Inherit the Earth: Quest for the Orb was an adventure game, originally released in 1994, similar in style to Lucasarts games. It featured a 100% furry cast, as well as graphics from Reed Waller of Omaha the Cat Dancer. It was originally developed by The Dreamer's Guild for Mac OS 6, Amiga and DOS, with recent rereleases for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. It is currently being distributed as a multi-platform CD (Windows, Mac OS X, Linux) by Wyrmkeep Entertainment.

Plot
In the game, you must guide Rif the Fox in a quest to find the Orb of Storms, which has been stolen. The world is populated by Morphs, anthropomorphic characters which are said to have been given intelligence by humans in the distant past.

Comic
Inherit the Earth is also a comic strip, drawn and co-written by the art director of the game, Allison Hershey, and co-written by Joe Pearce. The plot line begins several months after the game's events. The first strip was posted on 22 March 2005.

:For other uses of the name Wolf, see Wolf.
Wolf was a video game produced in 1994 by Sanctuary Woods. In this 'edutainment' game, the player took on the role of a wolf, trying to live a successful lupine life. Even such features such as barking, howling, and scenting were included.

The game could be customized: everything from the pack to the world playing in to the species could be changed, for people who wanted to just 'play around' as a wolf in certain situations. In addition, there was mission play, in which the player was challenged to perform certain tasks in about 40 different scenarios -- escape a group of human hunters on helicopter, for example, or successfully raise a litter of pups before the winter came.

The game came in two versions: Floppy and CD-ROM. The CD-ROM version included longer video clips as well as bonus soundtrack as audio CD tracks, but was otherwise the same game.

Wolf was so successful that it spawned a sequel, Lion. However, despite the same level of effort being put into the sequel when it came to fact-checking, the sequel was seen as a cheap port of the original, and did not have the same success as Wolf.
