Dirk "Lynard" Lang is a german furry fan, a puppeteer at Eurofurence's pawpet show, helpstaff and organizing member of the Mephit Mini Con.

Fursona
Lynard is a shapeshifting character who is found on various MUCKs such as Sociopolitical Ramifications, Tapestries or YIMU Island. He is also sometimes online at FurryMUCK but that happens not very often due to the lack of time. His main shapes are of a cat and a wolf, but he was also seen in various other forms, switching between them like other people changing clothes.

Lynard is an organizing member of the Mephit Mini Con, responsible for its webpage. He is a puppeteer at the Eurofurence's pawpet show DoPE, playing Lionel the lion as well as some other side characters, surprising his friends with different odd voices. He has helped at Eurofurence in many ways: helpstaff, shuttles service and (for the last three years) security. When you find him in a very good mood he is know to cook or bbq for his friends at small furry meetings. He also maintained a german Furry FAQ, drawing from the archives of de.alt.fan.furry, formerly assembled by Unci. (annotation: He doesn't maintain the faq any longer due to the lack of time). There are also rumours saying that he could be seen lately in Furnation Prime on Second Life.

Lynard lives nearby the city where Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen discovered the x-rays. He is known to speak a sometimes slight dialect of this area which confuses others a lot. He earns his money as being a programmer for a local manufacturer, doing all sorts of reporting, data grooming, writing little tools and being a computer geek.

In his spare time, when he is not online, he plays various sorts of role playing games, pen-and-paper style (midgard, shadowrun, vampire, werewolf, earthdawn, dsa) as well as on his computer (neverwinter nights, morrowind). He also likes reading a lot with a slight drift to comics and japanese mangas, but also shows interest in sci-fi and fantasy novels. He collects all sorts of dvd's with a colorful mixture of genres (from cartoons to horror).

He is known to take a lot of photos, from furry cons, when travelling and so on. You might want to visit his gallery.

Open Questions
A lot of people are wondering how old Lynard is. He will not give out his age here, but as a slight hint, he joined the furry fandom in the year when the first Eurofurence convention was held; unfortunately he couldn't attend it. However, one year later he was seen in Linköping visiting EF 2.
