Chaired by Addy Acro-Santos for 2023, the convention gradually recruited more staff from Las Vegas and the broader furry community.

The first iteration occurred on April 14-16, 2023, at the Alexis Park Hotel.

The 2023 event was intended to be all-ages event, but venue considerations made the convention turn 18+ for year one. As a result, LVFC had to struggle with the idea that it was the second year of Sin City Murr Con, and with the idea being 18+ would mean the con was meant to be overly sexual.

One of 2023's noticeable features was the hotel being bought out on Friday and Saturday, ensuring only furries were on-site. These days, the convention also rented the hotel rooftop, the site of a 21+ party both nights.

After year one's completion, LVFC decided to experiment with being 21+ for 2024, hoping to reduce ID checks at its current venue and improve negotiations with future venues. The convention also bought out Sunday, ensuring only furs would be on-site for three days straight.

Initially, Tani Coyote and Addy Acro-Santos served as co-Chairs, but in August of 2024, Tani took over as full Chair. Unlike in 2023, for 2024 the convention sold out all 496 rooms of the Alexis Park by late August, forcing the need for overflow hotels.

Mascots
The con's four mascots are Ace the coyote, Kingsley the bighorn sheep, Queen Sierra the mountain puma, and Jackpot the jackrabbit. Each represents a playing card suit and different aspects of the diverse furry community.

Typical programming
* Dealers' Den
* Artists' Alley
* Art Show (General and Mature)
* Art Show auction
* Charity Auction
* Fursuit Parade

Staff
Board of Directors
As of June 2025, the Board of Directors of Southern Nevada Anthropomorphic Events consists of the following:

* Violet the Fox - Chair of the Board of Directors
* Jaykie - Secretary
* Tani - Treasurer
* Addy
* Amber Grayson
* Crake
* Dodge Deluxeado
* Holly Fox
* Kai Ekewaka
* Kiro Hyena
* Sadie
* Serenity

Guests of Honor
* 2023 - Howl Out (Wolf), Kris Yim and Whiskey Dingo, Orlando Fox, Run, Definitely Run!
* 2024 - BardicRJ, Rahne (DJ Addix),clarify RoSphix, Oddy, TokensArcade
* 2025 - Pommy (Sean Chiplock),clarify Aviators (Sky), SeiRruf
* 2026 - TBA

Themes
* 2023 - The Enfurtainment Capital of the World
* 2024 - Nuclear A-Paw-Calypse
* 2025 - Ad Vegastra
* 2026 - Medieval Chivalry

Charity
LVFC supports Las Vegas TransPride, a 501(c)(3) organization that aids the trans* community of Las Vegas.

* 2023 - Las Vegas TransPride ($6,220)
* 2024 - Las Vegas TransPride ($10,352.97)
* 2025 - TBA
* 2026 - TBA

Attendance
{| class="wikitable"
|-
! This initiative led to the creation of CanthroFur as an official convention.

Etymology
The name CanthroFur is composed of:

C for Centre, referring to its central location in France,
Anthro, referring to anthropomorphic characters,
Fur, referring to the furry fandom.

Although the name could suggest the abbreviation “CAF,” the organizing team chose CTF as the official shorthand, based on the syllables of the event’s name.

Development and Organization
The first edition of CanthroFur was successfully held, despite some logistical challenges during the ski resort excursion, particularly regarding participant transportation.

Starting with the second edition, a shuttle bus system was introduced to transport participants to and from the ski resort throughout the day. This change was implemented to improve participant safety and to reduce the use of personal vehicles.

For the fifth edition, two ski resort outings are planned, on Friday and Saturday, with transportation included for all participants.

Identity and Theme
CanthroFur has developed a strong identity centered around local food and regional gastronomy. The event regularly features traditional local dishes, as well as local producers who come on site to sell their products, such as cheese, terrines, pâté, and honey.

What began as small, informal furmeets has gradually evolved into a full-fledged furry convention, while maintaining its original spirit of friendliness, sharing, and community-driven values.

Staff
* Minevek - Chairman, IT/AV, ski
* Renard Moelleux - Treasurer, IT
* Kinana - Safety & HR manager
* Lowell - Con-Ops & Com manager
* GunthBalt - Dealers Den, Tech
* Rocky - Design manager
* Staff page

CanthroFur 1
The first event was held January 7-9, 2022.
