Hello Agahnim, you removed text from BullGator article with edit Summary ".. this claim has been discussed at an actual paleontology forum and shown there to be a fabrication". I'm hoping you can provide a link to that forum discussion. --EarthFurst 00:21, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

:The forum where it was discussed is Gondolend. I don’t think the discussion itself is accessible anymore though, since after a short time BullGator began sending e-mail threats to its administator Will Svensen, until Mr. Svensen finally deleted the thread just to make BullGator leave him alone. I’ll quote the private message Mr. Svensen sent me about this in which he explained it:

:“He's been emailing me, but the only way that influenced me to delete the thread was to shut him up. I'm well aware of how empty the majority of e-threats are, so I'm not the least bit intimidated by some whiny douchebag from the UK. He's emailed me once after I deleted the thread and banned him from the forums, but I haven't bothered to read what he has to say.”

:I can also summarize the discussion about this, since I was one of the main people who participated in it. It consisted of two main points. The first is that although there are several members of Gondolend who read the scientific journals where BullGator’s research would be published if he had done any, no research published anywhere has ever been cited to him. The other is that when I first encountered BullGator in summer of 2004, he was claiming that he was about to begin writing his Ph.D thesis, which would be published in fall of 2005. Fall of 2005 has now come and gone, and in March of this year BullGator made a LiveJournal post in which he claimed that he’s nearly finished with the preliminary analysis he would need to perform before beginning to write his thesis. Although his thesis was supposed to be finished in around 16 months, after three years he’s apparently made no progress at all.

:You can PM one of the other members of Gondolend if you need someone else to confirm this, but it’s worth keeping in mind that most of the people there aren’t furries, so they may not be interesting in helping contribute to this article. --Agahnim 21:27, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

*I don't believe he is active or involved in any dinosaur rpg communities at the moment. He used to be, but no longer is. Although he does sparingly participate at a forum (paleolit.spreebb.com) which might be a good addition to the external links. I do not believe his strictness for detail in the portrayal of dinosaur rpg characters caused him to have enemies either, as there is no evidence to suggest that.

*He and Crow are no longer involved in a relationship, so they do not currently consider themselves one another’s boyfriend and girlfriend.

*In Projects, for his RPG he has listed: "Deinok.com, which was abandoned due to its webmaster breaking into online accounts at other websites belonging to the people who posted there." This should be removed as he never created an RPG on that site.

*The Internet Drama section is where the most disputes come from. I personally don't think it's necessary at all, but if it's to remain intact, it would be the last thing I would propose changes for. This article was badly outdated, so I took the liberty of updating it. I see now that during the past year I missed another string of personal attacks against my article, as well as a few edits that were made for less than honest reasons. For example, I’m sure Creeper is aware that Deinok.com was one of the places I created my RPG, as he was the webmaster there—I suspect the reason he removed that part of the article was only because he didn’t want it referring to his own treatment of the people who used that site.
Agahnim, also known as Aggie, Anhinga, Microraptor or Cayro, is a 23-year-old artist, writer and cartoonist named Jonathan Kane, who exists on the fringes of the furry community. He currently lives with his girlfriend Ferahgo in North Carolina. Most of his art and writing relates to paleontology, evolution, and the origin of birds, particularly in order to make fun of creationists for their failure to understand these topics. He is best known for a drawing a webcomic titled Occam’s Razor, starring the superhero Captain Occam and his nemesis the Prattmaster.

Occam’s Razor
The Occam’s Razor comic series was first introduced as a private joke private joke at Christian Forums, a forum where Agahnim often debates with creationists. The nature of the joke revolved around creationists who rely on “PRATT lists”: lengthy lists of arguments that each have been refuted numerous times before, “PRATT” being an acronym for Point Refuted A Thousand Times. However, this comic quickly became so popular that it grew into an entire series. In addition to Captan Occam and the Prattmaster, its recurring characters include the following:

*Dr. Hovind, a caricature of the infamous creationist Kent Hovind, who is portrayed in the comic as an evil mastermind.
*Mr. Pardalis, a character based on an actual paleontologist for whom Agahnim has worked. Both the character and his real-life counterpart bear more than a passing resemblance to Revolver Ocelot, although in the comic this resemblance is slightly exaggerated.
*Mr. Pardalis’s student, a young man based on Agahnim as he was in spring and summer of 2003, while working for this paleontologist between high school and college.
*Ixerin, a Deinonychus based on the Fursona of Agahnim’s girlfriend Ferahgo.
*Zedekiah, an ignorant and arrogant creationist pastor. He is named after a similarly self-righteous king described in the Old Testament of the Bible.

