D'Otter (Allan D. Burrows) is a Canadian writer of furry erotica. He created Otter River, a linked series of stories about a mythical otter tribe and the sexual and moral education of young N'Kanna, his friend the rabbit Lai'iya and their friends. So far, the on-going series includes Anything But Temptation, Between Fate And Death, More Dangerous Than Fire, Stranger Come A-Calling and Backsplash!; more are pending.

D'Otter had a series previous to these about a future in which humans create Furry slaves. It describes the effect that they have on human society. The series, called "Furry!" included the stories "What Bunnies Are For," "No Greater Love Has Any Man," "Michelle," "Lost Cub," "Spatch -- Cat Burglar," (in three parts), "Rebecca Told Them" and "Brother Treehouse," as well as two Christmas stories set in the same "world." Unfortunately, these stories were lost in a series of computer accidents; only What Bunnies Are For survives.

D'Otter has also written stories based on the works of others. Jezebel's Pleasure is based on StormKitty's A Private Heaven. A Taste Of Heaven, (which includes a character from "Jezebel's Pleasure"), and How You Play The Game, (which includes the character Kuro, created by KalebFenoir), are based on Roochak's cartoons of the lesbian cat-and-mouse couple Sheila and Sandi. His erotic horror trilogy, Hot Date with A Vampire, Hunger And Hunger and Little Sister center around his character, a vampire bat named Dominica; however, they were originally based on the character Gothica, who was created by Animus Caninus. (When D'Otter wanted to distribute the stories more widely but found himself out of touch with Animus Caninus, he replaced Gothica with Dominica to avoid copyright issues.)

D'Otter's recent works include "Back Brush," a story about the vital importance of proper grooming in a society of Wolves, and the epic erotic poem The Ballad Of Horse And Vixen. These are not part of any series and all of the characters are his own. In July 2008, he completed I'm Gonna Make You Love Me, a new Sheila and Sandi story that returns the now-wealthy Sheila to her roots in an impoverished Detroit neighborhood.

D'Otter's work can be read at Fur Affinity, as well as on Yiffstar.

Happy Tree Friends is a violent animated series of internet cartoons, produced using Macromedia Flash by Mondo Mini Shows from creators Rhode Montijo and Kenn Navarro. The series features cute forest animals encountering frequently bloody and violent deaths.

Characters
Cuddles
A huggable yellow Rabbit, who always wears pink bunny slippers. He can be very mischeivous.

Giggles
A cutesy pink Chipmunk, who loves to ride the unicycle. Always wears a red bow on her head. Best friends with Petunia the skunk, and possible girlfriend of Cuddles the bunny.

Toothy
A light-purple, freckle-faced Beaver, who has two very large teeth. He tends to act before he thinks. Best friends with Cuddles the bunny.

Lumpy
A blue Moose with an upside-down antler, who is very nice, but also very stupid. Much taller than the others and not as cute-looking (lacking a heart-shaped nose, three-apples-tall proportions, etc.) Because of this, he's considered to be the odd-man-out.

Petunia
An indigo Skunk with a flower on her head. Conscious of the fact that she is a skunk, she always wears a pine-scent car-air freshener around her neck to cover up the smell. The small flower on her head may also be for this purpose, and she may or may not use perfume.

Sniffles
A grey-bluish Anteater, who, like all other anteaters, loves eating ants. When he tries to eat the ants, however, they always kill him in sadistic manners to stop him from eating them. Sniffles is very nerdy, but is also very smart. He is commonly seen carrying books around. He wears glasses and has a pocket protector.

Handy
An orange handyman beaver who is always there to lend a helping hand, if he had any! He wears a worker's helmet and belt a lot. Despite being an amputee, he is very good at building, carpentry, fixing things, etc.

Flaky
A female red porcupine, who has a very bad case of dandruff, thus the name. Flaky is considered to be one of the cutest Happy Tree Friends characters, due to her sweet voice and timid nature. Usually she is mistaken by fans as a coward, but recent acts of bravery have proven that she is not.

Nutty
A rabid, green Squirrel with a lazy eye, who is literally addicted to candy. He constantly has cravings, and will try to get some any chance he gets, in any way. He loves all candy, and sometimes has delusions. Ex: Once, in "Stealing the Spotlight", he started gnawing on some Christmas lights, thinking they were sweets.

Flippy
A green bear, a veteran of war, who has Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder. He had a very hard time in the war, (some fans believe it was the Vietnam war, but Kenn Navaro has said that Flippy was involved in many) and when certain things remind him of his days, he "flips out" and kills other characters out of stress in various creative, but gruesome ways.

