<br />
In September of 2025, it was announced that Further Confusion would no longer be hosting a [[party floor]], a staple of the convention that had been a part of its programming since 2004<ref>[https://bsky.app/profile/furcon.bsky.social/post/3m244ygnvwc2q Due to new policy changes with our hotel partners, we unfortunately can’t host the party floor this year.] Posted September 30, 2025.</ref>. A statement was posted to Bluesky, citing a change in policy by the Marriott hotel connected to the convention center.<br />
<br />
Further details about the policy changes have not been released. The prior year's party floor had experienced a couple incidents that were circulated heavily on social media, such as a group of inebriated teenage hotel guests stealing a convention badge from a [[fursuiter]] to gain access to the space & starting a physical fight with patrons & staff when asked to leave.<ref>[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhgzhORzbzQ Furry Room Party FIGHT Started by NON-FURRIES!] Uploaded March 9, 2025.</ref><br />
<br />
At this time, replacement programming during the event's usual timeslot has not been announced.<br />
