MobianLegends is a Canadian Sonic fansite, founded by Ringtailed Fox on October 13, 2008, and based in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, though is open to everyone, regardless of loation. It was formerly partially-hosted by Digibase Operations (with the remainder at Provo, Utah-based Hostmonster.com), but is now in the process of moving to a full dedicated server at Lansing, Michigan-based CoreNetworks. The website originally started off as a home to host the fanfic series "Mobian Legends", written by Rozene Kitsune and Ringtailed Fox, but has since grown to include many other areas of the Sonic Fandom as well. The website runs its own custom-written graphical CMS, the "Echidna Rendering System". The website is not strictly Sonic-only, as it also offers a large amount of StarFox-related information, as well as having plans in the future to offer the basics on SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron, Biker Mice from Mars, and The Raccoons. The website as a whole has several "essays" and introductions into furry-themed animated programs, like Swat Kats, and Sonic the Hedgehog, as well as Star Fox.

Sonic the Hedgehog
MobianLegends is a "Classic Sonic" fansite, focusing on the first five Sonic the Hedgehog Games for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive and Sega CD/Mega CD (Sonic the Hedgehog), Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic CD, Sonic Spinball, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Sonic & Knuckles, as well as information on the old "SatAM" Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon show. Completing the website are areas like the Wiki (WikiMobius), "goodies download", comics reviews, and Sonic the Hedgehog themes for Microsoft Windows, Winamp, and Linux.

The website offers some of the following:
* MobianLegends Lite text-based mirror, for PSP/DSi/iPhone/cell phone users
* The Art Gallery of Mobius
* The Mobian Library (Fanfics)
* MobianLegends Forums
* Mobian Mail
* MobiChan (Oekaki/PaintBBS)
* WikiMobius (fanfic-oriented encyclopedia)
* Radio Section
* VOM-DT: Furry Television
* IRC Rooms Info
* [ftp://ftp.mobianlegends.com/ Community FTP server]
* Several different site skins/themes!

Perhaps the biggest portions of the website is its media area: encompassing over 18 GB of audio files, of nearly EVERY single Sonic the Hedgehog music CD that has been released. One particular part of the media area is well-known: VOM-FM. The format broadcasts chiptunes and the webmaster's favourite classic rock and new wave music. Other stations in the process of being added include VOR-FM (industrial metal), and VOS-AM (Voice of Sonic AM), a low-bitrate (~ 16 kbps) all-Sonic-music format station.

Broadcasting
MobianLegends.com is currently in the process of starting up an internet television feed, named "VOM-DT" (Voice Of Mobius - Digital Television), which would air classic Sonic cartoon episodes and other material, similar to Random Sonic Net's "RSN-TV" feed. Alongside VOM-DT are radio stations, the furry and video game-oriented VOM-FM, and standard classic-rock station CFWO-FM (Coming From Windsor, Ontario).

MobianLegends Plus
MobianLegends Plus is the name given to the "extra" area of the website, which hosts emulators for game consoles such as Gens (for the Sega Genesis), and Snes9x (for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System). It is found at http://plus.mobianlegends.com.

Adult Content
Adult Content on MobianLegends is seperated from the remainder of the website, offering Fanfics, Forums, Gallery, and an Imageboard, all at
* Adult Section

StarFox
Towards the end of 2009, MobianLegends had decided to launch Lylat Central, a StarFox Fansite, at starfox.mobianlegends.com (now has its own domain, at lylatcentral.com).

As of 2010, Lylat Central offers the following:
* Forums (Mission Control)
* The Art Gallery of Corneria

Queer as Lylat
Until 2009, user Wulf ran a Geocities website named "Queer as Lylat", an erotic StarFox-themed fansite, containing artwork, a large amount of fanfiction by various artists, and character profiles, all focusing on the StarFox fandom, located at http://www.geocities.com/queer_as_lylat/ (now closed). Other portions of the website in operation while on Geocities also included a guestbook (also shut down), and a community on LiveJournal.

Upon shut down, a mirror of 90% of the site was copied by RingtailedFox, and with the former webmistress (Wulf)'s permission and appreciation, allowed to be continued on MobianLegends, and even assisted with the restoration of the website.

Since its revival, "Queer as Lylat", has been located at http://qal.mobianlegends.com. The website's relaunch has been met with praise and gratitude by the fanfic writers of QaL. Content (such as stories and art for QaL) are also handled by the Adult Section of MobianLegends.

StarFox: Paths of Fate
Plans have been finalized to host Star Fox fan game (and Max Payne 2 mod) "StarFox: Paths of Fate", at http://pof.lylatcentral.com, upon completion of the game.

Webhosting
MobianLegends also offers paid webhosting at http://mobianlegends.com/hosting.php while free webhosting will be offered on a case-by-case basis.

If you are interested in having your art, fanfics, website, or project hosted on MobianLegends.com, contact RingtailedFox at admin(AT)mobianlegends.com.
