Ozy and Millie is a funny animal comic strip drawn by David Craig "D.C." Simpson. It currently appears on the Ozy and Millie web site five times a week (with some irregularity). In 2002, Ozy and Millie (vol. 4, Authentic Banana Dye) won the Ursa Major Award for Best Anthropomorphic Other Literary Work, as well as Best Anthropomorphic Comic from the Web Cartoonist's Choice Awards that same year.
Mr. Simpson notes on the web site's history page that early versions of the strip's characters first started appearing at the beginning of 1997. The characters continued in his "Tales of Planet Q" later that year, eventually becoming Ozy and Millie on 1 January, 1998. Versions are available in Russian and German, along with a few examples in Latin.

As in Charles Schulz' Peanuts, the main focus of of Ozy and Millie is among a group of children. Unlike Peanuts, however, the few adult characters are sometimes visible to the reader.

A complete list of characters (with pictures) is given on the O&M site's "cast" page.

* Ozy (full name: Ozymandias J. Llewellyn): A grey fox child who's usually depicted wearing a vest, top hat, and no pants. The author often uses the word "Zen" to describe his behavior and weltanschauung. He's a calming foil to the often-frenetic Millie. He's the adopted son of the dragon Llewellyn.

* Millie (full name: Millicent Mehitabel Mudd): A red fox child, usually seen wearing blue denim overalls. An agent of entropy, she frequently hatches odd schemes and acts in a seemingly random fashion. Her mother is Ms. M. Mudd.

* Llewellyn (that's his full name): Ozy's single-parent father, a large, red dragon of great and unknown age. He clearly has some secrets up his sleeve, but you're more likely to see him bathing in banana pudding than chanting ancient incantations.

* Ms. M. Mudd (of unknown first name): Millie's mother. A lawyer, she's thoughtful and practical -- but not above indulging Millie to a point. She and Llewellyn sometimes share wry discussion over tea.
