WTFur is a 2chan style art community for the posting of erotic furry art, and populated with former members from WTFux' /furi/ board.

*Address: http://www.wtfur.org/
*Founder: cho0b, Arcturus
*Administrators: Arcturus, cho0b
*Ran from/to:
** Early summer 2006 - July 24,2006
** ? - ? (moved to new server)
*Logo: "Furry art discussion and critique"

The board does not feature a "Do Not Post" list per se. Instead, it relies on the artists to bring to their attention the presence of non-authorized/"pirated" material for due removal.

The only "exception" to this rule (as stated on the welcome page,) is that "If you (the artist) threaten us with lawsuits, or you are rude in any way in your email, we will discard it and ignore you.", which leaves those images up, until the matter is resolved by other means.

As with WTFux, its main image directory is under a single section also called /furi/.
WTFur 2006 server move
On July 25, 2006, in preparation to moving the site to a new server, WTFur's splash page was replaced by cho0b with an "alledged" notice from the US Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Security Agency, MPAA, and the RIAA.

The "message" informs the viewer that "This website has been closed by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation, in association with the United States National Security Agency, the Motion Picture Association of America, and the Recording Industry Association of America; pending a federal investigation," that their IP has been logged, and to "Please stay where you are. You will be contacted for questioning regarding the investigations related to this website."

Clicking on "Piracy Doesn't Pay" lead to a placeholder image board on the server (/temp/,) with the title /pedofur/. Finally, until the move was completed, all hosted images were archived in a single RAR image, and uploaded to the The Pirate Bay, a BitTorrent tracker.

The original "takedown" image can be found at Vxbinaca.beevomit.org, under the section "7/24/06 FBI Takedown joke page."
