:$100 is correct, based on our accounting of what donating cost them, not on what we got. PayPal charges a fee for accounts that can accept credit card donations - this is why there is a separate account for them, so we don't get charged a fee for those people who want to pay using PayPal direct. As the ledger ''is'' a record of how much WikiFur has to spend, it records the latter amount. A bigger cost is actually the tax - as a private individual, this technically counts as income for me. Fortunately for WikiFur's account balance, I will not be deducting these taxes from the amount available. This is one reason why it is good to people to pay for stuff themselves if they have an idea and want to support it, rather than pay me and have the money taxed twice - once when they earnt it, and once when they send it to me. :-) [[User:GreenReaper|GreenReaper]]<sup>([[User talk:GreenReaper|talk]])</sup> 17:27, 18 December 2006 (UTC)<br />

:::::I'm not sure how it would make it more difficult . . . the actual totals would continue to be from the adjusted value after fees, which would remain in the same place as it is already. The "face value" would be noted in the notes section, which is at the end of the line. This was done for example on Spirou's first donation, which mentioned the face value and the subscription.
