65.96.4.76: Update notice about shutdown.

WereScape, formerly known as Virtual Fandom, is a Furry Community Mega Portal and 3D MMORPG that is specifically geared to the furry fandom. It is the second known attempt to create an explicitly furry-oriented virtual world chat client since Yimu3D. The original project (Virtual Fandom) reached beta state in May 2008 but was then canceled August 27th, 2008 by the developers that "may one day choose to resume, but for now
no plans are being developed."

On November 27, 2008, the project was relaunched as WereScape which as of December 29th has become a Furry mega community portal and will feature the game in coming months.

WereScape allows it's member community to add, edit and delete News articles, Blogs, Events Calendar submissions and also has a neat user gallery system and a customizable user page system.

The website is designed to be easy to use, informative and is designed to bring all things furry together. ^.^

65.96.4.76: Update, non-functionality

cleanup
FurFinder.net was acquired by Bad Karma Networks on August 7th 2007 and commenced construction immediately to serve as the first front-end for the project's experimental search capabilities. The FurFinder project spans four servers:

* A spider that crawls known furry URLs taken from Yiffy.Tk
* A dedicated SQL server for storing and retrieving data
* A 'query' web server which takes requests from and provides results to the web server
* A web server, for front-end presentation

FurFinder differs from most furry 'search engines' in that it constantly and automatically indexes entire sites. It offers an advantage over generic search engines like google in that the domains being crawled are guaranteed to be furry, theoretically eliminating result spam and increasing the relevancy thereof.

February 20, 2009
The search engine is currently non-functional for some unknown reason, searches for any words result in no results,
to properly pun this.. maybe struck by a bit of bad karma? An admin may wish to check on what the issue may be.
