhibited several dance performances including his first place winning performance at the 'Furries Got Talent' show.

The two commissioned their suits from Phoenixwolf33 and have a classic tall-and-short dynamic when collaborating on "Dash and Mangy in the Morning" video series, which is based on a running joke in the comedy show and community. It's also a furry discussion and interview web series. The two officially married in America in 2015.

Several attendee rooms were searched on Friday morning following a police report of a suspicious object. Ultimately nothing was found.

Since May 2023, beeps' fursona has been Ash, a mutant [[amphimorpho]]. A fursuit of Ash, created by [[Cassius Crafts]], debuted in March 2026.

Prior to this, beeps' [[fursona]] since 2017 had been Emy, a [[wikipedia:Honduran white bat|Honduran white]] [[bat]] (''Ectophylla alba''). Initially organic, in 2020 the character was temporarily transformed into a [[anthroid|robot]]. This change became permanent in 2021. Other former fursonas include Tori Belliachi, a [[folf]] used from 2006 to 2008, and Alexander Grey, a long-tongued fruit bat (''Macroglossus sobrinus'') used from 2008 until beeps' hiatus from the fandom in 2012.

Since May 2023, beeps' fursona has been Ash, a mutant [[amphimorpho]]. A fursuit of Ash, created by [[Cassius Crafts]], debuted in March 2026.

Prior to this, beeps' [[fursona]] since 2017 had been Emy, a [[wikipedia:Honduran white bat|Honduran white]] [[bat]] (''Ectophylla alba''). Initially organic, in 2020 the character was temporarily transformed into a [[anthroid|robot]]. This change became permanent in 2021. Other former fursonas include Tori Belliachi, a [[folf]] used from 2006 to 2008, and Alexander Grey, a long-tongued fruit bat (''Macroglossus sobrinus'') used from 2008 until beeps' hiatus from the fandom in 2012.

In October 2022, beeps' [[wikipedia:Plural identity|headmate]] Olive became self-aware. Olive is represented as a living [[plush toy|plush]] [[fursuit]] designed after an eastern fox [[squirrel]] (''Sciurus niger'').

== Fursonas ==

Since May 2023, beeps' fursona has been Ash, a mutant [[amphimorpho]]. A fursuit of Ash, created by [[Cassius Crafts]], debuted in March 2026.

Prior to this, beeps' [[fursona]] since 2017 had been Emy, a [[wikipedia:Honduran white bat|Honduran white]] [[bat]] (''Ectophylla alba''). Initially organic, in 2020 the character was temporarily transformed into a [[anthroid|robot]]. This change became permanent in 2021. Other former fursonas include Tori Belliachi, a [[folf]] used from 2006 to 2008, and Alexander Grey, a long-tongued fruit bat (''Macroglossus sobrinus'') used from 2008 until beeps' hiatus from the fandom in 2012.

In October 2022, beeps' [[wikipedia:Plural identity|headmate]] Olive became self-aware. Olive is represented as a living [[plush toy|plush]] [[fursuit]] designed after an eastern fox [[squirrel]] (''Sciurus niger'').
