'''YamikaDesu''' (born 24 August 1996), affectionately known as '''Yami''', is a Spanish music producer, game developer and engine programmer. She composes tender, cinematic electronic pieces and builds small narrative worlds that blend music, characters and virtual art. Her work is published on platforms such as YouTube, Patreon, Spotify and Apple Music, and she is an active creative presence in the VRChat community.

== Career ==
Yami began sharing music publicly in the early 2020s. From intimate piano motifs to full cinematic swells, her songs often read like short, emotional stories. She produces instrumental tracks and vocal works, frequently weaving character-led concepts into her releases.

She has also worked for the Furality and VRChat translation teams, translating content into Spanish.

== Musical style and themes ==
Her sound is characterized by a wide amount of layers and textures that combine together to convey a unified message throughout the song. Many releases form part of a broader conceptual universe dubbed '''Yami’s Project''', in which musical characters embody emotions and narrative themes. The project often draws inspiration from archetypal motifs, including personifications of the seven deadly sins reimagined through music.

She also tries to create a wide variety of musical styles to convey a greater number of different emotions.

== Musical characters ==
Yami’s Project is populated by a loving cast of musical characters — each one a small world of mood, colour and story. For the character list and images, see Yami’s Project on the artist's website. <ref>{{cite web|url=https://yamikadesu.com/yamiproject.html|title=YamikaDesu - Yami's Project}}</ref>
