== Alex A. Fawkes ==

Since you edited [[Alex A. Fawkes]], I was wondering if you knew where the Alex A. Fawkes comic was. Due to what [[Scaramouche]] says, I'm wondering if both the articles are hoaxes.

:No idea, sorry, I was probably just copy-editing. -- [[User:Sine|Sine]] 20:40, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

== Titles ==

Articles (the grammar, not the reading material) (A, of, the, etc.), except at the beginning of the title of something, should never be capitalized.

http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Excuse_Me_For_Being_A_Dog%21
Should be
http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Excuse_Me_for_Being_a_Dog%21

I could be wrong, but you should check a textbook just to be sure.

-'''[[Image:Skunklogo.gif]]([[User:Skunk|U]])([[User_talk:Skunk|T]])([[Special:Contributions/Skunk|C]])''' 10:10, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

:I checked englishplus.com and the site says ".. Capitalize all the other words except for '''a''', '''an''', '''the''', .. and prepositions of four letters or fewer." reference.com says "for" is a preposition so lower-case "a" and "for" they should be. --[[User:EarthFurst|EarthFurst]] 05:41, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

== Dead Links ==

Just a reminder, with dead links, it may be worthwhile to check http://web.archive.org to see if an archive link would be suitable (or a note in the edit summary saying that an archive version was not found or was not suitable). --[[User:Rat|Rat]] 21:17, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

== WikiFur Noticeboard ==

Hi. I just wanted to make sure you were aware that [[WikiFur:Noticeboard]] was recently opened. Your input on any open topics would be appreciated, and please feel free to open new topics as you see fit. --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 04:36, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

== Con dealers ==

Regarding your recent edit to [[Midwest FurFest 2013‎]], do we really want to get into the practice of listing the dealers who were at a particular convention? It seems to me like going to a level of detail that not many readers would be that interested in and which adds clutter to the article. If some dealer's appearance at a convention is particularly notable for some reason it could still be included, but I don't see why that would be the case with a couple of the dealers you've already listed. --[[User:Mwalimu|mwalimu]] 09:30, 3 December 2013 (EST)

: Thought since convention articles list specific events (including shows, panels etc) that listing dealers would also be of interest. Plus the ones that are redlinks let others know which ones don't have articles yet. --[[User:EarthFurst|EarthFurst]] 13:32, 3 December 2013 (EST)

::I tend to agree that this information is unlikely to be of particular interest to readers after the convention unless certain dealers were notable by their presence. It might be more interesting to have it on the article about the dealer, so that fans have an idea what conventions they are likely to be at in the future, just as some articles record convention attendance. Even more useful would be to add every dealer to WikiFur, as almost all are likely to be of interest to furries and many may be new up-and-coming artists who we should have articles on. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 16:12, 3 December 2013 (EST)

== Categories in DPL ==

I hacked in a fix for [[Template:Furpile|categories in DPL results]]. The existing version of DPL was doing something specifically weird and I'm not sure why - the code is hideous. There's a newer version from a different maintainer who's been trying to clean it up, but it doesn't fix that specific problem and adds more breakage right now, so I'm avoiding it until things improve. The front page should work once the DPL cache times out. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 17:29, 22 April 2015 (EDT)

Why did you move "WereHusky" to "WereHusky (person)"? Planning to make [[WereHusky]] be about weres who turn into huskies? --[[User:EarthFurst|EarthFurst]] ([[User talk:EarthFurst|talk]]) 20:02, 18 May 2015 (EDT)

Sry for my short fuse, Higgs. No, he is still alive,. tube was taken out at 08:00am. He is heavily sedated, so he doesnt respond if i talk to him, but he feels no pain. == Category order ==

Category order is something I've struggled with since joining WikiFur, as I'm sure you've noticed. I'd do better remembering if I had a visual list somewhere to refer to. Since you've been the one following me around with a broom and dustpan this entire time, I figured I'd ask you if you could provide me with one. [[User:Equivamp|Equivamp]] - [[User talk:Equivamp|talk]] 17:29, 12 September 2014 (EDT)

:I follow the example of our Category Lead, [[User:Sine|Sine]]:
:* <nowiki>[[Category:People]]</nowiki> always first
:* Activity-related categories (<nowiki>[[Category:Artists]], [[Category:Fursuiters]], constaff categories, guest-of-honour categories</nowiki>, etc, etc)
:* Species-related categories (generally main fursona)
:* Geographical categories (locations of significance - place of birth, current residence)
:* Time-related categories last (year of birth, year of death)--[[User:Higgs Raccoon|Higgs Raccoon]] ([[User talk:Higgs Raccoon|talk]]) 17:59, 12 September 2014 (EDT)

::The basic idea is to lead with categories which are most likely to be of interest to furry readers, which are more specific to the subject, and which are more "important" considering this is an article about a person (i.e. being a comic artist is more important than being a fox character). [[:Category:People]] is a bit odd given all that, but at least it's easy to remember. Also, having any scheme at all helps when scanning to see if something's been missed out in a particular section of the categories. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 22:27, 12 September 2014 (EDT)

:::Also congratulations on your recent promotion. [[User:Interstellar Shipping & Trading Co.|Interstellar Shipping & Trading Co.]] ([[User talk:Interstellar Shipping & Trading Co.|talk]]) 15:57, 28 October 2014 (EDT)

== Stub tags ==

If I am adding a stub template to an article, where should I put it? Should it go beneath the main text and above the references/external links, like I did at ''[[Guardian Angel]]'', or beneath all that, like at [[Alfa Fox]]? --[[User:Equivamp|Equivamp]] - [[User talk:Equivamp|talk]] 16:51, 10 May 2015 (EDT)
:I'd suggest below everything, at least if you're using that template, as the external links are still part of the article. We also have {{tl|Section-stub}}, which would go at the end of a section. --[[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]]) 16:53, 10 May 2015 (EDT)

== All Finished! ==

Hey there. Thanks for putting my page [[Kima]] in limbo for a bit while I made the major edits to it. I'm rather satisfied with what I've put for now and feel that it is done up enough to be put up.
I will probably have more edits done to it later on down the road, but I think at the moment, the page well enough suits it's purpose. Thanks a ton!{{unsigned|Kima}}

:No problem! If you need any other help let me know. --[[User:Equivamp|Equivamp]] - [[User talk:Equivamp|talk]] 19:29, 14 May 2015 (EDT)
