A feathery is a furry fan or artists with a preference for avian (bird) characters and themes. It is also an adjective describing characters who are avian (in the same way reptiles are known as scalies.)

The term covers gryphons as well, although not all gryphs identify as feathery.

Some artists noted for their feathery creations are Chris Sawyer, Nami Jarrett, Nambroth, Lyosha, Shawntae Howard, Cara Mitten, and Roz Gibson.
