'''Kobura Shinja Cape''' (aka Kobu) is one of the moderators at [[Furgasmic.com]].

He was introduced to the [[furry fandom]] around 2004, when a search for a picture led him to an entirely new concept for him: [[furry]].

The [[fursona]] of Kobura was an idea that came from a dream and later took on a life of his own. A [[Wikipedia:Cobra|cobra]]-[[Wikipedia:Naga|naga]] of sorts, he refers to himself as a 'scaleblood' or a 'coldkin'. He is entirely black, with his body entirely scaly from snout to tail-tip.

==Forum Activity and Tenure at Furgasmic==

He initially joined an unnamed website in late 2006, several years after Kobura's creation, but was asked to leave due to his still being underage. Upon the day he turned eighteen, he returned to the same site and saw that it was not as good as what he remembered. A respected friend, [[Vulpes Proeliator]], guided him to Furgasmic. They later were both appointed forum moderators. In addition to the forum, he moderated the [[FurNet (IRC)|Furnet IRC]] chat, both furgasmic and furgasmicyiff, though neither channel boasts him as a member any longer. He had since branched out on IRC, to regularly occupy channels as Fur Affinity as well, but withdrew from Furnet in general. In the past his presence has been identified on [[Anthrochat]].

www.furgasmic.com has since closed down due to the site's owner's personal decision.

==Conference Activities==

Kobura's first [[con]] was [[FA: United]] 2007 in Newark, New Jersey, and he volunteered there.

Kobura also made his way to [[FurFright]] 07 as well.

Kobura has become a fixture at FA:U, and since 2008 has been as formal a staff member as any. His duties include but are not limited to the direct control of FA:U's volunteer force he refers to as the "FA:Union," named such because of his support of the volunteers as a sort of 'union representative,' ensuring their enjoyment of the convention and tending to their needs often personally.

As of agreements and dark pacts signed at FurFright 2011, Kobura will be enslaved at each ensuing FurFright as well, in accordance with the prophecies.

Kobura battled with Ulcerative Colitis from his 9th-grade year until January of 2007, for a short time being the worst documented pediatric case of the disease in the Lehigh Valley. Diagnosed around age 15, he fought the illness until November of 2006, at which time he had his entire large intestine removed in a pair of surgeries. In January of 2007, he underwent an emergency surgery for a rupture of the sutures from the previous operations, which went cery successfully. However as time has gone on, complications have arisen from the disorders and their effects. Permanent dehydration is a constant companion, as is a difficulty in maintaining proper nutritional balance. Recent months have yielded extreme stress, mental fatigue, and a general difficulty in endurance at work and play.

Kobura is very active and open about his experience and prides himself on helping others with chronic illnesses, particularly intestinal disorders. His surgeon was a colo-rectal expert of Bethlehem St. Luke's hospital. He happily talks about his experience, freely offers advice or support to others undergoing similar circumstances, and is extremely disease-awareness-oriented.

Kobura currently living in eastern Pennsylvania once more. He is eager to meet nearby furs and eventually those further away as well.

Kobura's first 'con' was that of [[FA: United]] 2007 in Newark, New Jersey. He had an incredibly good first con, as self-described, and volunteered what turned from "probably not enough to be recorded" to over 24 hours as he kept agreeing to more and more movements and assignments, his final hour of service being the Closing Ceremonies. Kobura is looking forward to attending 2012's FA:United, having signed his life away as a staff member, but still loving every minute of it.

Kobura also made his way to [[FurFright]] 07 as well, where he met one of his favorite artists [[Dark Natasha]] and successfully commissioned a pencil-artwork from her. He was unable to volunteer at the con, as his attendance was a surprise to him, and his opinion of FurFright was a bit deflated. "I'm happy when I'm working... FA:U kept me busy doing things I wanted to be doing anyway, it was a great experience... I'd like to work (security) at every con I can."
