Mouseboy's art is both controversial and widespread enough that he has his own biography on [[Encyclopædia Dramatica]]. His art is controversial for two reasons:

*Dwelling on controversial themes such as incest and [[cub]].
*His style is often perceived as primitive for its limited color palette, simple design of speech bubbles, and use of [[Wikipedia:Comic Sans|Comic Sans]] as his preferred font. Due to these features he is often confused with another mature fan artist, [[Kthanid]], and many people regard [[Wikipedia:Paint (software)|MS Paint]] as his sole tool of choice.

Mouseboy publishes his stories not as whole comic pages but as individual images.
