Although [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singapore Singapore] is an island country of just 710.2 sq km (274.2 sq mi), Singapore hosts a small and growing community of furs. The community community that also keeps in touch with our regional neighbors as a branch of [[AnthroAsia]].

There are currently 4 fursuiters present in Singapore. Namely, they are an orange fox Vee, a Renamon cosplayer (from the Digimon anime series), a black dragon DarkLurker and a housecat Mik (played by sMyle).

Vee and DarkLurker debutted during [http://www.anthroasia.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=1419&pid=14745#pid14745 Halloween 2009 celebrations] in Woodlands. Mik's public debut was made during [http://www.mascotparade.org/ COSMO 2010 Mascot Parade].

For Halloween 2010, a Malaysian fursuiter by the name of CTWolf came down to join the event.

==Furmeets==

Furmeets are held on occasion and can be organized ad hoc due to the small nature of the country and its effective public transport system. On average, there is a furmeet every month with about a dozen or so present per meet. A trademark of local meets is plenty of walking between venues, as there is little need for private transportation.

We are also a community that loves to host visiting furs from overseas by bringing them around the country, and have hosted furs from USA, UK, Canada and other ASEAN countries. Do drop by [[AnthroAsia]]<ref>[http://www.anthroasia.com AnthroAsia Forums]</ref> if you're stopping by!

==Birthdays==

The local furry community celebrates the birthday of every local and visiting fur with a party, which often ends in the end with a friendly pie splat, with a variety of pies and pie toppings varying from birthday to birthday.

This tradition was started in 2008 by an Espeon. In the recent months, the pie has been replaced by a variety of other unusual foodstuffs. Your face may be saved, but not your tongue!