The Mole
A blind, pink Mole, who likes to wear purple turtlenecks shirts. Even though he is incapable of sight, he ironically avoids most fates. He loves plushies, and is a spy agent.

Mime
A purple Deer, who is a mime. He likes bringing sick children joy, and eating peanuts. He can do many entertaining things, such as miming, making balloon animals, unicycling.

Russel
A turquoise Sea Otter pirate. His vocabulary seems to be extremely low, as he only seems to say 'Yarr' (usually pronounced "Yee-arrr".) He is a more laid-back pirate, as he prefers to spend his time fishing, eating clams, etc. He doesn't appear in much episodes, unfortunately.

Disco Bear
An orange bear, who loves dancing to disco music. He likes the girls, Giggles and Petunia, (even though they're not too fond of him) but doesn't seem to like Flaky much. Disco Bear is one of the least liked characters in the series.

Splendid
A blue, superhero flying squirrel, who's attempts at saving others always go violently awkward. When flying, his large tail seems to work as a superhero's cape, whooshing behind him. He has many powers, such as laser beam eyes and the ability to turn back time. Splendid is commonly seen doing household chores. His hobbies include cross stitch and cooking.

Lifty and Shifty
Two green, kleptomaniac (obsessed with stealing) raccoon brothers, who share the same personality and markings. They might be twins. One of the furries and greatest artists of the official Happy Tree Friends forum, Natasha, (known as "Nifty") love Lifty and Shifty, and has even created a girlfriend and HTF fursona known as "Nifty".

Pop and Cub
A father and son, both of the bear species, and with fur coloured natural brown. Pop loves his son, Cub, but is very irresponsible in caring for him. Pop is always seen with a maroon coloured bathrobe. Cub is hepless but innocent baby, who tends to wander. He, like other young bears, is still learning about the world around him, and very curious. Pop always has his hands/paws full, as his wife is never there. No one know what happened to her.

Cro-Marmot
A green, prehistoric marmot, encased in a cube of ice. Despite being completely frozen, he is capable to do many things, such as throwing snowballs. He only does this off-screen, however. Kenn Navaro, creator of the show, has confirmed that he is an ancient species of marmot (a kind of rodent that lives near mountains) which is able to be trapped in ice (marmota antiquus, respectively.) He is considered by many fans to be the most boring character in the show, though some disagree.

Pandora Pup

Pandora Pup is an anthropomorphic dog character originally created by furry artist, Doug Winger.

History
Doug originally depicted Pandora as a fun-loving, well-endowed female anthro pup who lived up to the "Winger" reputation: she was more than willing to yiff any fur, any time, anywhere, in any way possible -- but in a manner that showed she was having a lot of fun and enjoying every second of it. Over time, Doug's depictions of Pandora evolved from a female into a herm pup, and Pandora is now known more as a herm fur than a female character.

FurryMUCK
A furry character named Pandora appeared at the Hermaphrodite Haven on FurryMUCK, and she quickly and easily lived up to the image of the character depicted by Doug. Any appearance at the Haven by Pandora would be a guarantee that fun yiffy activity would take place at the Haven, as Pandora gladly and eagerly displayed her charms and her abilities in public for any fur in the Haven to observe or take part.

However, Pandora makes it known that she is not played by Doug Winger himself. Doug makes regular appearances at the haven as Doug or JustDoug, while the character of Pandora belongs to a different (anonymous) player on Furry.

Doug has given his approval and blessing to the character of Pandora, and the two have been known to engage in pleasant conversations while Pandora is busy yiffing any fur who happens to be in the room at the time. (Doug himself is not a yiffy character, and his VR counterpart is known for strictly engaging in pleasant conversations and bad puns, but no actual yiffing.)

:This is not the same person as the similarly-named writer Doug Linger

Doug Winger (also known as JustDoug) is a well-known artist in the furry fandom whose trademark is hyper-endowed herm characters. Though he is best known for the hyper-endowment depicted in most of his drawings, his art also characterizes his good humor and attention to detail.

Doug is also known for his quick wit and love of word play. The unofficial unit of squickage, the milliWinger, is named after him, as is the term Wingerized.

A rumor suggested that Doug was an animator for the acclaimed Nickelodeon cartoon series Spongebob Squarepants. This rumor is incorrect, but he has indeed worked as an offsite freelance animation background artist for the same company for Dora the Explorer and Angry Beavers.

Doug regularly plays himself as a human character on FurryMUCK, where he often spends time in the Herm Haven (a place whose very existence can be partially credited to him). One of his most famous furry characters, Pandora Pup, is also a regular resident at the Haven — but she is not played by Doug.

Doug presently resides at the Hotel Yorba household in Santa Ana, California, USA, with fellow artists Steve Martin and Bob Guthrie.