Reception
The reaction to these comics has been overwhelmingly positive, with posts about them from such high-profile sites as Dresden Codak and Pharyngula. Ironically, most members of the furry community have little familiarity with these comics, and know Agahnim only for his participation in their own community.

Other Projects
Other than Occam’s Razor, Agahnim’s most popular online project is a Yahoo! group about dinosaur reproduction. This group contains several people who wish to study the topic from a scientific perspective, as well as a number of furries, some of which may have a fetish for this topic. This reflects Agahnim’s goal to provide a common ground for these two groups.

Another of Agahnim’s online projects is the creation of a dinosaur RPG that attempts to reconstruct the lives of extinct animals in as realistic a manner as possible, without involving the anthropomorphism that is common in most such RPGs. This RPG has gone through several iterations at different websites, which include:

* Terribleclaw.com, which was shut down as a result of being spammed by Bobby Plank, the ex-boyfriend of the webmaster’s sister.
* Deinok.com, which was abandoned as a result of its webmaster breaking into accounts at other websites belonging to the people who posted there.
* Snakebird.net, Agahnim’s own website from 2004 until 2006, which was abandoned following his seperation with Crow, the co-administrator of the RPG forum who was his girlfriend during this time.
* SpreeBB.com, the RPG’s current location.

A third project shared between Agahnim and Ferahgo is the creation and management of Domain of Darwin, a DeviantART community devoted to evolution and debunking creationism.

NPOV

However, the comic quickly became so popular that it grew into an entire series.

Both the character and his real-life equivalent bear more than a passing resemblance to Revolver Ocelot, although in the comic this resemblance is slightly exaggerated.

Reception
The reaction to these comics has been overwhelmingly positive, with posts about them at such high-profile sites as Dresden Codak and Pharyngula.

Another of Agahnim’s online projects is the creation of a dinosaur RPG that reconstructs the lives of extinct animals in as realistic a manner as possible, without involving the anthropomorphism that is common in most such RPGs.

* Snakebird.net, Agahnim’s own website from 2004 until 2006, which was abandoned following his seperation with Crow, the co-administrator of the RPG forum who was his girlfriend at the time.
* SpreeBB.com, the RPG’s current location.

A third project shared between Agahnim and Ferahgo is the creation and management of Domain of Darwin, a DeviantART community devoted to evolution and debunking creationism.

Personal history
Agahnim has been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome by Charles Cartwright, a neurologist at the University of Medicine and Dentistry hospital in Newark. This may explain some of the unusual traits and mannerisms for which he is known.

This, and a series of bad experiences at various high schools to which Agahnim has gone, have caused Agahnim to be hospitalized at several points for depression and/or obsessive-compulsive disorder. This also led to him being prescribed with a number of psychiatric drugs which altered his behavior further. He ceased taking these at the end of 2003, but may have not yet completely recovered from their effects.

Communities
The online community in which Agahnim is most active is the dinosaur RPG community, which revolves around creating dinosaur characters and writing fictional scenarios in which they interact with characters created by other members. However, Agahnim rarely participates in these RPGs themselves, primarily because of the creative liberties taken in most of them and his own preference for strict accuracy in portrayals of dinosaurs. He has several enemies in this group because of this fact, as well as because of his rivalry with Drachaeus, another member of the same community.

In spring of 2004, Agahnim and Crow (the administrator of one such forum) developed a romantic interest in one another. They met each other offline for the first time in August of that year, and currently consider themselves one another’s boyfriend and girlfriend.

Agahnim occasionally participates in the mainstream paleontology community. However, he rarely posts at Gondolend, the most popular forum in this community, due to a disagreement with the forum’s administrator dating from summer of 2003. The nature of this revolved around a religious debate between him and one of the forum’s other members, which Agahnim brought up during the discussion about the administrator’s father who had recently passed away. The psychiatric drugs Agahnim was taking during summer of 2003 may partially account for this mistake.

Agahnim also participates frequently in the creationism vs. evolution section of Christian Forums where he specializes in debunking creationists’ claims about topics related to dinosaurs.

Projects
Agahnim has created and managed several major online projects. The most successful of these is a Yahoo! group about dinosaur reproduction which he runs together with Tim Isles, a zoologist from the United Kingdom. This group contains several people who wish to study the topic from a scientific perspective, as well as a number of furries, some of which may have a fetish for this topic. This reflects Agahnim’s goal to provide a common ground for these two groups.

