Renamon is a fictional character from the Digimon franchise. Renamon's Tamer is Rika, and is a main character in the Digimon Tamers season (as well as the two related movies Battle of Adventurers and Runaway Locomon). Renamon's Digivolution forms are inspired from the Kitsune and other fox spirits of Asian myth. The name "Renamon" is derived from Renard, the French word for Fox.

Description
Renamon became Rika's partner after she received her D-Power shortly after a Digimon Cards tournament. Many Digimon appeared to ask Rika to be their tamer, but at the end, Rika's choice was Renamon; "I just want one strong Digimon". Renamon remained as Rika's companion throughout the Tamers season. Renamon does not remember how she came to the real world from the Digiworld; she only remembers her partnership with Rika.

At first, Renamon's view on humans was that they were just aids for Digimon in Digivolution, and her Tamer, Rika, thought that Digimon were just fighting machines. The two had a distant relationship. As time passed, their friendship grew stronger, having understood each other better, and the two saved each other on many occasions. It reached its zenith when it enabled the final Bio-mergance that sparked Sakuyamon's birth.

She gets along with Guilmon and Terriermon well, but she has an interesting love-hate relationship with Impmon, seen mostly in "Impmon's Last Stand", where she seems semi-concerned for his safety. Impmon however, left the group and later became Beelzemon.

<u>Attacks:</u>
* Diamond Storm (狐葉楔 Fox Leaf Arrowhead): Renamon summons a cloud of razor-sharp shards which she fires on her foe.
* Power Paw (藤八拳 Wisteria Punch): Renamon's fists and feet glow in a ghostly blue light which quickly become engulfed in a raging inferno of blue flames. Renamon then leaps into the air, kicking and slicing at her foes.

Garry's Mod
Due to her popularity, Renamon is the only Digimon to appear in the game Garry's Mod. Other furries like Lucario and Fox McCloud have appeared as well.

Hate Renamon
DasBoSchitt, the creator of the Garry's Mod "Idiot Box" videos, hates Renamon because he thinks she appears too often and is tired of seeing so much of her, comparing her to the smileyfaces in Wal-Mart. For this he has been accused of hating furries in general, which he has denied, saying he has many furry friends and hates only Renamon. Most of his videos depict Renamon either being killed or else in some other negative way, creating a video called "The Tale of Dirty Renamon" portraying her in many ways none of her fans would want to see, ending with Renamon shooting herself in the head while reaching for the phone.

Ironically, her most recent appearance has her attacking one of the meaner characters, Duke Nukem. This is seemingly a departure from her usual negative role, however, it was still intended to create hatred for her (or at least DasBoSchitt's version of her) due to the popularity of Duke Nukem as an action video game protagonist outside the Idiot Box series. True fans of Renamon hate only the scenes rather than Renamon, however, or else are unfazed in that the Idiot Box is a separate universe and in other, especially the canon of Digimon Tamers, she is not portrayed in this way.
