Iron Artist is an annual artist competition held at Further Confusion, modeled after Iron Chef, a culinary show. Three artists are randomly selected out of those registered for the competition, and are called forth from the audience to throw a gauntlet to the incumbent Iron Artist in each of the following categories: comic, cute and spotty. (Each Iron Artist gets to choose their specialty title upon winning.)

Within 30 minutes, in front of the cheering audience, each of the three Iron Artists and each of the three challengers must produce a work of art in their respective category, to be judged by a set of judges (usually GoHs). The hard part, however, is the medium, which artists are not aware of until the start of the show:

* 2001: sidewalk chalk
* 2002: cake icing
* 2003: Sharpie® marker tattoos
* 2004: balloon animals
* 2005: stained glass (paints)
* 2006: pasta/macaroni

The all-time champion of the competition is oCeLoT, who won her Iron Artist Spotty title in 2002 and is still holding it. Rumor has it she can make a spotty cat out of absolutely anything.

Iron Artists and challengers by year, winners are in bold:

* 2001
** Iron Artist Violence: Jim Groat / Challenger: Ursusla "Hedgy" Husted
** Iron Artist Comic: Thomas K. Dye / Challenger: Vince Suzukawa

67.101.219.50:

Shawn Keller (fursona: Cheshire Cat, previously Uncle Buck) is a former Disney animator infamous for the creation of numerous Flash animations mocking the furry fandom. He also produced the notorious comic book Horrifying Look at the Furries in 2001. He was one of the first members of the fandom to build a cartoon-styled fursuit, being a contributor to the fursuit FAQ, and was a member of Rowrbrazzle.

In his own words, Keller's site, "Furry Fans" is "intended for us all to have a good
chuckle, and not intended to make fun of anyone," and to "get across the feel of
the bawdy humor of the old Benny Hill show." He has stated that he still views himself as a furry. Shawn Keller has made an appearance at Further Confusion on more than one occasion, and was even a GoH at the Convention in 2000.

Shawn was for a time a member of the Crush Yiff Destroy forum, but is believed to have taken offence to a review of his latest animation short, which he had recently plugged on the forum. Keller has stated that he will not be using CYD's forum to plug future additions to his site and has also incorporated an amusing jab at CYD in his site's new intro animation.

A short list of animated films featuring the work of Shawn Keller:
* 1985 - Disney's "The Black Cauldron"
* 1986 - Disney's "The Great Mouse Detective"
* 1988 - Disney's "Oliver & Company"
* 1989 - Disney's "The Little Mermaid"
* 1998 - Disney's "Mulan"
* 2001 - Disney's "Atlantis" lead animator for Cookie and Preston
* 2003 - Looney Tunes: Back in Action
* 2004 - Disney's "Home on the Range" lead animator for Lucky Jack

As of 2005, Keller has joined CAAT Studios.
