Ink has been around since running a "Funny Animal"-themed BBS which later became a furry FurNet BBS in the late 80s. The name of the BBS changed frequently as a running joke, with names such as Pentarou! Enterprises, Llama Kingdom, Gerbil Kingdom and more. He now runs a UNIX hosting service at cost for furs with interesting comic and art projects, as well as running HLM MUCK, launched with Natasha.

Some of Ink's stranger stunts were the DrawInk LiveJournal community, the "YIFF!" feature code in Tempest X3, and writing the initial version of this article in the third person. In DrawInk, Ink ran frequent contests and gave prizes to artists who could best draw his character with various themes, and to artists helping other artists develop their skills. DrawInk netted hundreds of pictures, and Ink surprised participating artists by giving Wacom tablets to every last entrant in the first two contests, about three dozen in all. Sometimes it's fun to share.

Ink worked as a game developer, and in Tempest X3 for Playstation, entering YIFF! as the top score enabled a hidden Tempest 2000 mode and placed his past alias, "CatMega" in the credits. Tempest 2000 for Sega Saturn bears a hidden yellow duckling flying about in an Easter basket, Vid Grid for Jaguar CD has a bouncing mouse head if all of the puzzles are completed with specific criteria, and still other games have furry treats still undiscovered.

Ink left the game industry to work on Second Life, where he is known as Soft Linden.
