The theme of the convention is "Halloween", as this fits in with the date of the event itself. There are no planned events or performances as of yet. However, there are plans for talent show style auditions. From the responses on both the UkFur Forum thread, Facebook & Twitter posts regarding these auditions, it seems that the idea was not well received. The website continues to lack any information on this.

Aside from the convention chair, the Organising Committee consists of Tami and BB in Admin, Trigger as head of Security, and Joka and Danta as event co-ordinators.<ref>[http://forum.ukfur.org/topic/44698-fur-isle-con-october-2014/?p=1622949 Forum Post about Staff]</ref> Other volunteers have gotten involved on an unofficial basis at the moment, whilst a few vacancies continue to exist, especially within the Security team.

During the early part of 2014, the FurIsle Con [[Fur Affinity]] page began leaving shouts on many UK users' pages, urging them to attend. This produced vastly negative reactions.{{cn}} (from a small number of people, and mostly positive reactions from a large group of interested potential attendees that might not otherwise have known about the event). More seriously, there has been a sudden drop in information coming from the event's Twitter, Facebook, FA, and Blogger accounts recently.

== Venue woes & Event re-planning ==

On the 30th March 2014, the Fur Isle facebook page reported that they were "Looking into moving away from an entirely hotel based convention, to hiring a building just for the day events, a short walk away from the hotel."
