unreferenced
The Mousey Love Girls (also known as the MLG) are two female rodent characters that have shown up in numerous pieces of furry art by different artists over the years. While often drawn in sexual situations with each other, they've also been drawn with other characters of both genders. There's a claim that the MLG are actually based on two actual human female fans by the name of Charlene and Lynnefact.

Appearance
* Charlene (as a mouse) has grey fur and blond hair and wears glasses
* Lynne (as a mouse) has brown fur and brown hair.

Controversy
A fair amount of dispute has popped up concerning who's actually behind the MLG. While there have been posts made under the name of "MLG" or "Mousey Love Girls" on imageboards, there's often debate as to whether the posts are made by (as "MLG" claims) a duo of women whom the MLG are supposedly based off offact, or by Herbie Bear (No relation to artist Herbie Bearclaw,) who's often credited with coming with the concept of the MLGs.fact

Requests for proof of the existence of the two women behind the MLG are usually met with dismissal, and/or insane requests for proof of existence of those questioning their existence, which only further fuels the controversy.
Are there actually two "real" human female fans that claim that these are their fursonas?. Who made this claim?. Is there some reference we can use to back/deny this claim? -- Spirou 08:54, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
* While I'm not party to firsthand claims of such, various other people have heard about and posted about how two women (supposedly lesbians who refuse to play around with men, save for Herbie Bearclaw) are the basis for the MLG, and every post on messageboards that I've seen that are credited to the MLG are always written as if two people are sitting behind the computer (using pronouns like "we", "us"). As stated in the article, there is no proof to confirm the existence of the two women, though there is also no evidence to deny their existence other than the rampant speculation of most of the fandom who've run across the MLG. --Sage Freehaven 09:40, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Re: Speedy Delete: Not well known?
The MLG are fairly well known to members of various artists' mailing lists, including those related to Jim Hardiman and Max Blackrabbit; posts attributed to them have also been appearing on Fchan for the past several months. In fact, I believe they were posting to Furrynet even before the majority of well-known artists moved to private websites and mailing lists for sharing art. I vote to remove the Speedy Delete. -- Siege(talk) 12:10, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Not sure if it helps anything, but here: MLGs - NSFW. It references a Yahoo Group for them as well. Spaz Kitty 13:51, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
MLG 2
I knew I should have wrote "not fairly commonly known" (I.e "Sabrina", "Chester", etc,...) But, since SpD is out, how do we reconcile the whole MLG=two real girls while other MLG=Herbie's fantasy only?. A Controversy section?. Or just mention the MLGs-the two female human fans, or that the MLGs are "based" on two female human fans?. Suggestions?.

(To tell you the truth, I have only seen the characters a few times, not as much as the Herbie bear "caricature" that seems to be a constant near them.) -- Spirou 18:27, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

* I say lead in with a description of the duo as characters, then have a "controversy" section that talks about who's behind the duo (the two women, as the MLG claim on imageboard posts, or Herbie Bearclaw, which a fair number of people believe) that makes sure to point out there's no evidence that either proves or disproves the existence of the two women that the MLG are (allegedly) based off of. --Sage Freehaven 18:31, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Multiple references
You know, if a claim needs a reference, you shouldn't be inserting multiple links to the same reference. -- Siege(talk) 04:37, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, I've not been able to figure out how to aim all three claims in that one sentence to the same link, since people don't seem to accept a single reference to cover the whole sentence.
