4.159.62.175: /* History */

cleanup
Cheetar Cheetah (born January 4, 1979) is a fursuiter and musician whose fursona is a 6'1" tall, 253 lb male anthro cheetah. He is commonly known as Spots by all of his Furry, and Scalie friends.

History
Cheetar never knew either of his birth parents, and lived with a family in west central Wisconsin. After graduating from high school, and moving out on his own, Cheetar got into music. He even taught himself how to play guitar, began writing songs, and even started an independent record label called Spottycat Records.

Cheetar played at open mic nights and talent shows for about five years, until the lead singer of a band approached him about opening for her and her group. He accepted, and soon drew the attention of a local music shop owner, who also happened to have his own recording studio. He invited Cheetar to cut a demo CD of some of his songs, and was at the second recording session for this album that Cheetar got his first experience with playing drums.

When the lead singer of the band whom Cheetar had been opening for found out that he had played drums, she asked him to sit in as their drummer. After being with that band for a little over a year, he received a partial drum kit, which he quickly went about restoring to full, with some help from his bandmates. A year later, in 2008, he left that band to form a three piece band with two other local musicians called Abnormalice.

2008 also marked a few other milestones in Cheetar's life. The first being that, depite the fact that he was strictly straight for most of his life, he experimented with another male fur whom he had met online and invited to spend the night at his home. The second is that he attended his very first Furry convention (Anthrocon 2008) in June of that year. He is currently preparing to begin saving so that he can attendnthrocon 2009.

Fursuit
Cheetar's fursuit is made of spandex. He designed it himself and ordered it through an online company called "Spandex Outfitters" (which no longer exists). A Fur Friend of his is making an actual fursuit for him though, so Cheetar will have one before the summer is over. .<ref>Post by CheetarCheetah on the FurNation thread "Feline Fursuits".