Agahnim’s other major online project is the creation of a dinosaur RPG founded entirely on information gathered from scientific articles regarding paleontology, although this has proven less successful. Although the RPG itself has been created on three separate occasions, in all three cases it was abandoned shortly afterwards due to problems with the website where it was hosted. These include:

* Terribleclaw.com, which was shut down as a result of being spammed by Bobby Plank, the ex-boyfriend of the webmaster’s sister.
* Deinok.com, which was abandoned due to its webmaster breaking into online accounts at other websites belonging to the people who posted there.
* Snakebird.net, Agahnim’s own website, which was defaced several times by the Deinok.com webmaster.

Art and writing
Agahnim’s most influential piece of writing is Ned the Creationist, a poem describing a fundamentalist Christian and his refusal to acknowledge even the most obvious evidence in contradiction to his viewpoint. This poem briefly acquired a cult following among members of the online paleontology community in spring of 2003. It is likely inspired by Agahnim’s experience at Timothy Christian school, a fundamentalist Christian high school to which Agahnim went during 11th grade. This experience also served as the inspiration for Dinosaurs are Still here, Agahnim’s most popular piece of writing during the past few months.

The majority of Agahnim’s visual art involves dinosaurs and their relationship to birds, particularly those of them that are considered transitional species such as dromaeosaurids. In September 2005 he was accepted to display his art in the Dinosauricon, although his gallery currently contains only the single image with which he was first accepted to the site, probably because the slow approval process for new uploads.

Internet drama
In addition to his artwork and online projects, Agahnim is known for his involvement in several internet dramas that resulted from what he considered his online presence being threatened by another individual. His most common tactic during these dramas is to act as an archivist, keeping careful records of what people do and say online in order to present counterexamples when someone makes a claim with which he disagrees.

Agahnim vs. Tengu
The first of these dramas involved Tengu, the former webmaster of terribleclaw.com, who attempted to impersonate Agahnim at Clouds, the now-defunct Orbyss.net forum, and her own forum Drunken Tengu. This also involved Tengu and Hunter Green posting digitally edited versions of Agahnim’s copyrighted material at Eat All Furries, and Agahnim was banned from the forum after threatening legal action against the members doing this. Several months later, Agahnim evaded his ban together with one or more other previously banned members in order to spam the forum, which was shut down a few hours later. However, the EAF administrators have claimed that this shutdown was intentional and had been planned in advance, which if true means that it was probably unrelated to the spam attack.

During the course of this drama, another member of Eat All Furries known as Drachaeus broke into Agahnim’s accounts at DeviantART, LiveJournal and Fictionpress, deleted the contents of all three of them, and used them for himself in order to mock Agahnim for several weeks. This led to a second drama revolving around Drachaeus, as well as Agahnim distributing the IP addresses of several members of Eat All Furries with the intention that it might lead to their accounts being attacked as well.

Agahnim vs. Drachaeus
Shortly after defacing Agahnim’s online accounts, Drachaeus proceeded to deface the Gondolend forum as well as online accounts belonging to several of its members, including Mike Hanson, Ivan Kwan, and Matt Martyniuk. Because several members of Gondolend initially blamed Agahnim for these attacks, Agahnim made it his goal to find the actual culprit, and accomplished this approximately two weeks later.

However, the fact that the culprit was the webmaster of Deinok.com caused several members of the forum at this site to begin questioning the safety of allowing their forum to be hosted there. In October 2004, the forum was moved to Snakebird.net, Agahnim’s own website. Snakebird.net was subsequently defaced several times by the Deinok.com webmaster, and the ensuing drama revolved around proving whether or not Drachaeus was indeed the person responsible for these attacks. This drama culminated in April of 2005, when the Colorado Bureau of Investigation visited Drachaeus’s apartment after tracking IP addresses associated with several of these attacks. However, this drama has recurred at several points after this due to individuals refusing to acknowledge that Drachaeus was the individual responsible for this, and Agahnim’s own insistence that others accept the conclusion drawn by the CBI.

Agahnim and several of Drachaeus’s other victims have also claimed that their computers were infected with Trojans during the course of these attacks, the most notable of these being the Gondolend administrator Will Svensen. However, because this cannot be observed directly in the same manner as the defacement attacks against his victims’ websites, it is more difficult to verify.

Agahnim, also known as Aggie, Anhinga or Cayro, is a 21-year-old artist and writer named Jonathan Kane, who exists on the fringes of the furry community. He currently lives and attends college in the Princeton area of New Jersey. Most of his art and writing relates to paleontology, evolution, and the origin of birds, particularly in order to make fun of creationists for their failure to understand these topics. His art also often shows influence from the furry community and role-playing video games from the early- and mid- 1990s, particulary Chrono Trigger and the Legend of Zelda series, the name “Agahnim” being a reference to the latter.

However, the EAF administrators have claimed that this shutdown was intentional and had been planned in advance, which if true means that it was probably unrelated to the spam attack.
