Rebecca McIvor, also known as Ixis Mir'Amin and Orla Westie (born 3rd June 1991,) is an artist and fursuiter from Nairn, Scotland.

Fursonas
Thorne
Rebecca's first fursona, Thorne, came to life as a wolf character in 2005. By 2006, Thorne's species had changed to that of a dragon, and by 2007, that of an anthropomorphic wyvern. Her name change came in June 2008when the character went under its final revision.

Ixis
Ixis stands at 6'4 and weighs 140 lbs. She has long, shaggy royal blue fur, with small, pale blue scales underneath. Her arms end in elongated "fingers" that are webbed to act as wings. She has a face that resembles a big cat, with opaque blue-white pupiless eyes. She has large ears on either side of her head that curl upwards. Her headfur is long and silver in colour. Her horns, bones, claws, teeth and hooves are made from a tough crystal substance that collects sunlight and gently glows. Embedded in her skull is a large oval-shaped gem. She communicates through body language and telepathy as her vocal cords can only produce screetches and growls. She has no tail.

Orla Westie
Orla was Rebecca's second fursona is that of an anthropomorphic West Highland White Terrier. She is described as being the opposite to Ixis; brash, arrogant, snobby and flirty.

She is shown to have a very strong Scottish accent, and has a penchant for strong ales. She dresses in a more feminine manner to Ixis, often showing cleavage or legs. She has a curvy frame, unlike Ixis's slim, fragile body.

Fandom involvement
Rebecca is part of the Furtopia forum's community, and an artist on FurAffinity. She also makes fursuits and is co-chairing the upcoming Scotiacon.

Fundraising
In March 09 Orla appeared in Inverness with her friend ThrashWolf and raised 110 pounds for UK charity Red Nose Day.

Kraden (born October 8th, 1986) is a furry artist who lives in Canberra, ACT, Australia. Starting off his time in the fandom as a low-calibre digital artist, he slowly expanded his skills and social circles. Now as a rather active member of the Australian Furry and Anthropomorphic scene he's rising as a local personality in the community.

Outlook
When Kraden was asked about his outlook on the fandom:
<blockquote><p>"I used to feel weird about labeling myself as a furry, with the slight social stigmas attached and the difficulty in explaining what it was. Unlike most furs I'm first and foremost an Anthro artist, instead of feeling a lifestyle or desire to personify my fursona.</p>

<p>After a while though I decided to stop mincing thoughts on the topic and just say that yes, I'm a furry. I encourage others to do the same as just accepting that it's something you do makes it much easier and more enjoyable. I'm perfectly capable of laughing at the fandom and myself, honestly, what we do is pretty odd. But therein lies the absurdity and magic, which is what makes it special"</p></blockquote>

Podcasts
Taking Up Space
Kraden was one of the hosts of the now suspended Taking Up Space podcast (or TUSpod), where he was often referred to by his real name. The show was a geek themed, comedic talk show about the weird, wonderful and downright odd happenings in the news, geekdom, media and around the world.

The other regular hosts were Bairn (Emily), Almosee (Nat) and Ashura (Neil) with other segments provided by Kelthoran, RayLiehm, Fenris and Nanaki XIII.

ACTfur On Air
On August 25, 2008, Kraden announced that he would be working on another show under the title ACTfur On Air. The show is a furry/anthro based podcast focusing on interviews, discussion and events inside the local and international fandom.

The hosts of the show are Carnival, Jeneara and Kraden and, each week, they interview members of the furry fandom.
It can be found at http://www.Actfuronair.com

Fursona
Originally named Echo and drawn as a blue wolf, the design was inspired by the artist Spunky, Kraden describes his fursona species as a "WolfCyoteFoxJellybean".

Kraden/Echo's personality and color scheme slowly evolved into a very outgoing, eccentric and unique character. Kraden says that many of Echo's characteristics have leaked into his own personality, so now he doesn't separate his own character form his fursona (as in some earlier art). When asked about this he said:

<blockquote>"Initially when I made my first furry character Echo I was planning on a whole bunch more to draw and create dynamics between. It's been over 5 years now and I still haven't gotten around to making the others. Perhaps it's just that the little blue fuzzball took a hold of my brain and won't let go"</blockquote>

Kraden can be found on Second Life as Kraden Enoch.

ACTfur On Air is a fortnightly furry/anthro based podcast hosted by Carnival, Jeneara and Kraden that premiered on October 30th, 2008. The show is named after the Australian Capital Territory, which is where the show is recorded, and the pun of acting like a fur.

The focus of the show is on interviews, discussion and events inside the local and international fandom, as well as talk about news and events. Each week they interview another person in the furry fandom.

The show is recorded every second thursday and uploaded on Saturday. It was originally live every second Thursday, but are currently boradcasting podcast style untill they upgrade their internet service.

The show was broadcast live every second Thursday through Radio Furture and a cleaned up version is placed online at ACTfur On Air's website a few days later.

In may 2009 they bought webspace and built the www.actfuronair.com website, with articles and embedded players as well as compeitions and other extras. Their aim was to create a furry radio show that was more true to real radio, giving the community the ability to boradcast advertisements and announcements.

At the current point in time ACTfur on air is undergoing a major facelift. The website is still under construction but the show has resumed broadcast.

Hosts
Kraden: An avid artist and member of the local community, Kraden is well known for his eclectic behavior and boisterous personality. Having a love of podcasting in the past, he wanted to start a furry based show with local friends. Honest at heart but born without a filter between mouth and brain, he’ll always try to be interesting to listen to, even if he’s not politically correct about it.

Jeneara: Being new to the furry fandom Jeneara is most likely best known for her active role in the cosplay community. Her love of cute and fluffy things and her spiritual views on animals naturally guided her to the furry fandom. Bright and bubbly she is always up for a laugh. Jeneara always loves a good debate and is not afraid to go against the norm in her views, which always makes for interesting conversation.

Carnival: An enigmatic, energetic and colorful character, Carnival join the show off-site from Tasmania to take the place of Kell Bengal. Carnival is a very active Anthro artist, self proclaimed Bogan, bolstered talker and old friend of kradens.

Kell Bengal: Although active in the fandom for almost a decade, Kell Bengal has kept a low-profile outside of the Canberra furry community. He has a PhD in robotic engineering and has years of technical experience building gadgets and gizmos. While his attitude is often dire and cynical, he nurtures a dry wit and indulges terrible puns. Once described as a store-house of useless information, Kell Bengal enjoys producing bizarre and unlikely facts to amuse and educate. In 2009 he moved to America to study Robotics in Yale. The ACTfur team is going to miss him dearly, but he'll still be sending in segments under the new guise "Kells wonderful life".
