Nightwind "Arthur" Sapphire (Nightwind005 on Furaffinity, previously wolf_exp. Born 25th August 1987) is a male furry and fursuiter. He is a avid Art collector often commissioning personalised work from various artists.

He lives in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear of the United Kingdom.

:He is openly gay and currently in a relationship with Lucky Citrine (An artist whose fursona is a Husky).
:Both are happy and plan to keep it a "closed" relationship.

Fursona
Nightwind is represented by an "Angelic" Grey Wolf. His eyes range from sky blue to deeper shades of ocean.
He is a cool shade of grey with a white chest and muzzle, as well as the addition of white "socks" on his feet and the tip of his tail.
:His distinguishing features include a Blue pawprint on the left side of his chest, as well as a pair of markings resembling wings (reminiscent of the Taoist Taijitu) on his back.

Like some furry's his fursona also includes hair. It often varies between shades and hues of teal and sky blue.
In the past his fursona was represented with long hair (almost reaching his waist). However, through time his hair tended to fluctuate with different lengths. Now, he opts for shoulder length hair and less.

Nightwind's "character" is focused around spiritual balance. So in addition to his "normal" fursona, he also has an Angel and a Devil alternative.

His Angel form has a pair of large white wings replacing his back markings. His hair also becomes several shades lighter and his eyes change to an Amber hue. He has a much more "pure" and agile visage in this state.

In contrast is his Devil form, which has a pair of featherless, bone structures replacing his markings. His eyes become fully black with his iris becoming blood red.
His hair becomes several shades darker and his teeth and claws become visibly longer.

:Mainly, these alternative forms are used for roleplay as well as a "story backing" for his fursona.

Clothing
Nightwind's fursona mainly garbs in plain, summery clothes. This includes an open, white shirt and tan shorts or jeans. He also wears a silver star necklace given to him by his lover and a old silver ring in the motif of a wolf. On occasions he wears a gold star stud on either ear (mainly the right).

His alternative forms (Angel and Devil) tend to wear the same clothes he does but with noticeable alterations (e.g: Angel form tends to have torn, yet much more elegant wear compared to his Devil form which has grungier, more leaden clothes).

Originally, rather than a silver star, he had a pair of Dog Tags for a necklace.

His character is prone to dressing up. As a fighter he also wears armours (Both Medieval and Samurai armour). He also tends to wear flamboyant clothing and he has recently taken up an interest in Cosplay.

Fursuit
It was within 2009 that Nightwind entered the field of fursuiting. He currently owns only one fursuit which he uses in parades, Furmeets and any other social events which allow fursuits (e.g: Cosplay).

He hopes to purchase a second fursuit in the near future for more "outdoor" type activities.

The design, which follows closely to his actual fursona, was commissioned by a small fursuiting firm, Don't Hug Cacti.

Originally the designers of Don't Hug Cacti intended to include the small patch of blue pubic hair present on his fursona. Initially he went against this idea, in order to make the suit more socially friendly.

His first public wearing of the suit was in Manchester, November 27th 2009.
The suit was a big hit with everyone attending the event.

Secondlife
Nightwind (Second Life name, Nightwind Shu) was the original owner and creator of the Clubhouse.

The Clubhouse was made as an online spot for furries situated in the United Kingdom to meet up and socialise virtually.
However, Nightwind gave away his "establishment" due to funding problems.
The current owner is now, Talyn.

Newcastle Furmeets
Nightwind is a frequent visitor of the Newcastle Furs (A small Furmeet situated in Newcastle).
He is often there to socialise with his friends but on occasions he has had ran a few in the past.

He was the first furry within the area to commission a picture of the entire group in 2008. Noticeably, after doing so, it became increasingly popular among other furries in the UK to have pictures made of their groups.

The Newcastle Furs have reasonably increased in number since then.

Relationship
Around 14th of February 2010 Nightwind dated Lucky. Shortly afterwards they became a true couple.
They both remain true to each other to this date.

Both Lucky and Nightwind met each other in person at a Furmeet. Initially both were shy around each other, but soon after Nightwind was able to ask Lucky to go out on a date with him.
They eventually began seeing each other more often and quite quickly changed their status to an actual couple.

With Nightwind's fascination with art and Lucky being a fairly new anthro artist (at the time back then), they both considered this as a mutual benefit.

Appearance on television
In March 2011, Nightwind appeared on the premiere episode of ITV2's OMG! with Peaches Geldof, which covered the topic of the furry fandom in one segment. Nightwind was interviewed in a mini-documentary for the segment and appeared before the live audience in his full fursuit, in which he proceeded to hug members of the audience. On hand as a guest was Dom Joly, the host of Trigger Happy TV.
